I came here for an event during the day. The venue will probably be a lot more charming at night, but in the daylight it's still pretty good and I can easily imagine a glamorous transformation. The food station was also beautifully set up. As others said, the entrance through the hotel "food court" (their word) is a bit sketchy. There is even a Chinese massage place in there where you can look in and see rows of chairs. My only complain with the venue during the day is that the stage is set up by the windows, and the outdoor light made it impossible to see anything on the projector screen, even with the curtains drawn and the lights off. Not the best if you are doing seminars but for other types of events it should be a good choice. Parking can be validated for $10. read more

Restroom is located outside by the patio, a few high top tables/chairs & couches outside, catering food service inside for our event. The place is small and our event was overly crowded, it was hard to navigate through. Service was courteous. Valet parking through the Double Tree Hotel. It's located on the right side of the Double Tree Hotel, at the end of a busy rundown strip mall that could surely use a facelift. So I figure it must be a bargain to rent here instead of the newer and happening Brickell area nearby. read more

My husband and I highly recommend Briza on the Bay for your wedding! We are a military family living about 10 hours away and Nelly, Harry, and the whole Briza Team were absolutely so easy to work with. Nelly and Harry are the best coordinators and they will make your wedding day feel at ease. Myself, my husband, and all of our guests felt that they were so sweet, efficient, and personable. The guests loved the food, the beautiful venue along the water, and the service. The location of this venue is perfect. It is right along the beautiful marina, walking distance to various hotels and Trinity Cathedral (where we had our religious ceremony), and also located near a hotel mall where all of our out of state guests were able to eat, drink, get their nails/hair done, and hang out. What do you do if you're suddenly confronted with having to host a party for four or five hundred guests? One solution is Briza on the Bay located within the Double Tree by Hilton Grand Hotel Biscayne Bay, Miami, which they tout as being the "Most Spectacular Venue in Miami." Briza is strictly a private function venue located toward the rear of the hotel facing Sea Isle Marina and the Biscayne waterfront. Making arrangements with them is rather easy. Just let them know what it is for and how many guests. Then, they'll go through varying lists of suggestions as to décor, liquor, foods and the like, all of which they will handle in accordance your wishes and your budget. I ended up here with 450 others and thought they did a rather good job of everything providing a most pleasant staff of servers, arrangements for complimentary valet parking, set up of two well-staffed bars along with flowers, party hors d'oeuvres and the like. Though the actual setting and interior of Briza is very nice and the waterfront view pleasant some of the other surroundings aren't. Next to the hotel is a rather seedy looking private parking lot, and though you can get tickets from the hotel valet to park there, it also serves as a check-in private metered lot easily mistaken for being public parking. I know a couple pulled in, parked and used their handicap sticker only to return to find their vehicle wheels booted. So you have to be careful if parking there. Also the areas going through the hotel are indeed in need of some serious sprucing up as are some of the people you'll see there; no doubt a number of whom are vagrants from the nearby abandoned looking filthy lawn and waterfront areas of the next door Women's Club. read more

My daughter went to this venue for a Senior Brunch today. She expressed how disappointing not just her most of the kids that attended the event. The glasses, eating utensils, plates were very dirty and the food that was served tasted horrible. The tickets were $85 per person and to come there and have to eat food that's not fit for a human is just not acceptable. How can you even still be in business. I would suggest management get involved as quickly as possible and get these type of issues addressed read more

Came here for a baby shower. Views are lovely, the staff was super attentive, the bartender especially was one of my favorites and she makes a mean old fashioned. I was also surprised about how tasty the food was! The hall my friend chose was really beautiful. The only thing I wasn't feeling was the food court walk over to the venue. Attended a rehearsal dinner here. Beautiful venue right on the water with marina views near downtown Miami. Great bartender service. Excellent food with impressive crispy skin on the chicken. We couldn't be happier in our selection of Briza on the Bay as our wedding venue. While planning our destination wedding in Miami we knew we didn't want the typical hotel ballroom, we wanted a modern venue with a Miami feel and Briza was just that. We were able to have our ceremony at Trinity Cathedral conveniently located next door followed by our cocktail hour outside on the Briza on the Bay marina and our reception inside. Our coordinator at Briza, Joseph Castaneda, was above and beyond amazing. Joseph was always available to answer questions and offer suggestions. From start to finish Joseph made sure everything was perfect for us. One thing we especially loved about Briza was how many custom requests and changes they let us make regarding our décor setup, time line and menu. Many venues are quite strict and don't allow many changes at all beyond the standard offerings. With Briza we were able to add an additional "pasta course" to our reception dinner, layout our exact floor plan and furniture setup, bring in an outside vendor for a mini dessert station, and extend our party to 2am. My daughter had her wedding at Briza on the Bay this past Saturday. We set our date a year in advance and I have to say the entire experience was amazing from beginning to end. Jeannine was our coordinator and she was absolutely my savior. She always answered my crazy questions, put my mind at ease, and without her the wedding would not have been as fantastic as it was. The dock outside the venue made for a perfect first look location and the view of the bay was a bonus. The food was amazing, all of my guest raved about the hors d oeuvres and dinner. The venue itself was everything we were looking for. My florist, Jackie at Petal Cartel, did an amazing job in transforming this venue into a beautiful wedding paradise. Went here for a holiday party the other day. The place was beautiful and classy. First time visiting the venue. Was very impressed with the location. The setting is overlooking the bay which adds to the charm and ambiance of the place. The wait staff was very attentive and professional. The food was also very good. This is a nice venue, they decorate very pretty and accordingly. You also have the bay right in front with a nice view and also space for the smokers in the party. However, I'm giving t 3 stars because the food was just ok. But I have to say I'm not sure if the food I had was theirs or of it was catered by a private company. read more

Worked with Gerry and got an amazing package deal for our wedding. This was the first place we went to, then visited about 5 other venues. Honestly from our first visit we knew we needed to look no further, but did just to look at other options. Briza on the Bay was unbeatable and easily one of the nicest venues. We worked with Gerry for the deals and contract and with Hailey for coordination. We booked 11 months in advance as we knew if we waited any later the dates we wanted wouldn't be a viable. From the beginning to the end everything went great. All of our guest had nothing but great things to say from the decor, to the lighting, and of course the beautiful water and city view. They have two bars which is another plus. The food was amazing! The hors d'oeuvres were fantastic. I held a company event here and let me say the location, the food, and the venue are perfection. The staff that worked the event were superb. The management was odd. To say the least. Some people just do not have a filter I suppose but I used to be an event planner and some of the remarks they would go out of their way to make to me were very unprofessional for this line of work. Before and during the event I definitely felt as if I needed to be on top of my game because I felt as if the management was not. Reading the other reviews this seems to be a common thing. It is unfortunate as the fix should be relatively easy. NO ONE wants to feel as if they are all alone on their big day no matter what the event. It can be stressful to feel as if they will not remember the small details, and they do not. It is the unease that you feel when they are reconfirming minor details hours before the event as if it was never discussed however, it was just simply the fact they did not take note of the decision or have the information on hand. If anyone needs me to manage an event for the let me know. :0) This was an easy 5 star review ruined by mismanagement and poor event planning/handling/hosting skills. Drink up. read more

Just as it stands now, I can't give them a rating based on my experience of having an event there. However, I've submitted a request for a quote/proposal and have yet to receive any information. I called them and was told 3 times today that their internet service was down and that it was back up and I will receive a follow up email in about 5 minutes. Neither time did I receive an email or even a call. If this is how they conduct service, I'm unsure if I'll even consider them. read more

In mid December (2016) I had the pleasure to work with the helpful staff of Briza to organize an event for our organization at their location by Bay Side. The service was simply impeccable and the set up crew did a phenomenal job. We felt very welcomed. The food was praised in the highest tones by my guests - at this point I think a great compliment to their chef and his crew is appropriate. They were amazing!! Carlos was the manager in charge that night, and working with him was a breeze. He is very pro-active and fast and he made my coordination at the event unbelievably simple. We considered this venue for our wedding. The sales staff was nice enough while we were there, but promised to send us a proposal and then never did. (We emailed and called a few times to follow up, then realized we shouldn't have to work so hard to pay people thousands of dollars.). Whatever their reasoning, this is so unprofessional. The venue is inside a Doubletree hotel, and the lobby is nice, but you have to walk through an area that feels like a train station or airport to get to Briza. The views from Briza are beautiful, and the space itself is a great blank canvas. The valet at the Doubletree is THE WORST. Both times we visited, we waited more than 20 minutes for our car. Once, we waited 45 minutes and were told, "It will be the next one" every ten minutes. We were given no explanation and no apology. I wouldn't want to experience such miserable customer service while planning a wedding, nor would I want my guests to wait for so long for their cars in such a sketchy part of town. read more

My brothers wedding was here on Sunday July 3rd and there were a couple of hits and misses that unfortunately couldn't go unnoticed. I work in the industry so I understand the challenges of a large event. The ceremony was inside the venue, and there were some faux walls setup so the staff could set up for dinner on the other side. We could hear them the whole time throughout the ceremony. Everything else after that was fine, however there was one bartender named Carlos who started off fine with me. He was taking my orders and was very pleasant and attentive. I stuck to ordering just from him and would visit the bar with my wedding date. At about 11pm we went up for about our 4th drink and his whole demeanor changed and he told me he was cutting me off. I asked him why and he said, "i made the decision because im the bartender". I have never in my life been spoken to that way by a bartender, and imagine my embarrassment in front of my date and as the brother of the groom who paid for the wedding. I felt he just personally didn't like me, because my date went back three times and ordered 2 drinks at a time and he had no issue with her. I hope he gets the training he needs on how to talk to customers. read more

Having my wedding at Briza on the Bay was the best decision I could have made. After looking at Briza I did not have to look anywhere else. The venue is so versatile that they can really capture whatever vision you are looking for. The windows from the ceiling to the floor allow for a gorgeous view with great natural lighting. Our ceremony was inside, cocktail hour outside, and reception inside. They flipped the room during the cocktail hour so efficiently and beautifully. Everyone was amazed. We got to work with Jeannine to put together our wedding! Jeannine is so amazing! I don't have enough words to describe how great she truly is. She was kind and really wanted to ensure that we were happy with every decision we were making. She was always quick in responding and her calm demeanor allows you to stay calm. I cannot thank her enough for everything she did for us! Now the food...the food was fantastic! Everyone complimented us on how delicious the food was! Briza on the Bay was the only venue that we looked at. After a walkthrough we knew this is where we wanted to get married! We didn't want the typical ballroom with carpet and no windows. The view is DIE TO FOR! Briza is a modern venue with hard wood floors and floor to ceiling windows overlooking Biscayne Bay. It has that WOW factor and Miami feel to it! It's truly a stunning venue. The space had everything that we were looking for uplighting with state of the art sound and lighting. We had our cocktail hour on the patio at sunset and ceremony on the marina. It was magical, the weather was perfect! One of the most important aspects of a Jewish wedding is the FOOD. The food at Briza On The Bay is DELICIOUS, outstanding! Our guests were raving about how amazing the salmon and filet mignon was. Joseph and the owner Boaz went above and beyond to make us happy. The service was exceptional; the staff was very attentive and went above and beyond to make sure that my husband and I and our guests were taken care of. We had complimentary valet parking at the Women's club for our guests so parking at the Doubletree Hilton as one reviewer commented was not an issue. I had my dream wedding at Briza.
