We sat at the bar and had dinner. Raoul was friendly and attentive. We had the guacamole, a trio of tacos and the ceviche. The drinks were delicious too! I love that they had mocktail options. The fun surprise was learning they have a speak easy Clandestino - make sure to take a peek. It's first come, first served.

The "speakeasy" at the back of the restaurant was adorable!! I loved the decor and the service was great. We had a group of 4 walked right in on a Thursday night. Cozy seating and dark ambiance. The menu has plenty of options. We each ordered a drink and the presentation did not disappoint. The Cantarito was my favorite. The drink was prepared table side as well as a few others.

Went with a friend to Brix last weekend before a show at the Uptown. First impression was the space was really pretty and very IG worthy. There was even a selfie backdrop. I had reservations for 6:30 and we were seated immediately (it was before things started to fill up). We decided to start with cocktails. She got the spicy margarita and I got the guava-rita, and we ordered some chips and guac. Everything came out pretty quickly and the chips and guac were good. Not sure rave worthy but still very tasty. I got the birria plate and she got the birria burrito. Again everything came out quickly since I'd put in a note about being on a schedule. Food was delicious and really generous portions. I'd love to go back and try more things!

Flavorful Food, Attentive Service, Urban Vibe We started with the Nachos ( with Carnitas ) and Calamari. We were hungry, but be cautious, portions are Very Sharable! Chips are more crunchy versus fluffy ( which is the only way they can support all the toppings! We all ordered from Birria. The burrito is flavor driven and the beef is tender and cheese melty ( it's meat and cheese in a delicious tortilla ). It comes with fries that kept getting sharked by my friends ( the fries are awesome ). The Birria & Noodles is just that, good but basic. QuesaBirria Tacos are Fire! For dessert we got the Churro Cart and the Brownie. Next time we are just going to get 2 Churro Carts ( brownie was delecious, but the churros are incredible ) Their cocktail menu is unique and crafted to compliment the food. Our server was attentive and drinks were always 1/2 full or more. My favorite surprise was the Mona Lisa changing portrait above the bar. That gurl crazy! The bathrooms reek of smoke from the tobacco shop next door. It's a necessary issue, so easily forgiven

Outstanding modern Mexican food in Westport! We stopped by Brix with a group of friends for dinner and were immediately struck by the creative and atmospheric decor and friendly service. We ordered the: chips & salsa, birria-dilla, shrimp tacos, espresso martini, sangria roja and margarita flight. Everything tasted amazing - fresh ingredients and complex, interesting flavors. Our birria was perfectly tender and juicy and the shrimp tacos were a standout. I highly recommend visiting Brix's special speakeasy with themed drinks if you have time after dinner!

I've been seeing this restaurant on social media and have been wanting to check out their food. Arrived here on a Friday night for an early dinner. This is a small quaint little restaurant in the Westport area. Upon entering the building there was a distinct smell. It turns out they are next door adjacent to a cigar bar. That's a minus point. I'm not too fond of the smell of smoke or cigar. They play Latin music in the background softly. The restaurant is decorated with Latin deco. Two seat table seating with lamp and vase of flower. Quite romantic. They serve fun cocktails that are a little pricey. A little weak in taste compared to other places. They also have flight of shots which was quite expensive. Food there was really good. I ordered their Birria taco which is the reason why I wanted to go there. Overall, service was great and staffs were very friendly.

My server was super friendly and very attentive! The food was amazing! The guac and mild salsa were excellent. I got the burrito ahogado with carnitas. Hands down the best flavored carnitas I have ever had. And I got the churro truck for dessert, and just wow.

We had a great experience here, the service was great and everything came out quickly. Our drinks were flavorful and they have lots of great food options. Great place to come with friends or for a date night.

My friend and I came here for an early dinner. We had the restaurant to ourselves which was nice. People started arriving when we were about ready to leave. I noticed right when I walked in how cute this place is. Loved the flowers, the greenery and the artwork. This is a small place so you probably would need reservations unless you come at an off time like we did. We came here especially for the birria. I've been wanting to try it for so long now. I ordered the Classico Jalisco which is birria with consommé. It comes with cilantro, onions, and salsa on the side. Also comes with corn tortillas. I loved it! The meat was so tender, and the consommé was very flavorful. I also ordered guacamole al pobre which came first. It was probably some of the best guacamole I've ever had. So fresh! Generous serving. The server said they just made it and make it fresh everyday. I just about licked the plate. I was very full but wanted to take home a dessert. Ordered the churros. Stuffed with cream cheese. It came with strawberry, chocolate, and caramel sauce. Loved it! I will definitely be coming back when I'm in the area.

Everything about Brix is top tier! It's a cute little unassuming space in Westport. The decor is made for taking pix! We were warmly greeted by Daniel, who also made our drinks! Alfredo, our waiter, was knowledgeable about the menu and attentive! He left us in the very capable hands of Diana! She closed the night with the cutest complementary birthday treat! Hats off to the chefs, Alberto and Leo! Great experience, fantastic food and an awesome atmosphere!

I loved visiting Brix. I got the chilaquiles verdes, the golden colada drink and dragon kiss. I might be bias, but chilaquiles were the best I've had here in KC. If you are looking for a place with great cocktails, amazing food and the perfect ambiance, highly recommend visiting!

This place has been on my list to try for a while. We finally came for Restaurant week and it did not disappoint. We got the quesabirria tacos meal & the Lomo Saltado (steak dish). Both were fantastic and filled with flavors. Both the restaurant meals came with apps (guac & cheese dip) and desserts (cheesecake & churros) . We also ordered drinks, which were great. The place itself is cute & cozy. The minor critiques, which is why I gave it 4 stars. The tacos did not have that nice sear that quesabirra tacos normally have. The steak dish (Lomo Saltado) was fantastic it just didn't have much steak as expected. Overall I would recommend Brix a try. We will definitely be back!

We checked out this new spot the other day and wow was I blown away by all the amazing food options! We ordered everything our waiter suggested. We started with the shrimp and potatoes which absolutely melted in my mouth. Next we ordered the Lomo Saltado which was ribeye steak with seared veggies and baked potatoes, red onions, and Brix sauce mix. We also split the Birria-dilla that came with a homemade salsa roja. And lastly we tried the stuffed churros for dessert! Everything was delicious and I will be back to check out their speakeasy that is hidden in the back of the restaurant.

Fantastic dinner!…read more Amazing food! I had Mole Enchilada with rice, and ordered seasonal vegetables as side. Our table also had table side guacamole and salsa and chips. That mole was amazing! I'll be back - the mole and guac makes my mouth water thinking about it. The Mole Enchilada with chicken was so delicious - deep flavor with juicy shredded chicken. The seasonal vegetables included broccolini, carrots, and asparagus - slightly crunchy, just the way I liked them cooked! I also had a La Chimosa cocktail - c a m a r e n a tequila blanco, l i m e, a g a v e, g r a p e f r u i t soda, passion fruit - pretty good. I enjoyed the ambiance - lots of beautiful art on the walls, subtle lighting, green plants, tasteful decorations, table lines, and relaxed atmosphere. We were there on a Monday night - it wasn't busy. It was a great place to go for our business group of five. Servers were friendly, especially the woman at the front as you entered. We had a nice chat while I waited for the rest of our table to arrive. They validated parking in the garage next door - so keep that in mind if street parking is unavailable. Pricing was what I would expect for this nice location. It was $$ to $$$ depending on what you ordered. I would definitely go back and recommend!

I just took a swing at it, picked up a menu, and stood there. It took a while for somebody to acknowledge that I was there. The person who took my order was super involved, which is cool, but they needed some help, and the person who came by to help them seemed to be rather impatient, so that was one of the first things I noticed. They do bring your food out in a reasonable amount of time, delivered to your table. You have a number that attaches to a metal wand that they give to you. So the water station is set up in the back, you get your own water, but they were out of cups. They had a really cool aesthetic to it, with like the garage door where you can see all the downtown. The only problem was that the sun went down, and it started to get rather cold. Nobody ever closed the door, but I ordered the Asada fries. 3/5 heavy on the seasoning, but not so much on the flavor, it came across. It's kind of salty. I thought it would be different than what it was. The portion size was fine, and the green sauce that they offer you on the side really makes it better. Also ordered the CHORI queso dip lied on the chorizo for the portion size. The flavor was also a three out of five. The chip that they give you with it has a nice, good texture and reasonable seasoning. My wife had the mushroom Tinga tacos. She gave him four out of five. She really enjoyed them. The atmosphere is cool. The weights staff are really cool. I'd consider coming back on a Thursday. They have this cool thing that you can try new and upcoming dishes, and then they also have brunch, so I'm thinking about giving them a second shot. If you've never been, you should come and see what your opinion is, but really cool aesthetics and great views.

Food: The food was good and had flavor, the presentation and portions were not bad. The starters were small so be sure to order multiples for larger groups. The fresh oysters were really good, the paella was really good and large in portion size great table shareable or as a entree. The cheese board had a really good variety of cheeses and crackers with some fruit. That was a nice little gem on the menu. They do serve alcohol but could be a little more consistency on the pours. Two of the same drinks tasted completely different and they do have a wine section. Service: The staff was nice and quickly provided seating for our large group of 10 people. Our waiter was great! He took orders checked on us and provided some really good feedback on menu items when asked. Thank you, Atmosphere: I love the decor! It was rustic with hand pai ted murals and gave a artistic vibe to our experience. However, I was not a fan of the metal tables, it felt to industrial and the tables were off balance as well. The size of the table were also interacting as they seemed really skinny and most likely ment for smaller groups like 2 people. The ceiling at La Bodega was the best part of the decor. It was such a great twist on smearing colors together. Price: Coming from Los Anegeles I thought the prices were right on targetand fit with the portion sizes. Location: It's located in Kansas City Mousori. Parking: We ubered to the restaurant but parking did look to be tight on the street side not sure if they have another lot in the back.
