SELF PAY PATIENTS BEWARE!!!…read more First, we had a lovely visit. It was timely with no wait and the PA did a quick biopsy, our total appointment lasted less than 10 minutes and less than 30 in the building. The problem came with billing. On arrival I paid the appointment fee. At check out I was charged for the biopsy. The desk staff told me that the visit fee was waived and charged me for the biopsy-visit fee. I clarified that I was all paid up and not expecting a bill. The next month I received a bill in the mail with two fees, one in an exact amount I already paid. When I contacted them I was told one of those is a pathology fee- wonderful happy to pay. However, the other fee was a "balance" on the biopsy fee of - you guessed it exactly the $xx.xx fee I was told they waived. They have no record in their system of this miscommunication I need to foot the bill. I communicated clearly that I was displeased. I would have paid without question the full fee at the appointment. If I had needed to leave a balance it would have been a round number say $80 or $100. But there was no understanding. I am very disappointed and will be finding a provider who can offer transparency and consistency in their billing and communications.

Left horrible jagged vertical scars from the base to the nipple. Had internal bleeding, the nipples were stitched back on uneven and off centered and now look terrible. Also lost permanent feeling and no sensation even after 2.5 years. The doctors horribly botched the work and was told payment would be required for correction. Don't go to these butchers. UnitedHealthcare approved my explant surgery as medically necessary, and my primary care provider submitted all required medical clearance. Despite this, I made multiple attempts over several weeks to contact Dr. Brantner's office by phone and email to ask about scheduling, next steps, or whether they were willing to proceed with my care. I received no response. During this time, my symptoms continued to worsen severely. I was left without a treatment plan, without communication, and without basic guidance while dealing with a ruptured implant and significant health issues. I am sharing this so other patients seeking care for implant complications understand the challenges I faced in trying to receive medically necessary treatment. -- Jodie Davis - More Detailed **** I am documenting my experience as a patient dealing with a confirmed ruptured breast implant and severe Breast Implant Illness (BII) symptoms. UnitedHealthcare approved my explant surgery as medically necessary, and my primary care provider submitted all required medical clearance. Over several weeks, I contacted Dr. Brantner's office multiple times by phone and email. I asked for clarification on whether they would perform the surgery, how to schedule, and what the next steps were. I received NO communication in return. My symptoms have been severe: constant pain, inflammation, nausea requiring medication, and an inability to sleep lying down. Despite this, I was left without a treatment plan or any acknowledgment from the office. I am sharing this experience so other women seeking help for implant complications understand the lack of communication and support I encountered. -- Jodie Davis Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners Complaint Version (Formal, Factual, No Emotion) Formal Statement for the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners My name is Jodie Davis, and I am submitting this statement to document a lack of communication and continuity of care regarding medically necessary treatment for a confirmed ruptured breast implant. UnitedHealthcare approved my explant surgery as medically necessary. My primary care provider submitted all required medical clearance. Over several weeks, I contacted Dr. Jim Brantner's office multiple times by phone and email to request clarification on scheduling, next steps, or whether the provider was willing to proceed with my care. I received no response. During this time, my symptoms worsened significantly, including severe pain, inflammation, nausea requiring medication, and inability to sleep lying down. I was left without a treatment plan or communication from the provider. This statement is submitted to document the lack of response and the impact it had on my ability to obtain timely, medically necessary care. Also I have detailed my symptoms and ruptured implant with pain, nausea back pain arm pain I have to sleep sitting up. I wouldn't survive a day without nausea medication. This is pure neglect. I pray no other women is treated the way I was. I am so sick and disgusting with healthcare in Tennessee especially by our physicians that act like they care about us. I was given a plan followed the plan and treated like I was trash. I will never ever come back to this office and I pray for women if they ever have problems like I do do not walk in this office you will be treated like trash when you are feeling like you are dying. -- Jodie Davis Blountville, Documented Neglect While Seeking Care for Breast Implant Illness (BII) My name is Jodie Davis, and this is my documented experience seeking medical care for a confirmed ruptured breast implant and severe Breast Implant Illness (BII) symptoms. Despite having UnitedHealthcare approval for medically necessary explant surgery and completing all required medical clearance, I was met with silence from the provider I sought help from. For weeks, I called, emailed, and attempted to get basic communication about scheduling or next steps. I received none. During this time, my symptoms worsened: constant pain, inflammation, nausea, chest and back pressure, and the inability to sleep lying down. I was left without a treatment plan while my health deteriorated. This is not just my story -- it is the story of MILLIONS OF women with BII who are dismissed, ignored, or left without support while suffering. I am documenting this experience so others understand the reality of what patients face when seeking help for implant complications. -- Jodie Davis Please find a place that listens to all your symptoms and ruptured implant Bii illness. You deserve better. I certainly did but I will NOT EVER GO TO THIS DR AGAIN EVER. BEING TREATED LIKE TRASH BY HIS OFFICE AND HIS WIFE WAS DISGUSTING. JUST REALLY REALLY PRAY THAT I HELP JUST 1 WOMAN OF THE PAIN I HAVE DEALT WITH!
