When you think deli sandwiches you probably don't think about Wyoming. However, on a recent trip to…read moreDevil's Tower in northeastern Wyoming I stumbled across a deli in the small town of Hulett that rivals some of the best sandwiches I have anywhere in America. It's called R Deli and next time you are in this part of the world it is must stop for a great deli sandwich stacked high with your favorite meat, cheese and toppings on fresh baked bread. Fresh ingredients, meats sliced on demand, and a wide variety of choices. I had the club, very good. Hubs had the subway, it was huge and he enjoyed it very much! Daughter said the Monroe (sliced chicken and greens) was good! They were busy, we waited a little bit, but it was worth it. Only criticism was it was warm inside (maybe ac woes); felt a little uncomfortable, but we took ours to go. If you want a good sandwich, this place will not disappoint.

Rosebud Foods, the only game in town for groceries…read more Tonight I went in and they happened to have packs of ground bison, which they don't often carry. Price marked: $7.99 a pack. Great! Got three. Paid by credit card. Was asked if I wanted a receipt. "No thanks" and walked out. Only when I looked at my credit card app on the phone after I got home (20 miles away) did I realize that I was charged $9.99 a pack. If it had been marked $9.99 at the meat counter, I wouldn't have bought it. Called the store. Learned that, no, they can't refund the credit card and do a new charge. No, they can't print a receipt for any transaction other than the most recent transaction, even if the purchase was made on a credit card. This is the third decade of the 21st century. Rosebud Foods is living somewhere in the last century. Out $6.00 because no one at Rosebud Foods has updated the price in the system to match the marked price at the meat counter. Pathetic.

Anyhow, one of the toilets wasn't working properly and the young lady working here went to work and fixed it right then and there! She was so nice about it, too. There was a good selection of snacks and goodies, but only a handful of gas pumps outside. We didn't mind waiting our turn, though. That's how it is when the proprietors seem to want to take good care of their customers! :)
