Whether you're a dealer or just a customer in need of notary services forget the rest because Brimmers is the best! For dealers that means real time processing of titlework. Why use a messenger to just send documents to Penndot than wait 6 weeks while it sits in someone's in bin up there? Brimmers will process the majority of transactions themselves in real time. Drop off and come back a few hours later to actual registration cards. For other transactions; weight changes, mileage discrepancy, etc they will messenger up to Penndot for you. Their fees are very reasonable too. For customers buying/selling cars themselves, address changes, registering a car, etc they also got you covered in real time. They have a few bilingual clerks and are very knowledgeable in all aspects of title work. On the negative Brimmers can get very busy. Be prepared with all your documents and proof of insurance as not to cause further delays. Saturdays tend to be the worst. Traffic as of lately on Harrisburg Pike with all the new shopping center construction is a hot mess and nearly impossible to turn left when exiting. In addition to the services Brimmers provides there's also a Penndot photo center right next door. It's a smaller center and only for photos (you must already have your camera card) but it's usually not crowded and very convenient. Be sure to check their website for hours for each service before your visit. Keep in mind Brimmers notary and the Brimmers Photo Center may not always have the same hours, as one is part of the DMV. read more

Hands down the most pleasant experience I've EVER had with motor vehicle paper work! I just transferred my Maryland car title and registration to Pennsylvania, I was dreading it for weeks. Yes, literally weeks. In Maryland I have spent entire mornings and afternoons (taking time off work) to sit at DMV. Here at Brimmer, I walked right in, expecting a wait I came prepared with a book and magazine, and was immediately helped by a very nice young woman. If you're a young driver or an adult whose beginning to drive, and your ready to attempt your driver's licensing examination, do yourself the favor and avoid scheduling your driver's examination at the Lancaster DL Center. There's two major problems that this particular center, which can be a setback towards achieving your goals to passing the exam. The first major problem is the lack of decent customer service. The driver's examiners often portray surly and impertinent behaviors that could throw you off, especially when you try to get clarification with the directions that they give you. It was shocking to me that such negativity could ever be acceptable, and even more saddening when it's mostly teenage drivers that are being presented with such unprofessionalism from adults who're supposed to know much better. The second major problem is the lack of quality in their parallel parking spot. The parallel parking spot is has an outlandish layout that I've ever seen, and experienced, with any parking spot around the area. Next to the parallel parking pad lays a small dip, which can throw many people off, as you think that you hit the curb once proceeding onto the spot. As a result, your vehicle will stall and it will have a hard time trying to get into the spot. On the opposite side of the parallel parking pad lays a large concrete slab, which is supposed to represent the curb. What's strange about this is that there's already an already existing curb, next to the concrete slab. What's wrong about this is that if you go up and over the slabs, you have a great chance of your tires getting stuck between the concrete slab and the actual curb. The only positive staff at the Lancaster DL Center are the ID Photographers. At least, they have the professionalism and the curtesy that the rest of the staff unfortunately doesn't possess. I would greatly recommend either the York or Harrisburg DL Centers, to take your driver's licensing exam. If you've already scheduled your exam at the Lancaster DL Center, I strongly advise that you cancel your exam and reschedule at another location. read more

Most enjoyable DMV experience ever! Yep, that's right, I just put enjoyable and DMV in the same sentence. It is possible! I was in and out of the photo center in less than 10 minutes. There was no wait at all. As soon as I got my number, I was called; I didn't even get to sit down! The photo technician was so patient with me. He let me take about 4 pictures, even though I still end up picking the first one haha Overall, my experience was great! Everyone I encountered was friendly, genuine, and you can tell that they enjoy what they do. read more

I tried to register and title a snowmobile at Brimmers on Harrisburg Pike Lancaster. The notary at the counter told me that I did not have the paper work to perform these functions. I then went to another notary who took the time to contact DCNR on the phone while I was there and got instructions on how to file the paper work for title and registration. She then efficiently made copies of the paperwork needed and processed the form to move forward. Afterword I returned to Brimmers and told Trina (the self identified manager) what had happened. She had no apologies and no interest in the details or what went wrong. When I told her I would not be doing any business in the future she had no concern or care. From this experience I feel the Harrisburg office does not have the expertise or customer service to be in the notary business. read more

I went there to resister my 1970 chevy truck restored to original cond, but was turned away denied service because the vehicle has has crome wheels and a two tone paint job. And yes young lady chevy did have two tone paint from the factory that year. I think the person at the lancaster office enjoy shooting me down. Also didn't offer any ideas for regestration and it's certantly not an altered or specialty vehicle. Thanks for a hard time. I'll get some spray cans of and paint over the 3 grand paint job. read more
