She photographed my August 1st wedding and the results were far better than I ever could have hoped. The package included an awesome engagement shoot, and a DVD of all the pictures. The engagement shoot was a great opportunity to get to know her style and to see which kind of shots we preferred. Diana is an expert at capturing the emotions of any moment. Diana attentively listened to us during every conversation leading up to a photo session, and the pictures we received from the engagement session, the photobooth at the wedding, and our wedding photos are absolutely amazing! Details and creativity come first for Diana. For our engagement session, we wanted two very different styles of photos. Getting a family photo with our pooches and an elegant evening shot where we got engaged was important to us. By using treats for the dogs and being a natural at calming a camera-shy couple, Diana snapped the perfect shots of us. Diana also arranged ahead of time with one of our locations for us to get there early and have the place to ourselves. It was that extra step that she took that helped get that elegant, just-right shot that many of our friends swear should be on the cover of a magazine! Diana's photobooth is above the rest. The photobooth is operated by one of Diana's assistants who made sure the guests were positioned correctly for the perfect pic! She also had props available for the guests, and displayed an oh-so creative sign directing guests to the photobooth. The absolutely adorable tags with photos from our engagement session on them giving guests directions to access the photos were yet another example of how in tune to details and the little things Diana is. When it came to the day of our wedding, Diana had spoken to me as many times to help me finalize timelines and photograph details. She reviewed the information and talked me through some ideas to get the most out of the photographs that day. As all brides know, the days leading up to the wedding are the most stressful, and I truly appreciated Diana's attention to the timeline of the day and other details that would help plan for the day's photographs. Looking back on one of our first conversations, I explained to Diana that I wanted the photos to capture the rustic elegance of our venue and our vision. She nailed it! What can I say? She had me at first photo! After attempting to walk through the maze that was a bridal show in San Francisco with a plethora of photographers, only one photographer's work caught my eye and that was Diana Maire Photography. My best friend was with me and we both were drawn to her booth immediately. She takes beautiful, fun and romantic photos. I just knew instantly she was the photographer for us, but looking over her albums at her booth solidified it. I was sold, I just had to convince my fiance now husband. We chose Diana as our engagement and wedding photographer for our June wedding. Her work is amazing! There is no doubt about that. I couldn't recommend Diana more for wedding photos. Not only do we absolutely LOVE all our photos, she was great to work with. We had a San Francisco City Hall wedding and Diana was a dream to work with. Since she hadn't shot at City Hall in a while, she scouted locations ahead of when we arrived and knew some amazing spots to take us for photos after ceremony. Diana sent us a check list of which family groups we wanted to do photos with ahead of the ceremony day, so we were able to get all our various combinations of parents, siblings, step-parents, etc., photos done quickly, which was key as it was a busy day at City Hall and groups were lining up behind us for the prime photo spots. After we dismissed our families to take just bride/groom photos, Diana was sweet and calming really set us at ease. Our photos turned out AMAZING. When choosing a photographer for my wedding, Diana's work immediately appealed to me. They are clean, crisp, and the use of lighting and natural colors remind me of what I would find in a Anthropologie catalog! Diana is very down-to-earth and easy to work with. Every parent knows that taking good pictures of their child is very tricky. Our daughter is not interested in smiling for the camera and loses her attention very quickly. She gave Diana about 5 min of her time before running of again to play. I was sure that we maybe have 1 or 2 good pictures if we were lucky. Diana photographed our wedding in September 2011 and then came back the next day because I really wanted to "wreck the dress" by jumping in a pool. I could not be happier with Diana as my wedding photographer. Since I am a perfectionist, I researched photographers extensively before my wedding, and I met with several before choosing Diana. I was feeling a little stressed about that part of my planning, because the photography was one of the two most important parts to me of the wedding (the other was finding the right dress), and I was working on a budget, which I think is common for brides these days. I eventually chose Diana because a) I could tell from her work that she was an exceptional photographer, and b) she was willing to work with me to develop a package that I could afford. As for the wedding itself, I could not imagine any photographer being a better addition to the assembly of wedding guests. My wedding had its own special bit of pre-ceremony craziness, but Diana was calm and kind through the entire evening. She did not seem perturbed by the stress of the wedding, and her presence made everything better. She was always where she needed to be, and she was never in the way. She would be an ideal wedding guest, whether or not she was taking pictures! When I finally received all my pictures back, I was so happy! Diana is extraordinarily talented: her shots are clear, beautiful, and professional. She has the ability to be at the right place at the right time, and she knows how to capture good photographs. While I was able to absorb the beauty of the ceremony site, the reception was such a blur that I didn't notice all of the beautiful decorations, and I didn't have time to greet every guest. Wow!! Diana came highly recommended from a friend who used her as her wedding photographer. My husband and I just got married and couldn't be happier with choosing Diana as well!! She was phenomenal. Although I was harder to reach, I loved that she really wanted to get to know me during the wedding planning process and was in constant communication. I loved her pictures on her website because she was unique and had a great eye that wasn't too traditional and generic "just like everybody else's." She asked me all the right questions about what I liked and wanted without putting too much pressure on me since she is the professional. She was knowledgeable and organized and very patient with us. The day of the wedding we couldn't find our list of specific shots we wanted so she knew who to call up after the ceremony (ie: mom and dad, cousins, etc) and she didn't panic at all and made me feel okay about stupidly forgetting it. She made it all work out smoothly. She's from San Francisco and came out with another photographer so neither knew the area at all. They took the time to scope out the area and find the perfect shots for both sides of the wedding party. It was so much fun and I can't wait to see all the shots! The photographers never stopped taking pictures and I know captured some awesome "candid" moments that will be way better than just standing there and posing. Of course we still did the traditional shots but she exceeded our expectations by capturing "us" in the other photos!
