The beanstalk goes in and out of the shop, there's an adorable garden outside and a cute carousel inside. This shop has the usual Disney fare from stuffed animals to cute kids clothes to candies. My friend and I had a fantastic experience here. I bought a few things and she bought a few things - in particular she bought thick slipper socks because she was freezing! She accidently bought child size socks, opened them, tried them on and then thought doh! We went back to our same cashier who was so friendly, allowed us to exchange the slipper socks and helped us find the adult size. Ahhhh, gotta love the Disney service!

George, the owner, knows his stuff by heart and if you ask he will patiently explain the difference between the 4 different types of salted caramels he stocks or the detailed history of each sweet. Of course, it's slightly more expensive than what you'll get from the supermarket but the sweets at Le Bonbon au Palais are so much better you really can't compare them to Haribo's industrial crap! Not to mention you'll also be buying a little piece of French history and nostalgia along with the sugar...

The store sells chocolates by the kilo, packaged candies such as caramels, meringues, biscuits, cookies and etc....Also you cannot miss the large variety of macarons they have on display. The ladies working in there are very friendly and have samples ready for their customers. We saw a sign for 7€ for 100 grams of chocolate, which seems to be a good deal. I bought the deal, but had the lady who was helping me choose the chocolates for me. Too many choices and they all looked good! The nice thing is the pieces are small, and that's good because the milk chocolate ones are a little sweeter than I like. She asked me if I wanted it boxed as in a gift for someone or in a regular bag. It was only a gift for myself, so I just had it bagged. The chocolates were good. The 100 grams were just enough to snack on for a few days. The milks were definitely sweater than the darks, so if you prefer then less sweet, get their dark chocolate. The two young ladies in there who were working were very friendly and very eager to help. Next time we're in Reims, I'd come back here and try their other confections like their macarons and other candies!
