I have tried multiple times, multiple ways to contact this photographer and they have not had the time to respond. That's not a way to keep customers. I would be afraid to book this person for an event seeing as how this is how they run a business. read more

Kara is very talented!! Her work is AMAZING!! She shot my wedding on October 10th, 2009 and she did a great job!! Not only did the $3000 we paid (half up front & half the day of the wedding) she shot our engagement photos, rehearsal dinner, wedding (12 hrs) and did an extra shoot at Old Shasta a month after our wedding! The pictures turned out amazing and our wedding book is such a special keepsake for the bride & groom!! Only grumble is that it did take a bit longer than anticipated to get final pictures back, but it was worth the wait!! And she did keep us updated with photos via FB!! Highly recommend!!! read more

Our ad agency has used Kara many times over the years and we've always had a great experience. Outstanding photos, professionalism and promptness in getting the job done. She brings great creativity and input to each shot. She's also always been great about getting us copies of things when client requests have come up way after the project is done. I definitely recommend Kara for any photography project. read more

We hired Kara's photography services for our June wedding. She is amazing. A true artist. She has the ability to put anyone at ease with the camera. And after our portraits were done, she completely melted in with the crowd. I didn't even realize there was a camera there! She captured my perfect day completely. She does an incredible job with adding her own touches to the finished photos. And she's creative and funny and just flat out the best photographer I've ever had. I would absolutely recommend her services to anyone. Whether it's a wedding, engagement, birthday, ANYTHING...she's your girl. She will capture the raw and pure emotion in you, leaving you speechless at the beauty of her work. The only suggestion I have is to book her NOW, because she has become so popular! read more

Kara shot our wedding last winter at Anselmo Vineyards on the day it snowed! We couldn't have had better lighting or a better photographer. She is intelligent, professional and courteous. Our photos turned out much better than we imagined. Besides her skilled eye, she has a great attitude and is fun to work with. My wife and I were impressed by her game plan for pictures on our big day, which was a huge load off our minds. She is so worth what she charges. Thanks so much Kara!!! read more

I am shocked at the post by Jan S. What's interesting is that the other 5-star review is the DAUGHTER (Bride)! Kara is the most respectable, talented, and delightful person. She is an absolute JOY to work with. She is highly recommended because she is so great. Artistically she will blow your mind. She will make you comfortable and relaxed. We have used her for years and will always use her. read more

I'm shocked to find ANY negative reviews on here because not only is Kara Stewart a professional but she is AMAZING. Kara shot my best friends wedding and after I saw her images and artistic eye, I knew I wanted her for my own wedding as well. She shot my backyard wedding on May 25th, 2013 and not only did she get the best candid photos of my family but she got my husband to smile!!!! She is warm, friendly, prompt and professional. She usually even brings an extra photography assistant at no extra cost (at least with mine and my friend's weddings). She has a way of shooting weddings so you don't even really see her, like a fly on the wall! As far as time to get pictures Kara is pretty typical for a photographer who photoshops and cleans up EVERY image. I got 50 sneak peek photos within four days of my ceremony as did my friend. the rest come when she's done perfecting them....which takes time people. Her work is impeccable...she's truly an amazing artist. I would recommend Kara to anyone who is looking to truly capture your special day, small details, romantic glances and love. read more

Incredible photographer! We LOVE Kara Stewart photography. Not only is she an amazing and creative photographer, she's a wonderful person who makes the process of taking photos fun and natural. She truly captured our family the way we are, and the images we got from our session were all stunning, we have 4 younger children that can be hard to capture yet she went above and beyond, and the results far exceeded our expectations. THANK YOU Kara we will be back for more of your breathtaking photography! read more

This was the WORST photography experience we have ever had. We hired her for our daughter's wedding on October 10, 2009 and she of course had to have all the monies up front. $3000. She came the day of the wedding amid personal problems and shot the wedding pics. It wasnt until May that we finally got "the book" along with a CD. My husband and I were not impressed and I would not want anyone to get ripped off like we did. The pics were just ok and then she proceeded to use them in Enjoy magazine for 3 months running when we couldnt even get any. I had to beg to get a pic for our xmas card. She is a nightmare and doesnt care. DO NOT USE. I wanted to use our favorite photog, New Images and I let my daughter pic Kara.....BIG MISTAKE!! YOU ALL HAVE BEEN WARNED. I have NOTHING to show my friends or family cuz "the book" belongs to my daughter...all very sad. Pleeeez dont make the same mistake we did. read more

We met Kara at a wedding expo and quickly fell in love with her work and her personality. We hired her to do our engagement photos and our wedding photos. It took her about a month to get us our photos back from our engagement photo session. However, the wait was well worth it. We loved what she was able to capture. We were thrilled with what she had captured and couldn't wait for our big day to see what she could really do. Unfortunately, that is where her professionalism ended. Leading up to the wedding it was so difficult to get ahold of her to confirm details and ask her questions. It was so bad that a week before the wedding we had to ask if we needed to hire another photographer. She immediately got back to us and assured us that we did not need to hire someone else. She said that she moved and had bad reception and that's why she never responded. It literally took us threatening to hire someone else to get her to respond. That should have been our first red flag but we went off of all her reviews and her work and we truly believed her. Our wedding day came and went and it took her almost 8 months to get us our photos, this did not include our wedding album. When we finally received our photos after again hounding her relentlessly and again receiving every excuse under the sun from her we were once again disappointed. The photos were in a random order, so not in chronological order of the event, photos weren't centered ( which resulted in people's arms being cut off because she didn't take the time to center the photo), my husband's head was cut off in lots of photos because she didn't shoot the camera at a high enough angle, and all our alter photos had gazebo posts down the middle or people's heads blocking half the photo. When we confronted her about the quality she stated " we saw the work she had done and she lived up to that expectation". She went on to say that her work was an artistic expression. We are now over a year out and never received or album that we paid for. She boasts that the album costs $1200. She agreed to give us $500 for the album we never received in exchange for agreeing to never get one. We finally agreed because we were so sick of her unprofessionalism and her excuses. We threatened to sue her but she agreed to give us a canvas print and the $500. We are again several months out with her yet again failing to respond to messages and follow through with promises. Good person, awful photographer. Save yourself the heartache and hire a real professional. read more

Very rarely will you ever remember in your mind the beauty of you in that dress you have waited for months to walk down the aisle in, or the smile your child had on his or her face at an early age. Kara, you said on your website that: "You want photos that portray your real smile, your real laugh, your REAL LOVE. And I want to give them to you." I can't tell you or your future clients enough of how beautiful and time captivating my sisters wedding was or how beautiful my family will feel forever with what you have created. Thank you for doing just what you said you would! God bless. read more

Kara Stewart has been our family photographer since she captured our wedding in 2008. We have NEVER had a bad experience with a photo session. At our wedding we had numerous compliments on our photographer (Kara). All of our guests talked about how incredibly talented she is, how fun she is, and how she captured every single detail from our special day. She is very reasonable when it comes to price and she has always gotten our photos back to us quickly. Also, if you are familiar with ENJOY magazine then you might recognize that most of the cover photos are her photos, and you will also see in this last issue of ENJOY that she won BEST PHOTOGRAPHER IN THE NORTH STATE!! She is AMAZING! We absolutely love our sessions with Kara and I am always looking forward to the next. You won't be disappointed with her! read more

Great Photographer! I was shocked to see such a poor review on her services. That is not at all what I experienced. Kara did my daughter's senior pictures on location. The photos were amazing! The fee was very reasonable and the pictures were delivered in a timely manner. Not only were the pictures wonderful, but my daughter had SO much fun taking them. Kara really "captured" her in the photos. I would highly recommend Kara to anyone needing a photographer with excellent skill, stellar integrity and a creative flair. read more
