Another customer there at the time said that they were asked that first. They were lucky, I'm out $40.

Awesome! Having just moved from out of state, and being newly introduced to Pennsylvania's weird…read moreregistration transfer process, I had no idea where to begin. If you're not familiar with the process, first you get your vehicle's VIN number traced by a mechanic or PennDOT authorized notary, transfer your registration over and receive your plates/registration, and then go back to the mechanic to get your car inspected. Depending on how you choose to approach this process, you could be driving between the DMV and a garage a few times, I can't even imagine how awful it would be if you chose to obtain your PA driver's license in the same day. Abel transferred my girlfriend's registration over to PA, issued her plates and registration, and had everything done within 20 minutes. How easy! Sure, we paid a tiny bit more than we would had we done everything ourselves. But with our hectic work schedules, it isn't worth it. Highly recommend!
