Rosebud Foods, the only game in town for groceries.
Tonight I went in and they happened to have packs of ground bison, which they don't often carry. Price marked: $7.99 a pack. Great!
Got three. Paid by credit card. Was asked if I wanted a receipt. "No thanks" and walked out.
Only when I looked at my credit card app on the phone after I got home (20 miles away) did I realize that I was charged $9.99 a pack. If it had been marked $9.99 at the meat counter, I wouldn't have bought it.
Called the store. Learned that, no, they can't refund the credit card and do a new charge. No, they can't print a receipt for any transaction other than the most recent transaction, even if the purchase was made on a credit card.
This is the third decade of the 21st century. Rosebud Foods is living somewhere in the last century. Out $6.00 because no one at Rosebud Foods has updated the price in the system to match the marked price at the meat counter. Pathetic. read more
