I contacted Sunny's Transportation (because of very positive reviews), talked to Sunny, and he set the whole thing up for me very easily. The van picked the first group up from the airport on time. It was prepared with a car seat for my granddaughter, as I requested. We had a very comfortable ride to the hotel with Sunny, who was friendly, professional, and accommodating. The flight for the second group was delayed by a couple of hours. That wasn't a problem for the pickup, because Sunny's checks on flights and arrives at the airport at the appropriate time. That van was set up correctly with booster seats and a car seat as I requested. It was smooth sailing with Sunny's Transportation. I couldn't have been happier with the service and highly recommend them!

But a few weeks ago we reserved a ride to the airport, and after confirming the night before, we were ghosted the morning of. He was a no show and no response the morning of at 5 am as we scrambled to get an Uber at 5:30 and had to grab our car seat last minute to lug around Asia for three weeks. To this day I never received response. Luckily we planned to arrive 2.5 hours early (for extra time due to baby milk) but ended up being 2 hours early and barely got through screening in time to board.

I booked Orange Coast overnight for a celebrity client who had several stops. Initial booking…read moreprocess was smooth, but the night of the service was a disaster. This is what our celebrity client's team reported: - Upon pickup, the car was messy with trash inside and 3 unlatched children's car seats thrown across the 2nd row - The driver notified our talent that it was their first time driving and they "got the job from a friend." When one of my team members entered the car after meeting up with the client these were her firsthand observations: - Malfunctioning sliding door and driver failed to exit the vehicle immediately to open it. - Empty water bottles on the floor causing a fall hazard; my co-worker slipped on one when entering the vehicle. - Empty cans in the back seat pockets. - Children's car seats discarded in 2nd row (no one in our party had children and car seats were NOT requested for this ride). - A bad odor in the car. - They were dropped off at the wrong location even though the driver was notified 3x of the drop-off location. Since it was the airport and we were on a tight timeline, our celebrity client had to walk for approx 10 minutes to the actual drop-off location. - When we tried to exit the vehicle the door got jammed and left us stuck inside until our celebrity client and the driver were able to force it open. - We asked the driver to please be ready at the pickup location by a certain time and we still had to wait 5 minutes outside for him in an unsafe location to arrive. I want to give credit to Greg -- who I called as soon as I was informed of the horrible first leg of the trip (around midnight, since it was an overnight service). He was mortified and apologetic and did everything he could to rectify the situation, but since it was an overnight service he couldn't get us a new driver or car. He did contact our driver to clean up the car and get rid of the car seats, and to my knowledge this did happen. I totally understand the constraints he was under and appreciate his efforts. A few days later, I reached out to the representative who had been handling our booking. I outlined everything I mentioned in this review and quite frankly asked for a refund of some kind, since our client was left feeling unsafe and uncomfortable, the timeline of our work day was affected, and the entire situation reflected extremely poorly on myself and our organization. The service was absolutely unacceptable and caused multiple safety issues throughout the evening. However, I received no response from our representative. I really never leave bad reviews unless it's a matter of safety but I do feel like I have to make this review. I would never recommend this car service to anyone based on the experience our celebrity client and his team had.

Truly, it looks deserted when you enter, almost as if you've stepped back in time to see what an old train station looks like. I am responsible for a lady who has no other family to help with transport, medical appointments,…read moreetc. I live in San Diego County. My lady lives at an assisted living facility in Orange where she moved to from Huntington Beach. We have approximately 1 dozen doctors and specialists throughout Orange County. We first started booking with WellNET about a year ago when we managed to get a prescription for medical transport - my lady is wheelchair bound. I remember having one tiny hiccup with the first scheduling, but it was caught in advance when I called to confirm a few days prior. Throughout this last year, we have been treated with patience, kindness, care and empathy by every team member at WellNET. Matthew Sprowls is a gentle giant of a man - gracefully managing a lady who is notoriously cantankerous! I really do not know how he does it. It is important to bear in mind that medical transport companies are not taxi companies. You must be prepared to leave earlier or later than you might prefer because there is another family with another loved one needing attention and time and perhaps having a doctor's appointment finish earlier or much later than expected. How in the world does someone expect a service like this to provide exact pickup and drop off times when the very nature of the service involves being at the mercy of the doctors' schedules and wait times? And, does Orange County traffic even need to be mentioned? My best advice for timing your loved one's transportation (I feel experienced enough to offer this!) is to schedule your arrival at the doctor's office at least 30 minutes prior to your appointment time. WellNET knows most destinations and can calculate how long it will take to get there. They will give you a pick-up time based upon your request AND any other transport appointments they have in the same time frame. Be prepared to wait after your appointment for as long as an hour before pickup. It is usually only a few minutes. Other people are also in need of transport, and timing for their appointments to finish is a wildcard. Use their email and request form to make your transport requests. I have found this to be absolutely painless and Ruth is a scheduling goddess! Try not to tell the drivers how to do their job...they do this all day and have probably heard every possible criticism and piece of advice...relax and know they know what to do. Even though Medi-Cal coverage changed and is using a different transport company now, the only one I trust to be there when needed, to really care about us and to take a huge source of stress off my shoulders, is WellNET. We pay out-of-pocket for their services, we are billed fairly and reasonably, and we could not be more pleased. As far as the new Medi-Cal provider, we tried once in January to book with them and were told that we needed to let them know 2-4 weeks in advance and even then they could not guarantee transport.
