Choosing apparent speed over actual speed was my first mistake. My second mistake was following the instructions to place my item in the bagging area. I placed it right there in the area marked BAGGING AREA, but could not ring in any other item because the machine did not agree that I had performed as directed. Along comes an employee who persuades the machine that I had performed as directed. But oops, I did it again: I scanned an item and put it in the bagging area. Back comes the nasty little employee with nasty remarks drenched in sarcasm, all about how she's here to help me but can't do that if I don't calm down. Calm down? Help me? I decided to go elsewhere, and on my way out, she shouted remarks about religion. There was no need to escalate this already unpleasant situation like that. The bananas were either brown or green. The produce department in general has been very dirty. It used to be so inviting. The checkout people are not polite at all and I bagged my own groceries and didn't even get a thank you. For the price of food here you would think they could do better. I am hoping management will take a look at what is going on in the Arlington store. If it does not improve I will just drive to Wilson Farms instead.

The sub arrived perfectly, fresh not soggy. The sub roll is super soft, yet somehow holds up to the vegetables and condiments! The bread is freshly baked and some of the best bread I've had from a sub spot! The sub was piled generously, yet sliced perfectly thin for a more "airy" bite. This is exactly how I like my sandwich. I am not a fan where it's like biting into a giant, thick slab of meat. Here, the meat is sliced thin and arranged in such a way that every bite is "airy". True sub fabs will know exactly what this means. The closest example to this is the chain, Jersey Mikes. The meats were sliced thin. Arranged perfectly on that pillow-soft sub roll.
