The best place I have eaten in Baja California Sur. Genuine and compassionate service. A crew that values the contribution they are making to the community and the culinary arts. Fantastic dishes, not complicated, just balanced for what they want to give you. Honors the true taste of the ingredients and absolutely clean eating. Beautiful venue too. The chef is a pro and definitely has fun with the job! (The gordita is the dish pictured, it was fantastic and a stand out)

You can choose a meat and order by portion sizes just like at other barbecue restaurants here. We ordered the pulled pork and the brisket to try. Before our meat came out we ordered a Gorgonzola and pear salad to start. We are back in America now and STILL talking about that salad. The greens were dark and fresh, the cheese and pears were delicious and they added candied pecans that just made it!! While you wait they also serve you with chips and salsa as most places in Cabo do, but their salsa was so unique!!! They have a habanero pineapple salsa that is to die for. When our meat came out we were equally impressed. The meat was so tender and tasty, and the barbecue sauce was delicious!! They will give you more sauce if you ask and also have a spicy one you can try. We also asked for a side of Mac and cheese which was definitely homemade and so cheesy. We left happy and with a few leftovers that we soon devoured the next day at our hotel. This is a must try!!!

They did not skimp on which ones they picked and always put their best foot forward. The highlight of these dinners was the El Mequite. I have not normally associated Mexican dining with great beef, but this place rivals any place I've been (e.g. Manny's in MN, etc.). And, by USA standards, it is very very reasonably priced. We had drinks and the shrimp appetizer to start off with. One platter was good for our party of five. We are all "retirement age" but peppy enough to go after game fish in the Sea of Cortez, so we carry an appetite. The shrimp were plump and not overcooked at all. They were served in a rich sauce as shown in the photo. Yum! We then went on to the main course, which was two platters of Chateaubriand. Each platter is meant for two people, but locals told us that the dual platters would easily serve the five of us. They were right! The pounds of center cut tenderloin and the accompanying vegetables and baked potatoes were more than enough for us after the appetizer and a couple drinks. It was delicious and we ate to discomfort. The dessert was flan and this was tasty and cooked fresh on premises that day. Great stuff! Service was perfectly attentive and, although there is not a lot of English spoken here, there is enough that us gringos were able to easily communicate what we wanted. When you are in LaPaz, this is the place if you are a meat eater!

Our waiter Alex was great, and as an added bonus his English was excellent for those of us just learning the beautiful Spanish language. Pasta Alfredo with shrimp was very tasty. We will be back!

They offer daily specials at very reasonable prices. I ordered the octopus, and it was to die for perfectly cooked and incredibly tender. It was served over roasted vegetables with a side of rice. Sometimes, simple food prepared the right way can be just as satisfying as anything you'd find at a gourmet restaurant. The restaurant has an Argentine flair, with several tempting meat dishes on the menu. The daily special that day was a 12-hour roasted pork shank that looked absolutely mouthwatering, but I opted for the octopus instead and I'm glad I did. Everything was delicious, and I'll definitely be coming back to try some of their other dishes

We ordered the T-Rex, the Piggy, corn, carbon vegetal, and dessert, and we also received an amuse-bouche to start our meal. Everything from start to finish was a culinary delight. Our server, Rodrigo, and the rest of the staff provided excellent service that truly elevated our experience. The T-Rex ribeye was cooked to perfection, and the remaining fat was later transformed into chicharron paired with lemon and pickled onion. It would be easy to say that was the favorite dish of the evening, but each dish shined on its own. Needless to say, everything we saw, ate, and drank was crafted to perfection for a beautiful experience. We loved bringing our kids into this fine dining environment and were happy to celebrate our son's birthday here, where Rodrigo and the staff made it an unforgettable evening.

I would highly recommend this restaurant for a romantic dinner in Cabo or a big group of friends. Everything was fantastic from service to food and drinks. I would definitely come here again!

It's a beautiful setting, their attention to detail is readily apparent. Modern and masculine with just enough rustic features to remind you they're cooking meat over flames, you immediately know that you're in for a treat. We had bone marrow served with refried beans (Who knew this was a killer combo?!?), Caesar salad (fresh and traditional), fish tacos (savory and snappy with zest), elote (maybe the highlight of the night, perfectly prepared tender corn oozing with flavor), whole snapper roasted over mesquite, rib eye (perfect medium rare with crispy rendered fat)...oh man...what a treat! Probably my 6th time here over the last decade and they've always been good. They now might be at their peak. It's expensive, likely one of the most costly meals you'll have in La Paz - we ordered wines, drinks, multiple apps, entrees and desserts - and spent around $100 US each for a dinner that would cost twice as much stateside. If you like fine dining, this place is an absolute must.

After plenty of walking around the Malecon, I found Las Tres Virgenes on Yelp. I called them and they were gladly happy to have us. They were less than 10 min walk away. The restaurant was beautiful grind the inside out. Unfortunately this weekend was very humid and they sat us outside although we asked God an inside seating. There were tables and I'm unsure why we couldn't sit inside. That was disappointing. My five stars mostly goes to the restaurants atmosphere. The server gave us a bag of bread that I believe was made in their outside oven. It was delicious. It also was served with oil. There was a lot of pork on the menu and our group was not interested. They did accommodate those in my group and provided bean tostadas. The group said they were good. I ordered the Caesar salad which was very fun that they make it for you at the table. It was refreshing. I also ordered the burger and fries. This was one of the best burgers I ever had. The fries were not anything special. They had no flavor but were cooked to a perfection just needed some seasoning. I wish the restaurant had more food options on the menu. I also should mention they give you a variety of salsas at your table which I love the macha salsa in the trio.
