It definitely put me in the holiday 'mood' and has an uplifting ending! The story rapidly progresses and the time just flew by, even though it was two hours long! :) Over the years I have been to 2nd Space Theatre multiple times and each performance that I have been fortunate to attend, has been top-notch! Usually PERFECTLY cast too! The plays that they choose to perform are family friendly, which is why I like to support them. It is a small theater, but that's the beauty of it. The creativity with props, lighting and costumes never ceases to amaze me. For what they have to work with, it's amazing what they can pull off. This is the first time I have gone, where they have offered us SEAT CUSHIONS! I recommend them too! Guess why! ;) At intermission, they sell a variety of candy bars, water, cookies, coffee, and cocoa. All of it is about two dollars each. You cannot take food or drinks into the theater, with the exception of bottled water. You can park directly across the street in the east side of the Dollar Tree parking lot, or near the Chinese restaurant / Health food store area and walk east. I consider what they offer our city as a 'gift'. Fresno truly has some GREAT local talent!

I didn't know that and my friends and I were not allowed to sit together. This was our first time here and we were excited. We ended up spending $300 with dinner for two plus the dessert and two drinks (each). We also had 2 extra cocktail and an upcharge for getting a filet mignon vs the skirt steak or other options available. The cocktails were amazing and definitely the best thing we had. The dessert and appetizer tied for second, followed by the entree. Unfortunately both of our steaks (along with the table next to us) were way overcooked. This is a catered dinner so nothing is cooked to order- you should know that as well. That means everything is warm vs hot and not as fresh as we may prefer it. However, given the venue, it's understandable why. No points were docked for that. ;) Service was great (thanks, Sarah!)

We got to go to a phenomenal performance of The Buddy Holly Story on a Saturday Night, and we were thoroughly entertained! Seriously...our lil' group-a preteen boy, a lady in her 40's, and one in her 80's- all equally sitting and enjoying a memorable night! That's just magic! We were honored to see Daniel Montgomery's Roger Rocka's Debut, as we have enjoyed seeing him in Bear Stage Productions. My son even got to talk with super talented, Danny after the show! He was Buddy Holly in every sense. Tremendous singing and guitar playing! The entire cast, with musical, dancing, and acting was committed 100% to the characters, and drew the audience in. It moved me. I smiled, laughed, sang along, tapped my feet, shimmied my shoulders, and even teared up. Kudos to the director, Mark Standriff, who I also got the pleasure to meet and talk with following the show. Okay, let's talk the food and service- top notch! The bread and salads were fresh and plentiful! The bruschetta was like a party in your mouth, and the entrees were delicious! In our group we ordered the Grilled Flat Iron Steaks and the Vegetarian Zucchini Rollatini. Ample portions, fantastic textures, and flavors were on point! (See the attached pictures for the full effect). Our table service was flawless, and all the servers were accommodating and attentive! One of the best moments was at the start when our table was surprised by the announcement of us being there- it was my son's first time, and the spotlight shone on him. He has such a love for theatre and had even gotten the chance to be in an production with Buddy Holly himself, Danny, in the Wizard of Oz. The night meant the world to our son, and the talents of all were entertaining and inspiring. The visit as a whole was beautiful, and I highly recommend not just seeing this production, but also coming here for future ones! You'll feel like you traveled to a new destination, and you will have an experience you will not forget. Thank you, thank you to Roger Rocka's Dinner Theatre- you rock!

The seats were comfortable, though a quick lint roll wouldn't hurt! The snack bar offers classic concession-style food--think middle school play snacks--with the nice bonus of alcoholic beverages. Prices are reasonable, and proceeds support the local nonprofit that runs the theater. The cast was fantastic, and the performance was thoroughly enjoyable. I'm standing outside for THREE HOURS in weather over 100 degrees. Tana con was probably better than this. Someone literally passed out in front of me because we were out there in the heat for so long. THINGS ONLY GOT WORSE. When I FINALLY got in, the actual air was wet. The walls were wet, the floors were wet, all from sweat and NO air facilitated into the small venue. I got in the building in time to see the main act. Even HE had to cut his performance short because it was NOT safe for people. I saw TWO people being carried out because they passed out. There were CHILDREN at this show. What is wrong with this venue?? How could the firefighters seriously not call this show off? People LITERALLY were being carried out, and not the woah that's crazy cool story bro, like kids 15 years old passing out from dehydration and lack of air. How this venue was able to host this event, I will not understand. How this venue did not take proper steps to make sure people were enjoying their show safely, I do not understand. They were clearly more concerned with making money rather than the safety of CHILDREN. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY GOING TO ANY EVENT AT THIS VENUE WITHOUT THEM SERIOUSLY GETTING THEIR SH*T TOGETHER. You've ran your business for so long in Fresno you KNOW DAM WELL how hot it gets. This should not have happened.

They had a red or pink carpet you could take pictures on. Entering the theater was very clean. The show was good on the border of not being family friendly as they had suggestive outfits and jokes I didn't feel was suitable for kids. The props were good and the acting...some acting didn't look natural but then again it must be hard work or a lot of people would be in such field.
