Curious to try to this place when it landed on one of Chicago's "Best of..." lists for bagels. I honestly wasn't impressed - the Everything Bagel was too salty. It was made fresh so I took their advice not to toast it, which was fine. The Caramelized Onion cream cheese was good, but nothing unique. Hubby was completely disappointed in his choice. First his Beer Bagel was stale - even toasting it couldn't hide that. He also wasn't impressed with the Sriracha cream cheese. I also didn't understand the ordering system, someone wrote down your order on a pad, someone else made the bagel, and someone else rang you up. There were like 4 people behind the counter. It wasn't crowded when we went, so the process seems slower and more prone to hiccups. Hubby had to get his own coffee cup because someone forgot to give it to him. I ordered my bagels so I could enjoy then in the mornings. They did not make it past the afternoon. The fact I took them home means that I did not experience any if the issues I see in the poor reviews. I will agree that I was very confused by the ordering process and the person who took my offer was a bit unconcerned that I was ready. He made up for this by individually wrapping my bagels so that the different flavors don't meld in my bag. Went to brobagel this weekend on a recommendation from a friend. The wait in line was pretty long but not even 5 minutes after I ordered my food was ready! I got the bacon egg and cheddar on salt and it was delicious! The bagel itself was perfectly baked and plenty salted, bacon crispy and overall tasty sandwich! Up until now, I have been unimpressed by the bagels in Chicago. They usually just seem like slightly chewier rolls with a hole in them. Brobagels, however, are REAL bagels, just like the ones I grew up eating on the east coast. I'm so glad that I made the trek up to Wicker Park to try them (despite the name). I'm really impressed by the bagels themselves, but also by the cream cheeses - the lemon dill (on the lox sandwich I had) was delicious, as is the scallion. Totally unimpressive. I tried again today after a weak bagel experience the first time. Today My lox sandwich barely had any Lox, the bagel was small and hard and the sandwich itself had few other (typical) fixins. (No capers, no cucumbers? For shame bro bagel, for shame) my everything bagel should have just been called "salt bagel" as this was more than just the overpowering flavor. Outside of my experience with subpar food, nothing stands out at all minus some interesting cream cheese. Typical menu. The garlic cream cheese didn't taste like garlic at all. I ordered some vegan bagel which was stuffed so full I couldn't eat it. Normally I wouldn't ever be one to complain about an overly stuffed bagel... although, their lack of forks caused some irritation. They also did not have salt or pepper. 3.5 stars but I'll round up. I ordered an egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a garlic bagel with sriracha spread (which I paid extra for). The good: bagel was flavorful and chewy. Eggs were delicious. Overall, a tasty sandwich. The bad: cheese was not very good; wish I could have chosen which flavor I wanted. Also, never got my sriracha spread. what's the point of eating breakfast if I can't have hot sauce with it! $4.50 was way too much for this. The one girl at the counter was very nice even though she forgot my spread. Another employee's boyfriend was hanging around and it was weird. Even from the street you can smell the fresh bagels and coffee. You walk in and typically it is very packed. There can be a long line, however they typically are very fast with fulfilling orders. I usually get the Mozz sandwich, and vary the type of bagel that I get it on. It is my favorite bagel sandwich that I have ever had. This past time I had it on the onion bagel and I think this is my favorite combination so far. The bagel was not warm, however not cold either. The toppings were very fresh and balanced out the onion flavor from the bagel well. The staff was pretty friendly, especially for being as busy as they were! read more

They were baking more Everything bagels when I walked in but they told me it would be 8 min and if have a fresh bagel-so worth the wait. I ordered the everything bagel with bacon egg and cheese. Me and my husband were dying after a long night at lollapalooza and in the morning needed some revival food. Brobagel was a short distance from where we were staying so my husband got in an uber for me to go pick us up something. I called in the order and was on hold for a long time. I'm not marking down for that, because it was a Saturday morning at 9:30 AM, so I can imagine that they were slammed. I got an everything bagel with sriracha cream cheese and it was definitely flavorful but the bagel itself wasn't THAT superb. My husband got the atomic bagel sandwich and said that it definitely lived up to it's name and did the trick to hold him over for our brunch plans with friends later. I didn't see many bagel places in general with stellar reviews, so if your'e craving a bagel I would say give this place a shot. I probably would have liked the bagel better if it was hot and fresh at the location, but since we got it to-go it was a little cold by the time my husband got back. This place was perfect! I just graduated from college and started living/working in the area. Seen this place a few times while walking around the neighborhood and wanted to try it. Walked in for a late lunch sandwich and ordered the Brobagel. Unlike many fast food bagel sandwich places (i.e. Einstein's) that reheat gross and rubbery bacon to use on your sandwich, these guys have very fresh bacon that they crisp up for you. Honestly it was delicious, and I'm not a huge bacon fan. They also loaded it with avocado, which I love cause most places totally gyp you on that ingredient. The garlic cream cheese was probably a bit much for my taste but it probably would have been fine if I hadn't got it on an everything bagel. A bit pricey at first glance but not really when you consider the quality and the size - I am stuffed after eating that! Service was very nice and the place was very clean and beautifully decorated. Loved the nicely framed photos of the brothers who founded it on the wall. I will definitely come back - with friends! read more

Excellent bagels! They are dense and chewy with a sheen on the outside. These guys know what's up when it comes to making the perfect bagel. They not only offer all the usual suspects for bagel flavors, they also have unique ones like beer bagels and walnut raisin bran. Where else can you get a beer bagel with sriracha spread (other interesting spreads include caramelized onion and garlic confit. Only issues I had was the bagel was cold and as delicious as the siracha spread was, they put way too much on it. Service was awesome- very nice and friendly people working here. Service was friendly and speedy, even though there were maybe 8 different parties in the small shop at the same time. Both the sandwiches were ok. Just a-ok. Nothing impressed me; in fact if you told me this was a sandwich from Panera or the next mid-range chain, I'd have believed you. What a terrible experience! My fiancé and I came here after church to grab a quick bagel before we started the rest of our day. We waited over 30 minutes for a bagel with cream cheese and a simple breakfast sandwich. We saw numerous people that came in after us leave before us. The food was cold. The sandwich was greasy. The bagel was overloaded with cream cheese. Overall, it was a poor experience with even worse customer service. The workers were not friendly and they were slow moving. I got the veggie sandwich on a poppy seed bagel which comes with veggie spread, roasted cauliflower (which they were out of), roasted fennel, radish, tomato, and mixed greens. Sounds delicious right? I really wanted to like it but it kinda didn't taste like anything. I don't know if the cauliflower would have made a difference but the sandwich I got was just aight. And probably not worth a second visit. BroBagel is painfully close to my apartment. I love me some good bagels, and Piece has never done me wrong, so my boyfriend and I decided to try it out this morning. I was majorly disappointed, unfortunately. We both ordered the Club Sandwich on an everything bagel. We waited a solid 15 minutes for our take out order, which I found odd, considering there were 3 people behind the counter making bagels and only one person in line in front of me. We got home to find that the bagels weren't even toasted, and turkey wasn't warm, which was a little disappointing. The everything bagel was too salty for my liking. It was painfully mediocre. I would have considered giving them 3 stars, but they forgot the bacon on my Club sandwich. Maybe I'm spoiled after living so close to CBA for a long time, but I was pretty bummed out about BroBagel. I love the bagels here but the service is unbearably slow. They will typically only have one person working during rush hour/ the morning commute on weekdays. For every two people that stick out the line and order, I'll usually see one sigh and leave to get to work on time. I don't know if the owner is too cheap to hire more staff, but they are losing a significant amount of revenue just from walk outs alone. These are people that went out of their way to come to the establishment and left, which is a huge loss and problem with their business model. read more

Do not order these to be delivered. Even if you call and ask them the status of your order they will lie to you and tell you it's on it's way when u actually end up waiting 1.5 hours for the bagels to be delivered. I recommend walking the 5 mins to buy your bagel instead of ordering to be delivered no matter how lazy you want to be that day. Get those steps in or maybe just don't go to this place at all. Have yet to receive my bagels so I couldn't tell you how good they actually are sadly. Update: I received a full refund on my order after having them delivered 2 hours after I ordered. Turns out the driver got a flat tire and wasn't able to deliver them to me. Thought I should give them a little more credit. I still stick with my 2 stars tho. read more

Took a trip here to compare against our all time favorite new York bagel and bialey on Touhy. We do traditional style bagels and order the fixins to make at home. The bagels were the right size for one. The exterior was the proper texture and the inside was cooked perfectly with great flavor. Loves the everything bagel. The salt bagel is fantastic we haven't been able to find that many places. Nice spreads great service. They will be a force to be reconned with in the bagel world. read more

If you don't mind spending 3+ dollars for a bagel and plain cream cheese, then go for it. The bagel was good but they didn't toast it enough for my liking, but it was still good.
