The food is not terrific, and tends to be a bit variable in quality (roast potatoes not roasted etc.) However while the staff are pleasant enough, I have to say that the actual hotel accommodation is not very good at all. When I stayed there I was given a room with only one working light. I then decided to take a shower, but the shower came apart in my hands. All in all, not good enough.

I have nothing to complaine about when using this hotel and will be using again next concert i see.

Food is well prepared, service is quick and friendly from a host of studenstsfrom the neighbouring estate doing their part-time work and prices are reasonable. The bar is more informal and cosy with a wood fire most days, including the summer. Choose a table away from the fire or you will be roasted. Look out for the specials on the blackboard, often excellent. Try the real ale - changes from week to week. Drinks are not cheap - over £3 for a Guinness. The Conservatory is a bit more formal but still relaxed. Bright and airy. Sometimes noisy if a big party is in, celebrating a birthday or something. Well worth a visit. Food available until about 9 pm but if you arrive before the chef leaves you will be served.

Sandwiches etc were all mixed up seating and tables were stuck too far apart and randomly about a big room. They didn't provide for the veggie mourners despite being told to. I didn't know I could be so expertly disappointed by a restaurant…read more We booked for a group of 12 people and got seated below a wonky tv showing football highlights. It took us on the wrong side of half an hour to get everyone a drink, and we were never asked if we wanted any more. In fact most the night you would have thought nobody worked there! When we ordered our food two staff started at either side of the table and got confused about 1/4 the way down. After the meal only 7/8 people had gotten their "food" and the the rest were brought out about 5 minutes apart from each other when we were done. One of our party didn't eat, they canceled their meal after waiting about 40 minutes. Even that was gotten wrong and the food was brought out anyway, and sent back. And while all of this was going on two guys stood at the bar trying to get a drink, almost the entire time. You had to be there to believe it, but don't be there. Think Fawlty Towers without the laughs....

The Hotel grounds are simply beautiful and there is a lovely area should you wish to eat out in the grounds. The Hotel itself is furnished to a very high standard. One of the owners was the master of ceremonies, and he made sure everyone knew who everyone was, he made the whole day plain sailing. The food was awesome, tasty and we have went back loads of times for meals in the hotel since then. We stayed over after the wedding and we had a gorgous room with a spa bath and a four poster bed, it was bliss. I would recommend this Hotel , the staff give a 100% personel service, and the food is second to none, you will not be dissapointed.

First timer for us but our friends and family have been numerous times. I believe it parts of a hotel. Restaurant alone is quite beautiful. Perfectly decorated with a nice modern vibe. Bar area fully stocked with whatever you desire. There's also a floral wall outside for all you IG needs. Service was good when we arrived. Reservation maybe required as most places seemed to always be booked and full. There was tables available when we arrived but it did filled up as dinner went. Menu wise, plenty to choose from. As well as the drink menu. Didn't go to crazy this time as I was only craving a salad. We did share some mussels between the table. Everyone meals did all look amazing. Service was good with our waitress. Everyone who was working all was quite friendly and attentive. Downfall, they don't know anything or heard of Yelp. Even though they have a page. We showed the waitress the Yelp page when we checked in for the 10 percent off food. She seemed ok with then until a manager came over to look at it. She didn't know or heard anything about it as well. Even showed her the page, asked her if this was the right location with address. She agreed. Then she went to ask someone else, assumably someone higher. They didn't offer the discount. Don't know what the deal was, but no one knew what it was all about. Why have a Yelp page for your business with reviews and an offer when check in and not honor it.
