I ordered to go, shepherds pie is my favorite. With tip I paid close to $20. Which for me is not bad. But the fries look like they weren't done from the oven. They almost even looked like a clear potato. Still tasted frozen. And the shepherds pie crust was super hard & overcooked. I tried to remove that part and just eat the inside and it was like mush. Came here a while back and I've been meaning to leave a review as the experience was very disappointing. I brought my sister here for her birthday as we love afternoon tea. We have been to several afternoon tea places and this one is just not it. Paid over $100 for 2 of us to have some frozen pies from the UK, finger Sandwhiches that looked that they were made by a child, and mediocre tea that you could find at any store. When we arrived, the two girls at the counter could not find our reservation (even though we were the only ones there). It seemed like they were sisters because as soon as they could not find us, they called their mom on the phone (who was probably the owner). After their mom showed them how to find our reservation, they took our order in which they were super clueless about. It looked like it was their first time seeing the menu along with ours. Overall, it was a weird experience and the place looked more like a shop rather than a cafe. Such a bummer as I was excited to have an afternoon tea place in Corona. read more

This little gem is nestled next a British pub in a small little shopping center. A place I would never look for a British shop with tea service. But, my husband took me for my birthday. I got a Bacon Sammie with British Back bacon, tea and a scone. Everything was delicious. I am honestly only upset I wasn't able to get the Victoria Sponge Cake. I've just left this delightful little shop. My server, Mimi, told me they've been open for about a month now. It's a store, but with cute little tables so that if you'd like to purchase a cup (or pot) of tea, and enjoy it on the spot with a scone or biscuit, you can. They have a small selection of teas for consumption on-site, and a larger amount to carry out. They also import various things like meat pies, blood sausage, various Heinz products (I snagged a potato leek soup!), and of course candies. It's a cute place, tucked away in the back of the shopping plaza. I'd definitely recommend. read more

I told them I needed to pick them up right when they opened and I was there 15 min early and it took over an hour and finally I said whatever is done is what I'll take. Came here to waste some time while waiting for my car to get fixed, was pleasantly surprised to see this shop in such an odd place. Really cool selection of items from the UK, highly suggest this place if you'd like to try new and abnormal things. They also sell homemade scones, for 5 dollars and it really is a deal- absolutely delicious warmed up with some clotted cream. I suggest to come here one day for a cup of tea and a scone if you're in the area- you won't regret it :) The person showing us around was also very nice and helpful! read more

When I think of a British Tea House, I think of the entire experience- everything British..including the music. I was taken aback by the rap music playing as we walked in. The tea was delicious, as were the scones. Suggestions: fill the containers to the top with jam and clotted cream (instead of scant portions) , serve real cream and raw sugar with the tea (instead of sugar packs and packaged creamer, and real silverware instead of plastic- It needs to be full on British to be worth the price :) read more

Nice little place, but felt more like a fast food version of tea than full tea house. The selection of teas for tea service was terrible. They had only one black tea which was not an impressive flavor. Also one herbal and one decaf. They sell dozens of flavors, so it comes down to them not wanting to open extra stock. Poor choice when charging $25 for a pot. Scones were ok, but not worth $5 each. Also, not sure why they sell CBD drinks in a corner cooler. Very off brand for a tea house. Again, nice little place, but a place we will not be returning to as there are better options for the price range. read more

An out of way tea shop. You would never expect a tea shop in that area. However, when speaking with Harmony (Mgr) I get it. Owner has love for their country, owns the PuB next door and now wants to offer the other-side of exposure to Britain. Although they have been open less than 8m the tea, vibe, scones and conversation was great. Small selection of teas - but that is British, simple but tasty . I regret writing this review, as the lady working there really tried to accommodate a last minute pre Christmas luncheon with my granddaughter. But the experience left a lot to be desired. Quite frankly I'm not sure how this place stays in business. We ordered a tower ($50) and a pot of tea ($25). The tower had sandwiches with stale bread, a few meat sandwiches and most likely thawed desserts. The $25 pot of tea (Manhatten pricing) came with packets of creamer and packets of sugar. The creamer curdled when it hit the hot tea. Not an appetizing look. The atmosphere in general wasn't really a place where you'd want to linger over a pot of tea. It's basically a store with a few 2-top uncomfortable iron bistro tables. We were probably in and out in a half hour, and while we tried everything, we didn't bother taking anything with us to go, as it wasn't worth the calories. I'm giving this place a 3 star mainly because the lady working there really tried to accommodate us with what she had on hand, but she didn't have a lot to work with. Cute little seating area with a nice back drop Chocolate scone was tasty Clerk was pleasant, but very soft spoken. The bad: The tea was so hot it was nearly scalding. Could not drink it there, which kind defeated the purpose of the cute seating area. Was surprised the tea was served in disposable cups but it worked out because it was so hot and we could take it home The store was very warm- it was at least 85-90 degrees inside on a mild day. Would not want to be there the summer. It also had sort of an abandoned feel- no music for ambience and the clerk was in the back when we first walked in. A fun surprise when we visited riverside. You can order tea to sip at bistro tables. Each order of tea comes with a digestive biscuit (yum) and we also ordered scones (very yummy). The staff was very sweet and the shop itself was quiet. I wish there was a but more separation of the seating area and the grocery shelves. It's great to have a taste of home and I realize that the prices will be higher but this place is way too overpriced. The prices on the shelf are different once they are rung up at checkout. For example HP Sauce priced at $6 (which is very expensive anyway) but I was charged $9.25!!! $9.25 for a small bottle of HP!!! Frozen bacon $10.30!!! Crumpets half the price in Trader Joe's. I actually went back in and questioned the HP Sauce but it was obvious the lady serving had no empowerment, she just apologized nervously and removed the $6.01 price tag from the shelf. Very disappointing, I'll order online and unfortunately never shop here again! read more

Spent a lovely hour or so having tea and scones here. The space is very well done with lots of British decor. There is a selection of British foods for purchase from the fridge and shelf. Plenty of room to accommodate a group for a ladies tea or birthday celebration. My friends and I will be back! read more

We had seen The British Tea House from the freeway and had been eager to stop in and check it out. They haven't been open long, and I am truly hoping they are still working out the kinks. As we entered, the only other people we saw were at a table. I thought at first that they were other customers, but it turned out to be a manager/supervisor and a new employee. Shortly thereafter, another employee came out from the back and went straight to the front register. No one greeted us at all, which made for a bad first impression. We came in for tea, but there are no signs (or staff) when you enter letting you know whether to order in the back or to be seated at a table. All of the tables are round metal bistro style seating for two only. The choice of cold metal over warm wood makes me hesitant to linger. A cup of tea stirs up images of cozy and warmth, but unfortunately this place is not living up to its potential. I would like to see it succeed, but unless things change, I don't see the business lasting more than a couple of years. read more
