Mike was a big part of that. He worked well with me on the music selection before and during the dancing and he took requests from all the guests and we had a lot of people dancing all night who didn't want to leave. He worked great with our coordinator and all the transitions in our wedding went very smoothly. His emcee skills were excellent and he had charisma, excitement and confidence in his announcements. Note: If you are having a wedding, hire a coordinator, or designate a friend of family member with a well put together plan. Don't expect the DJ to be your wedding coordinator and then blame him for your own lack of preparedness like another review here did. Mike is highly detail oriented, which is very important for a wedding. It does mean he's going to ask you a lot of questions beforehand and make you aware of a lot of things you probably had no idea mattered, but they really do. You don't want to have some clown who doesn't know how things work and sells you on the illusion that this is an easy job and all you need to do is find the lowest bidder. Then they go and screw up something special like your toast because there's a bunch of people not paying attention and the sound is too low. Happens all the time when you skimp on your DJ. Take my advice, it's one of the most important days of your life. Pay for a DJ with a lot of experience and knows what they are doing. I'm really glad we went with Mike rather than try and save money by getting some kid or cheap DJ service.

Also, we had a different ceremony and reception site, so there was the issue of set-up and take-down and re-setup. None of these things were issues for DJ Patrick - he has SO much gear and was able to adapt to any situation. He also has his own uplights, which saved us HUNDREDS on rentals. The thing that stands out to me was his investment in our day. He was the first one in our reception venue on the day-of, so he ended up telling the caterers where and when to set-up, he worked with the margarita machine guy to learn the recipe and how to start the machine, etc. He even brought something to the ceremony site for us that we left at the reception set-up! He was AMAZING! Our own little Day-Of Coordinator :) He was dancing and had us all dancing for hours - he even took some photos and sent them to us. Can't recommend enough. He was fantastic.
