Their team did all the work and coordinated with the Lender and the Closing Agent. I really appreciated that Tara and Dana provided explanations for all of the documents we had to upload. We uploaded them to Rob's site and his team managed the upload to the Lender. The Lender's site was confusing and they were asking for quite a few things that Rob's people just took care of for us. I'm not 100% sure with Sammamish but it seems they are just an intermediary and do not have close understanding of the underwriting process. Trevor was unreachable by phone and would e-mail me back or call back a day later. Priscilla seemed to be off or have a vacation notification on every time I tried to email her. Without warning us, Trevor went on paternity leave the week of closing, and Priscilla left on vacation. We were left with their supervisor who was 100% more competent, but extremely busy. Right before closing, Trevor also told me that we either needed to buy down more interest and pay them more money, which didn't make sense as we bought a house that was 1/2 our purchasing power. Our realtor emailed and called them (we had given consent) without any response and noted they were one of the worst and most nerve wracking groups she had dealt with. We had no idea if we would close on time, even the day of closing. We were living in an AirBnB and not sure whether we would be homeless the next day or if we should book a hotel. When I spoke with Stacey their supervisor about this the day before closing, she said "this isn't even as close as we come sometimes, don't worry!" which made me worry even more. I just found out that they immediately transferred our loan to another bank a month after closing. They have a ton more reviews than other servicers and I would be extremely concerned some of them are fake.

Their system kept generating invalid quotes, and it took them 3 tries to actually create and send a valid one. In the end, I didn't like the flashy format of their quotes compared to the regular, easy to read documents from other lenders. Their rate was good, but still not quite as good as a couple of others. I probably could have negotiated with them a bit, but after the quote issues, I decided to go a different direction. I understand technology issues can sometimes occur, and I would have considered them just another possible lender for the future. The reason for my review, though, is I can't get them to leave me alone. It has now been 8 months since I purchased my home and I am still getting junk mail, annoying emails, and even the occasional call from these guys. Their emails have no option to unsubscribe, either. I don't plan on buying another home soon, but even if I was, I wouldn't even request a quote from Dolan again just because of their overly aggressive marketing tactics. I cannot recommend her enough to my friends that are purchasing homes; shes responsive, dedicated, thorough, organized and communicative. We worked with another mortgage company for 6 months before I decided to explore another option. Just over a year ago my husband started his own business and the other company kept telling us we would not qualify on our own so we would need a co-borrower. So we kept putting it off, not to mention we were told we would only get approved for 250k with over 15% down (because he ran the numbers and that was "best case scenario"). We thought we were never going to be able to purchase a home in this lifetime, it was not a fun experience working with this other company. So I decided to look on Yelp for another person to talk to - Wendy Mariani popped up and she was a God send. Wendy did what the other company could not do in 60 days; completely amazing! She was straight with us and gave us the bottom line and completely delivered above and beyond what we expected. My husband and I did not need a co-borrower and were able to qualify for 375k with a significantly lower down payment (I cant remember how much exactly). She dug through the fine print and threw everything at the wall to see what would stick to make our situation work. This is exactly the kind of person you want helping you purchase your first (or 2nd or any) home. If you are serious about purchasing a home Wendy is the one person you want in your corner, there's a reason she is ranked so high its because she walks the walk.
