Great service, good food. Humble but clean interior. TV's on site, some cool signs on the walls. (The restaurant/bar was cold, as if the heat could not keep up with the low outside temperature.)

A great lunch break and stop after surviving the Baltimore traffic. The Broad Axe was great decor and even better service. All smiles and very friendly. The crab cake is house made and so are the O Bays flavored chips. Spinach salad with chicken was also good. Our meals were so fresh we thought they were fresh picked out of the garden or the water. Our beers were Maryland beers, Jack's Abby from Farmington a German Pilsner and Idioms It's the Berry a Fruited Sour. Dessert was Cider Boys Blue Raspberry from our home state, Steven's Point Wis.

Food was delish. Pleasantly surprised that the catfish nuggets were so good! The fries came out lukewarm. The waiter sent them back. The new batch came out very warm, not hot but they were tasty. My shrimp nachos were unassuming but oh so good. Loved the tiny diced mangoes in it. It was just missing a good pic de gallon or spice. No lime on the side either. The kettle chips with old bay scrumptious. A little on the to ch let side which made them hard to chew for me. My son enjoyed his hot wings.

Service was great we were greeted within 3 minutes of sitting down and he checked on us periodically kept our drinks full. Live music down to earth crowd and delicious food! We had the cheesesteak, western burger, crab nachos, chocolate peanut butter pie and New York cheesecake. We will definitely stop in next time we're driving through.

How far is this from The Maryland Theater?

Hi Jennifer! It’s only two blocks away! A few minute walk. I’d recommend parking in the garage on North Potomac Street which is halfway between the theatre and restaurant.

I am moving to Maryland, do you have a line up of live music events? What kinds of music do you guys have?

They have a good range of musical acts occasionally. Bluegrass, Blues, rock, indie bands, etc. Thursday is jazz night and it is on point. Trent Renshaw is usually on drums and there's a bunch of really talented local musicians that show up. It's a… Read more

Are they still open? Looked very run down like the rest of the storefronts in the area/looked very closed.

Yes very open! Don't let the outside fool you ! Hope to see you sometime !

Exploding with taste from the finely chopped jalapeño and pineapple, the shrimp covered in old bay, and the perfect amount of cheese.

Old School Flair!…read more The Prohibition Hub brings the look and feel of an underground speakeasy to a modern-day level. Pretty slick-looking rustic bar greet you when you walk in. Not huge, but not a hole-in-the-wall either. The back wall informing customers of the bottles that they have behind the bar as well as the food offerings. Fantastic selection of bourbon for all brown liquor enthusiasts. Really, just about something for everyone, and more. Then, there's the aspect That You Don't See as much anymore. The cigar bar offering. A great selection of stogies to light ones fire for a relaxing drink and a slow smoke. But where to smoke this fine crafted cigar? Out on the smoking patio, but of course. Located just outside the bar, this intimate rooftop smoking section invites you just to sit and chill and relax with a few friends. Individual tables are integrated with cushioned seating areas that surround small fire pit tables. Offering a quiet warm place to relax and enjoy a very effortless night with Friends. Would I go back? Definitely. This was a favorite with a group of us that came out here after dinner one night. Great staff, good time was had by all and absolutely plan on visiting again.

The warehouse music venue is still in the back. This was the first time we've ordered food and it was excellent. My husband had the loaded nachos. I had the Cubano sandwich. My sandwich was outstanding. The ground mustard was so good and made the sandwich! They have plenty of HD tvs and they were playing the Touch Tunes jukebox loud enough that you could hear the music and sing along. The service was ok - the place wasn't packed (middle of the day on a Saturday) and we had to wait longer than usual for our food. But it wasn't terrible. Bottom line - we'll be back!

It took him about a minute to get off the phone and then he turned around never greeted us nor apologized for the delay. Where is the customer service???? Has no one told him that in person customers supercedes phone customers???? I can't speak for the back where the lounge is but up front needs so serious adjustments. I would never patronize the lounge due to the lack of customer service up front.
