I was calling around for cleaning services and spoke with Shannon of Brite Way Cleaning as my third call. Spoke with her over the phone, discussed all that I wanted to be cleaned and detailed (it sounded like she was taking notes), and Shannon took her time to explain to me what a move in clean was and gave me a quote of time and prices. I was very pleased with her call so I booked her services. Mind you, I had just bought my first place and it was EMPTY save for a couch, 1 armchair, and a TV stand. I was very explicit with the areas I wanted her to focus on during my call. The day came around for her to clean and my mom went over to let her into my place since I was working. She proceeded to then tell my mother that this would be a 5-6 hour job, minimum; no where near the quote of 3-4 hours I had received over the phone. She then texted me and told me it would take 6 hours. I had JUST bought my place and didn't have it in the budget for that long of cleaning. I told her to forget the blinds and only take 5 hours. I received a text when she was finished so I went over to pay her. I always feel very awkward looking things over when someone is staring at you so I didn't check out their work with Shannon and her helper present, which was my only mistake. I checked the place over after she had left and I had paid her and found some issues. I proceeded to message her about my concerns and she texted back and then called me right after her text and was quite rude over the phone with what she did do. I didn't want to argue with her so I just agreed and hung up. Two weeks later, I am now starting to move my things in to my new place and found many more issues. I had initially requested a move in clean. I told her I wanted the fridge inside and out, the stove, light fixtures, all kitchen cabinets and basement cabinets detailed. I also mentioned to her that the closests were just painted and not needing to be cleaned and the carpets did not need to be touched, no vacuuming or cleaning at all, because I was going to hire a carpet cleaner for that. As I was starting to unpack my things today, I found that the top shelf of all the kitchen cabinets, the small cabinets over the microwave, pantry, and fridge all weren't clean and still dusty. Also, on top of the fridge and underneath the fridge and stove all were still filthy. The basement cabinets and the light fixtures, which I specifically requested, weren't cleaned at all. I had read the reviews for Brite Way Cleaning services. I was thrilled to hire someone based on the reviews I had read. Shannon did an ok job. The problem is she was very unprofessional and didn't complete the job I paid her to do. My home is only 1640 sq feet. I keep up on cleaning but from time to time like to have someone come and do the detailed stuff and have it all done in a day. Shannon came to my home and quoted me $200, which I felt was sort of steep for what needed to be done. However, I agreed because of the reviews I had read. We set her up to arrive at 9am and she did not leave until around 5. Unfortunately, Shannon of Brite Way Cleaning Services never finished the job. I made the mistake of paying her before she completed what we agreed on. She assured me she would come back to finish my kitchen cabinets, some dusting but never did. She also left dirty rags and all my rugs outside. She didn't want to change the bedding and wasn't as clear as she felt she was in what I was paying her to do. Then not only did she not show up to finish, she sent me a text at 3am on a Sunday to tell me she wouldn't be able to finish the next day. At 3am she felt the need to let me know she was in need of rest based on her Dr's recommendations. She brings her own vacuum, which I feel is unsanitary because you do not know what is being brought in to your home, from another person she may be cleaning for. She also brings her own products and rags. So if you have any qualms you should know that. For what I paid her I feel my entire house should have been completed in the 8 hours she was here. I also fed her lunch and was as accommodating as I could be while she was working. I prep cleaned for her so it was just surface cleaning, no nicknacks, papers, all bedding removed, etc. Needless to say she never called me again to set up a later date. She didn't finish the job I paid her to do and she not did call to even apologize. We complicated things by hiring her on our actual move-out day when we had movers packaging and moving items out of the house. With that said, when she and her and her helper came we did a walkthrough of the home showing areas we would like her to concentrate on and she was very efficient in working each room in concert with the movers, and was very thorough in all of the areas that we asked (and a few we didn't as well!). I found her fee to be reasonable and her work exceptional considering the time we allotted to her and the size of the home (three stories, approximately 3400 sq. ft.) I contacted Shannon Kuebler (owner of Brite-Way House Cleaning Service) for my house cleaning service. The response was great initially while talking about the terms and price. We concluded the date & time for the house cleaning service. Follow-up prior to day of service: On reading the mixed reviews about her Brite-Way House Cleaning Service online, I called her again to check on the same. Mainly that I am relying on the agreement we made over phone and I would not like a no-show. She stated that the related review of no-show was posted by her disgruntled employee of hers and that she is in process of getting it removed. Did not seem plausible but then took it by her words and re-finalized the date and time for house cleaning. No Show - No Response: The time came and went and no sight of her. No phone call. No response. Nothing! A total NO SHOW!!! Even if there was something urgent that might have come up at her end, she could have left a short message. She did not pick the call nor reverted the calls after she failed to show. It was such a big inconvenience and disastrous of going through the entire process of booking the service and finally ends up with no show no response. Just do not rely on her and her services. I am giving Shannon of brite way cleaning ZERO stars. She is a THIEF and a cheat. I hired her to do a move in cleaning. She did an ok job but after she left she took the accessories to my vacuum, my trash bags, and my paper towels. I called her to ask her for my vacuum accessories back to which she said she only had one of the two missing peices, which was a lie since the two peices go together and she admitted to being the last person to use them. She agreed to mail me the part she admitted to having. It is now approaching one month since she cleaned my house and I still haven't received my accessories. I have been calling her at both the company phone number and her cell non stop for the past 2-3 weeks and all of my calls and voicemails have been ignored and now she has changed her phone number. I got a hold of the girl she had working with her that day and found out that of the $200 I had paid them Shannon only paid the other girl $40 and treated her and my house very disrespectfully and that she was very unprofessional and only made herself look busy when I was around. I just thank god that we didn't have anything else in the house for her to steal. If you are looking for a good, honest housekeeper keep looking. Shannon is not your person. read more
