A total stranger told me, oh he's really a dentist. I said, I'm glad he's good at something because as a contractor he stinks. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they tried to contact him but he ignored them like his employees ignore people they have contracts with. He even REVIEWED his OWN business on the Wood Construction website! Since my negative reviews on Google etc for Wood C&R LLC get ignored maybe I'll have to get my teeth straightened by $33,000 to get his attention. How do they sleep ripping off disabled old ladies like me? I'm living in a wreck of a house for months with nothing but excuses and he lives in a mansion... Give me my money back "Doc." Bills change each month, they add late fees to payments when we have already paid well over 3k. Billing lady in the Bristol office talks faster than any used car salesman and if I wasn't already in the middle of this I would use another dentist just for the billing nightmare that happens here. If I could leave zero stars I would.

Today, as a self pay patient, the doctor and his staff once again treated me with the utmost respect, were willing to consider my financial situation (instead of pushing me into something), and worked with me to get a treatment plan that suited me, my finances, and the future of my teeth. I've had extractions, cleanings, and root canals at Dr Moore's office, and everyone there is so kind and knowledgeable, I just won't go anywhere else. I haven't needed it, but they do provide sedation dentistry for folks who have a dental fear. I would recommend them to anyone. His office is on Roan right next to Boones Creek Pharmacy (another great local business), he's a Tennessee native, and a veteran. Make an appointment.

This is a hard mix to find, especially in the medical profession. I was particularly impressed with my parents' last visit. This practice has taken all of the necessary steps to protect their patients against COVID-19. For example, we waited in the car until it was time for my parents' appointment. Staff came wearing masks to the car and escorted my parents inside and returned my parents at the end of the appointment. Also, staff took the time to explain the results of their exam to me and invited me to use their restroom or bring coffee back to our car while I waited. This was a very nice touch. My parents and Johnson City are very fortunate to have Dr. Moore's practice.

He took X-ray and told me he noticed a bubble on my aortic blood line he suggested I go to my general doctor and have further testing he was right on the money as I has a bubble almost 3 times of what it should have been. This type issue is referred to as " the widow maker". I was scheduled for surgery and had a stint installed. That you Doc for paying such close attention to my X-rays and finding this problem. When I first came in I was suffering from severe pain and would have spells where I couldn't even walk, I would just collapse in pain. I was pregnant and could not get X-rays however Dr. Merrill is very knowledgeable and good at his job and was able to help me manage my pain till I was able to get X-rays later on down the road. I remember being so surprised because I didn't even have to tell Dr. Merrill where my pain was, after some poking and prodding in a quick assessment of my back he was able to tell me what I was feeling and why, which is very impressive to me considering most doctors you have to SPELL IT OUT and play charades for them to even be relatively close to helping you figure out your problem.By the time you have finally gotten them to understand you mine as well just have done some research on the internet, fixed your own problem and saved yourself a trillion dollars. I have been many places in my life where it's like going to the mechanic, you go in with one problem and leave with three! At Dr. Merrill's office this is not the case, he is very well informed and truly helps you recover long term. His wife, Kathy, does an amazing job with message therapy as well, between the two of them I could not be more thankful for finding this place! I'm so glad I did not take heed to the bad reviews, I've seen and read them and almost didn't go to Dr.Merrill's office at first, I only gave it a try because people I know and trust said he was great. I personally conclude those reviews were written in immaturity, it would seem as though they might have been expecting care to be free? Also they seemed very emotional and not performance based. DO NOT be swayed by the bad reviews!! You will not regret going to Dr. Merrill, if anyone can help you on your journey to recovery, he can!
