So I love going to this Laura/Melanie Lyne because in addition to selling the current season's…read moreitems at regular price, they are also an outlet. They have items from previous seasons at lower prices and I've found some really good deals here. They also have a small selection of off-season items, so if you need a pair of shorts in the dead of winter or a coat in the middle of summer, you might find what you need here. They have a huge selection of regular sizes, petites and plus sizes. They have mostly business attire, but they also have casual wear and evening gowns. I love how I can actually buy evening gowns here off the rack and not need any alterations (albeit only from their petite line). So all you short and slim ladies (e.g. 0P and 2P) who have a hard time finding formal wear that doesn't require paying an arm and a leg for alterations, this is the place for you. Selection is not that great for these very small sizes, but I have purchased many gala dresses here (and a fraction of the regular price). This location also carries a good amount of Joseph Ribkoff, Frank Lyman and Katherine Barclay. Although they usually start at size 8. So great for normal sized people, but not for those wee like me :( I will be the first to admit that many items at Laura/Melanie Lyne are matronly and frumpy, but they also have some more fashionable pieces (although I guess "fashionable" is in the eye of the beholder). I go here often so I can swipe up those pieces at a good price. They have fitting rooms both at the front and at the back of the store. There are washrooms at the back (in with the fitting rooms). This Laura/Melanie Lyne is in a strip mall, so there is a lot of free parking.

I love Old Navy for cheap casual bumming around clothes! This location is large. Lots of price verification machines throughout the store. Lots of fitting rooms. And they have washrooms. I did well scoring Canada-themed t-shirts at cheap prices. I didn't have anything I truly needed to buy during this store visit, but I did see a roller skate t-shirt that I have loved ever since I saw it a few months back. My willpower does kick in now and again. Considering that I did buy three t-shirts on this trip, I took a pass on getting the roller skate one. I'll live. This store was bright and pleasant. There were decent prices and tons of selection. The cashout lineup seemed to be moving nicely. What wasn't pleasant was a woman in a minivan who parked behind my car just as I got into my car. She wanted to pull through and ended up honking at me. I'm sorry, but I need my GPS to guide me around the city. I am under no obligation to move immediately and I need time to figure out my next destination as a tourist. And, where are your manners? Who honks in a parking lot when you want to pull through a parking spot and are impatient about it? Oh, rude you, that's who. That was a first for me. My windows were open. I put my hand out to signal that I was parked. She ended up straightening her minivan, got out of it with her herd of kids, and headed into Old Navy. I was proud that I showed restraint. For a moment, I thought that flipping her the bird was appropriate. However, stooping down to her level doesn't make this situation any better. I feel for her kids. Her behaviour is hopefully not inherited by them when they become drivers. (221)

In fact, Decathlon only opened its first store in Canada last year (2018) in Brossard, QC. Their prices are fairly low and all their items are their own branded stuff, so don't go expecting any Adidas, Nike, or Under Armour, lol. I see it as sort of the Ikea of sporting goods. They had really cheap sportswear. I saw shirts and shorts going for $5-7. Obviously, they had clothes that cost more as well. They had lots of inexpensive yoga and weight lifting accessories too. They had lots of sporting equipment like skis, bikes, rackets, hockey sticks, basketball nets, etc. The store is really big, brightly lit and well organized. There's a cafe inside run by Think Lunch. From what I saw, selection was limited and on the pricey side. There's an indoor basketball court in the store, and a friend of mine told me that if you sign up for their membership, which is free, you can book their court for free. I don't play basketball, but if you do, you have a free place to play year-round, which is pretty cool. The store is in a big strip mall. It's right next to Giant Tiger and will be next to Adonis, which is being built at the time of the writing of this review. Same strip mall as Food Basics, Dollar Tree and Party City. Lots of free parking.

I went on YouTube to see how to properly size myself but realized from reading info online that I might be better off visiting a specialty bra boutique for fitting and consult since it seems size varies by manufacturer. I found out about Brachic via Google search but then a friend of mine also mentioned them so we decided to go together for a visit. We were cheerfully greeted by the staff and asked if it was our first time to the shop. Then we were asked what we were looking for. I was introduced to my fitter Maryanne who was just lovely. She took me to a private room where my concerns and taste in bras was discussed and then she brought a selection of bras. I tried several on to narrow choice of style and support level and I ended up choosing 2 bras. The price point is on the high end but this is a garment you wear daily and after this fitting I honestly can say that the foundation you wear makes all the difference not only to how your clothes fit but to how you physically feel better with a proper fitting, supportive bra! It is so worth every penny! It boosted my confidence to see how nicely my shirts fit with the right bra and to be able to wear a tank top again feels amazing. The ladies told me how to properly care for the bra so it lasts a long time and gave such helpful tips. This is a fantastic shop and I will be back to get more bras. It also feels great to support a local Ottawa business!

Instead of coming up with solutions or offering to order something in for me, she was insulting and rude and made a comment about how with breasts as large as mine, my options were limited and I shouldn't be so picky!!! She was probably an A cup herself. I wish specialty bra stores hired larger breasted women to be part of their staff so they could actually have empathy for their clients. After she could not find anything suitable for me, she looked visibly exasperated and when I walked out of the fitting room and the store, she did not even say goodbye. I will NEVER return.
