Surprisingly I was able to snag an appointment with Michael for the same day, and went in with absolutely no idea what I wanted, or could even do with my hair. And OH MY GOD did Mike deliver!! I parted with my length and went for the big chop, one that more-so fits my line of work and two kid lifestyle. To top it off, the positive energy that I felt as soon as I walked through the front door was unlike any other, and we had so much to talk about through the entirety of the appointment! The past couple of days have been absolutely amazing, and my self esteem has shot back through the roof. Well sometimes life is kind and you find a cool comfortable salon and a Stylist that is not good, not average.. but is 100% an Expert Stylist. That is what I found (thankfully!) when I walked into Bixels Studios. I was greeted very warmly as soon as I walked in the door by a friendly guy who walked up to me before I even made it to the counter! I knew that this guy knew his stuff by the way he automatically touched my hair and knew exactly what cut would work with my fine hair - he also noted my personal style and was so easy to talk too! This friendly guy is Jake, the Owner of the salon. He makes you feel comfortable and secure because of his confidence and way of cutting is so expertly done! Is he pricey? Yep. But remember the aforementioned squirrel hairstyle that made you cry...? Well there is NO CRYING in Bixels Studio! Even tho I LOVED my cut, I called and asked if we could make an adjustment.. and he was so nice about it and did not charge me extra. I was eventually talked into trying this hair studio and everyone was right Alicia is amazing, my haircuts are always perfect. I have to schedule way in advance, because everyone is lining up for this place, but whenever I go, I know the hair will come out perfect and I'll have a great time. Alicia is friendly and just runs a good business. My wife's hair is always perfect too, she gets it colored and everything, always looks great. Obviously, the overall atmosphere is welcoming and professional and we love how we look and feel when we leave. But it's the things that are beyond the superficial that keep us coming back. The owner, Trish, is a true professional not only is she well trained but she makes sure her entire staff is trained in all the latest techniques and trends. I trust them with my thick curly hair and have no reservations about sending family and friends with thinner hair, hair with different textures or for corrective color. When they tell me my hair isn't conducive to a particular style or product, I believe them. The best advertisement is my hair looking great. I once was seated next to a client with black hair (box dye), I head the stylist explain the risks of going from an unknown dark dye to a platinum color. Those included unpredictable color variations and that it would take at least three visits to minimize any breakage. Looking at the before and after pics was amazing! Hair care is an art and a science and there is no place I trust more than Tryst and their wonderful staff.
