Justin was very nice and personable. He had advice on hairstyling tips that no one else has offered me before. He did a great job of communicating what he was doing and why. If you're working towards a hairstyle, he's determined to get you where you want to be. The entire shop seems to truly care about their customers. I'd definitely recommend scheduling an appointment for their shop. Great quality of care and friendly staff all for a good price.

A friend suggested I try a barber shop, and good riddance to all the salons who charge me $50+ for a "women's haircut" when their men's cuts (read: short hair) are much cheaper. Other than Madison's uncanny ability to know exactly what I want with my vague descriptions, what I love about Constitution Plaza Barber Shop is they charge one flat rate for everyone. My biggest pet peeve is when I have to pay a haircut upcharge for no apparent reason other than identifying as female. It's really convenient now that my husband and I can get our hair cut at the same place, and Madison does as great and as consistent a job on his fine, curly hair as she does with mine. For safety reasons, for now they are requiring people wear masks at all times inside and to stay in your car while you're waiting. They have sanitizing procedures between each appt and hand sanitizer at the door. They do take walk-ins typically but I do recommend booking ahead, especially now. Also they're cash only so make sure you bring extra for tip!

Staff: very friendly and attentive, hearing stories about how long someone has been coming in. The shave: everyone does things a little different but at a 50 dollar shave before tip I didn't expect to be out of the chair in 18 minutes. I did ask not to go up on the cheeks do to sensitivity but down and sideways was fine and told him he could go up when under the chin. When I was done he said going sideways was the same as going up so he ONLY went down. I still felt stubble under the chin but like I said, everyone does things differently. Overall: the cashier and owner were great, when she heard I wasn't completely satisfied they offered me a gift card to come back to the owner for a shave but I wouldn't do that to his son who sits behind him. I found Elixio's on Yelp and my wife called to make an appointment. They was able to fit me in, especially seeing as though it was the holiday weekend. Its easy to find, right across from Walgreens. There's street parking as well as parking in the rear. Upon my wife and I entering...I can't lie...nothing short of amazing...no lie. Your greeted by one of the many barbers..everyone is friendly!
