Wow Wow Wow. Heather is truly a master at her craft and such a warm and kindhearted person. It was truly such an honor to work with her from our engagement photoshoot to the day of our wedding. Background: On August 10, 2019 at Mount Shasta Resort, Heather and her team captured every essence of the best day of our lives. We had a lot of moving parts from the bipolar weather shifting from rainy to clear blue skies to densely packed program of our reception to managing photos with 230 guests. Yet, through it all, she managed to maintain her composure and had fun with us through it all. Style: Heather did a phenomenal job of capturing us and our goofiness as well as our gushy love and affection for each other. In addition, she was able to capture the traditional photos with family members and such. Process: She's great at communicating throughout the entire process. I never once felt like I wasn't in the loop. I HIGHLY recommend having Heather serve as the photographer for any event. She's got an impeccable eye for capturing all the right shots! We're absolutely ecstatic about our photos! read more

I have never in my life been so pleased with any service as I was with Heather Armstrong's photography at my wedding. Heather is the best sort of artist--the artist who creates for love of both the act of creating and the subject. Though I dabble in photography myself, I am admittedly not photogenic. Heather took the best photographs I have ever seen of myself, and made me feel profoundly comfortable all the while. Though Heather is based out of Redding, California, she was willing to travel to our wedding in Southern California. I have many friends who have spent far more on wedding photography than my wife and I did and in my opinion, our photographs are the best I have seen. You will not regret choosing Heather for your wedding, or for family or senior portraits. Check out her website, and particularly her constantly updated blog to get a taste of what an excellent photographer she is. read more

Heather is absolutely wonderful. Not only are her pictures fairy-tale-esque, full of light and capture the purity of every emotion, but she goes above and beyond in her passion and excellence for her clients. She photographed my wedding last year with her husband, Ben, and I could not possibly be happier with the pictures as well as the whole experience of working with them! I had countless guests (and friends and family online later!) ask who my photographer was because they couldn't believe how amazing the photos were, and because those who attended my wedding were so impressed by the professional, friendly and genuine demeanor of Heather and Ben. If you want jaw-dropping photos that everyone will love, book Heather. She was able to make my bridal party, family and friends feel so comfortable and natural in the photos, which is a feat in itself! Everyone loved her. After the event Heather went above and beyond my expectations by giving me every photo of the event on a cd, her thoughtful packaging and attention to detail is beautiful and impeccable, it was like receiving a wonderful gift simply receiving my package that I got from her! There is so much included in her photo packages, she goes over the top with what she includes in her package deals, she is so worth the money. I could not recommend Heather Armstrong Photography more highly, I assure you you would not be disappointed, she is amazing and inspiring at what she does! read more

Heather Armstrong Photography is really about as good as it gets. As a veteran of weddings and other life events Heather and her husband make a great team. She knows when to just catch a moment and is not afraid to set up a shot. This is a great balance as I've seen Photogs ruin wedding receptions by keeping the Bride and Groom busy through out. Heather Armstrong Photography and I have only worked together once but from the finished product I've seen as well as her team player mentality I wouldn't hesitate to suggest her for your next occasion. In this day and age of easy access to a quality camera I have heard of some serious disasters. I've had Brides call me asking if any of my pics turned out because their camera malfunctioned and all the pics were lost. Sometimes, with a friend or family member snapping pictures the end result is much less than average and what do you do? I say avoid the headache and get a professional. Call Heather to check availability. I am not being paid for the above comments. Cheers! DJ Mike Flanagan read more

Heather is a joy to work with and the greatest artist ever! She has photographed our daughter's wedding and son's graduation and we have nothing but the highest praise! Professional, friendly and awesome attention to detail! Book your event early, her calendar fills up quickly and I also love the blog on her website! read more

Heather's photos immediately appealed to us because they conveyed not just a sound artistic eye, but also so much love, light and joy... we found quickly after meeting her that it's because Heather herself exudes all of these traits herself! On the business side, we found Heather to be very flexible and easy to work with, while also having a professional demeanor in running her business. She also proposed a package for us that fit our particular needs and price range. Heather is extremely hardworking and habitually turns her work around very quickly. She blogged our session and uploaded all of our photos to a private viewing gallery within 4-5 days after the shoot, and we received our photos on CD within a couple weeks. We're beyond happy with Heather's work. She gave just enough direction to my nervous daughter, that she shined naturally. She works well with natural light... and from my observation from following her blog, also seems to be an expert at taking photos anywhere, she can turn a dilapidated parking lot into a stylish backdrop! Heather has done two senior sessions with several of my daughters and I look forward to her shooting our renewal of vows/family session in Spring. read more

Heather photographed our wedding last weekend and she was amazing. She is very professional, and we loved the second photographer she brought along as well. She worked with our budget and our timeline and was a wonderful person to be with throughout the day. Heather reviewed family members I wanted to be photographed with and kept track of names and relationships. She had the email I sent her the day of the wedding to make sure everyone was included that we had talked about. She was very attentive to the types of photos I wanted (even checked out my pinterest page to make sure she knew the types of photos I favored). She was able to get my slightly rowdy bridal party to pose and they enjoyed the experience also. If you're looking for someone who you can be comfortable with and who will bring out the best for you on a big day she will be wonderful! I would recommend Heather to anyone, it was very nice to have her at our special day. read more

Working with Heather and her husband Ben was a DREAM! I have absolutely no complaints and continue to rave about her work. Heather and Ben did the photography for my wedding back in July 2015, in Mountain View, CA. Heather was in regular communication with me ever since my initial inquiry. She made the process really easy and knew the questions to ask me in advance, so that she understood my vision and so that she'd get all the shots I wanted on my wedding day. For example, she asked me what family shots we wanted and I wrote it all out beforehand so that when we needed to take those photos, it was seamless, stress-free and effortless! Heather has an incredible eye and captured some of the most amazing moments of the night. I will be forever grateful! She also created a gorgeous one-of-a-kind wedding book for us that we received just a few months post wedding. I definitely recommend Heather to anyone seeking an amazing photog!! read more

Amazing at what she does! We hired Heather for family photos last year and they were absolutely stunning! So grateful to have her talent in our area! read more

Heather is by far the best photographer I've ever worked with and I've worked with quite a few over the years. First and foremost, she is personable, engaging, and involved. She is great at directing you, but not forceful. She brings great energy to a day that can easily not be exciting for husbands (You guys out there know what I'm talking about) My background is in media. I spent 6 years in LA and graduated with a film degree. I spent years studying imagery and what makes a picture "good". Anyone can click a button, but having an eye for composition and lighting, especially natural light that can't be controlled, takes gifting and talent that Heather has clearly spent time honing. Without a doubt Heather is one of the best photographers Northern California has to offer. If you need pictures taken she's the one to call. read more

Heather was the one and only thing I knew I needed 100% for my wedding, She was the first person I contacted after getting engaged and I am so happy I did. She did our engagements and our wedding just this past weekend and I can not emphasize enough how much talent this woman has. She goes above and beyond for her clients and truly captures the beauty in every shot she takes. So grateful to have had her capture our big day! I highly recommend; you will NOT be disappointed!!! read more

Heather does a great job capturing mood, personality, and style of event. She is wonderful!!

Heather recently photographed my daughter's wedding. While I have not yet seen her pictures from the wedding, I wanted to write a review just to say how incredible she was to work with. We had a crazy, chaotic storm hit just as our outside wedding was going to take place, and Heather was so flexible and encouraging, and could not have been more pleasant to work with. She went above and beyond! I can't wait to see what she captured on film! I know I will be writing another wonderful review when I see her pictures! read more
