Here goes, yet another review on Scam Security (My Alarm Center) So after my last drama with Scam and the evening of beeping all night and finding out 1 year after paying for alarm / security services a engineer / maintenance guy came out..... Firstly let me say he was 100% the best Scam member of staff we have come across. He was on time, nice and firstly he was AMAZED that after such a large install (our alarm took over 10 visits and multiple Scam staff in and out of our home) he was amazed that the ADT sign was still in the drive way and sticker on the front door and nothing advertising SCAM. - this really doesn't bother me as i do all i can to tell everyone i know buying a home in The Hamptons, The many estate brokers and custom home builders never to work with SCAM.... However then he pointed out that the WINDOW NEXT TO THE FRONT DOOR NEVER HAD any contacts on (much like the window in the master bathroom in my last review) - This is truly unreal and means my home and business (which i run from my home) hasn't been secure from day one. It means we have been paying for a service which hasn't existed. And then guess what this morning i received a bill for this work!!!!!!! Truly amazing Please listen to this review and understand SCAM - Sales guys lie and sell you things which do not materialize - The install guys work in total mess and leaving wiring like a slum in a third world project - The install guys seem to FORGET to secure all windows - The install guys leave no map or system so when you need to change a battery you the client have any idea which it is. - When you call in the middle of the night the support guys on call have no idea how to work with your system and were telling me to enter a four digit code into our keypad when we do not even have a key pad. Please feel free to message me and i can explain more why i'm upset which would 100% keep you away from this company. read more

Briscoe was recommended to me by friends! I have had an alarm installed for years at home but my old security company never checked on the system, which was due for an upgrade! I called Briscoe and within 48 hours a technician was at my house, they had all the supplies and products on the truck to install a new alarm, fire system and also put up cameras for me. The team member, Tom (I think that is his name!) was extremely courteous and respectful of my home and personally cleaned up any dust or dirt that came from the installation. He even waked me through the system twice, so I understood everything clearly. Now that my home has a new alarm, fire safety and camera monitoring, I have the confidence to sleep soundly, leave my family at home and know we are covered by Briscoe. Thanks to the whole team, from sales, customer service and the technicians, all A+ interactions and service on their part. We just had new automatic gates installed on Further Lane in East Hampton. In addition, we had our full security system upgraded. We weren't there ourselves for the installation so unfortunately needed help getting the gate open from the inside. We had opted for the premier plan and thus called Briscoe on a Saturday - we realized why we chose a local company in the business for so long. A service technician and his apprentice showed up 45 mins after our call, carefully explaining the remote working to us and 'testing' us to make sure we got it. The apprentice learned at the same time. Just felt like a good experience with trained people. The technician shared they too struggled for finding enough people to help during the covid surge and now things are getting back to normal. Same-day next-day is what they strive for and they're almost back to it. We appreciate the help and feel safe protecting our properties by Briscoe. read more

I just had a very positive experience with briscoe and specifically with Vincent Minichello who is one of their installers in the Southampton office. After upgrading my system through Reed who has been with Briscoe/scan security since I was a new customer many years ago and is also always helpful and responsive, I needed help to get my alarm system fully operational. I had a hard deadline since I needed same day service as I was going out of town that evening. Briscoe made it happen (specifically both Reed and John the manager in installations made it happen). Vince was incredibly helpful and even fixed my phone line which had gone inoperative causing additional problems for the alarm system. He was patient, courteous and fixed all the issues I had with the new system. He walked through the new app and addressed all my questions. Highly recommend Briscoe after this experience . read more

My husband and I have been long time Scan customer's. Lately we have been having issues with our security system and really wanted to have someone come check out our system before we left our summer home for the season. When calling I was getting extremely frustrated with being unable to actually talk directly to someone in the Southampton building. All calls were being sent to PA? When I was finally able to reach someone at Scan Security I spoke to a gentleman named Joe, who was not only polite, but was able to get us scheduled within a reasonable time. The whole process of calling in and getting scheduled was beyond frustrating, Joe was very helpful and accommodating. Changed my opinion of this company. read more

Briscoe/Scan Security just came to my home in East Hampton to help coordinate the "Police, Fire, and Hospital" buttons on my security keypad with my automatic gates so that the gates open and stay open if any of these buttons are pushed. Otherwise the gates would be an impediment to getting help in an emergency. Vince Minichello came to my home and reprogrammed my system and tested it out thoroughly. I was very happy because Vince was very knowledgeable and accomplished what I needed. I feel much more secure now. read more

We first entered into a security contract with SCAN SECURITY when we learned that our security service no longer had a central office in our immediate vicinity. In other words, the company no longer had anyone local who could inform us why our alarm was triggered. Ever since we switched to SCAN, we have been so pleased with their operations that we asked the company to provide us with a guard service to check on our house three times a week. The response by SCAN to our needs and questions has been excellent. read more

The Briscoe technicians team just installed a new burglary alarm and camera system at our Southampton home. They were polite and on time. What more can I say. The system works well (we have Honeywell burg alarm sensors and Digital Watchdog cameras). We chose their IP option and the ability to see the cameras while we're away. They showed up two days after our call which to me is fast service, with most companies backed up on the East End. We were referred by our neighbors and are glad we listened. read more

I have been with Scan Security for a very long time, I have a system in my Main House as well as My Guest House. I do not retire for the evening without putting the sytem on. I feel very secure knowing someone is watching out for me. I have traveled and have received calls in California, knowing Scan was at my home was very comforting and knowing all was well, even thou it was do to a gust of wind which ratted a french door. I have been with Scan for 7 months now and love everything they do. I have had no problems with the system, the salesman was very nice and the installers were quick and courteous. Install probably took 2 maybe 3 hours, they went over all the details and took their time until I was comfortable, I didn't feel rushed at all. They offer a lot more than just your basic security system and at better prices than other companies. All in all I believe they are an A+ company! read more

I had a new alarm system installed at my house and the Briscoe technicians did an outstanding job. I did my diligence and looked at about 4 companies in the east end. These guys have been around the longest and have the shortest wait time. The rest have about two technicians and I dont want to wait for service during a storm or god forbid if I have a burglar in my house. Thanks for the safety kit with the fire extinguisher check. We didn't know Briscoe also offers fire extinguishers besides their security products. Ask for the bundled services and they will give you discount if you opt for cameras, burglary alarm and fire extinguishers. We agreed to a service agreement for all to not have to worry about it. We also use their guard service which works well when we are away and we want the property checked. read more

We had a camera system installed at our car dealership today. Inside and outside cameras. The guys showed up before 8 and were done at 11. These cameras have two way voice, so even in evenings should somebody trespass, they're talked off the property. If they still remain, Briscoe will dispatch the authorities. Gives us piece of mind. We have high-class vehicles waiting to be picked up each morning so safety on our lot is key. read more

Our access control system was upgraded by Briscoe in our Bridgehampton Commons clinic. The card swipe and entry details can easily be updated in the software. We had an old Linear system that they replaced with something new. We also have their Spectrum system that can trace unknown people throughout the clinic, allowing us for less stress during patient meetings rgd what's going on in the rest of the building. We are a restaurant with multiple locations on County Road. We recently had a burglary and camera system installed by Briscoe. I have nothing bad to say. The installers explained how everything worked and it's been a lifesaver since. No more after-hours check-ins for activity, no more cash register monitoring, and no more unwanted loitering.
