I used DT Rydez transportation services for the first time on Black Friday when I had to get a ride to John Wayne Airport to catch a flight from Orange County to San Antonio, Texas :) ! I wasn't sure how far in advance I had to book a ride. So I called David 2 weeks prior to my flight date, and he promptly arranged a ride for me to the airport. He was right on time, and he drove a car (I think it was an SUV?) so I could take my 2 huge luggage bags. It was such a comfortable ride to the airport, and he was such a quirky and lively driver to have a great conversation with :) ! When I was about to return back from El Paso to Orange County (since I had visited both San Antonio and El Paso in November), I called David again. Because he already was scheduled to drive another customer to Los Angeles, he coordinated my ride pickup with one of his other drivers, Charles. David texted me Charles' cell # and also a description of the make/model and license number of Charles' car so I would know who to be expecting and which vehicle I should watch out for. Just like David, Charles was such a pleasant driver who was great to have a conversation with :) ! He also gave clear instructions regarding how to meet him once I picked up my luggage from the baggage claim area. DT Rydez gives very reasonable pricing for its ride services :) ! For sure, I will definitely use their services again ! And I would highly recommend anyone who needs a ride to or from the airport, or around town, to ride with them :) ! This is an update: David does not treat his loyal existing customers well. One time he was supposed to pick me up from LA and bring me to OC in the late afternoon. After waiting 15 minutes I called him only to find out that he had not left OC yet. I had to wait another 45 minutes for him to get there. In addition, at the last minute he said to me that he will no longer allow my "service dog" into his car. My dog was a well-behaved 15-year-old small cavalier-cocker mix. He said the only way he would let him inside the car was if I put him in a cage/carrier. I was very upset about this last minute change. Once you're in his car he speaks about his personal life for the entire duration of the ride. David believes the world rotates only around him and for him. No one else has any rights! His wife, who joined him in 2017-2018 in the business, however, is a gem. she is very professional and polite. To summarize, David only thinks of himself and what benefits him and once you become a regular client he shows his true self which is unkind and selfish. This is the first time I have used DT Taxi Service - so I was somewhat nervous because some of my past taxi experiences have been very stressful (e.g., the taxi driver does not appear at the designated time despite an advance reservation). With DT Taxi, I did not have any chaotic problems. Indeed, I was very happy with the entire experience. When I called DT Taxi to reserve a taxi for a weekday pick-up, I was personally greeted by the owner, "Dave" (and not by a switchboard or a voice-recorded message). Dave promptly scheduled my taxi service and informed me that my driver would contact me about 10 minutes before my pick-up time. On the designated date, the driver ("Rick") arrived right on time. Rick was courteous, friendly, respectful and communicative. The car was comfortable, clean, safe, and provided plenty of space. As promised, Rick delivered me to my destination on time, and without any problems. Excellent, and I mean EXCELLENT communications from reserving the ride to end of trip. On time, intelligent, great group of guys. The ride (vehicle) itself was outstanding. A 200 thous mile vehicle but looked like new, extremely clean, rode like new and very comfortable. With an extensive background in corporate management, where business was weighted mostly by communications, service and support over and above price, it's great to say these guys are a credit to free enterprise, the O.C. business community! One thing driver Rick commented on that I found interesting was when he stated "America business is based on customer service (me: includes 'communications'), quality and efficiency. People demand that. Not only do they demand it, but they deserve it"... SOLD! While I'm very hesitant to strongly endorse any product or service these days, this is one service I feel comfortable highly recommending. Today my mother took Amtrak to Fullerton. She had a collapsible wheelchair with her. After seeing reviews here I had scheduled DT to pick her up. Dave was at the station waiting well in advance of her arrival. Unfortunately, when she asked the conductor where to find the taxis he dismissively pointed her in the wrong direction.
