    Family friendly spot.

Flying by on 20? Turn in to Brimfield, go past the handsome barn and the adorable 1940s GMC truck, and find yourself on a fairground, only better: instead of miles of walking, no ice, massive crowds, and garbage cans full of flies, you get a winery with grape vines and wine slushees (at least in the summer). This is how a trip to the fair should be! BW also had a food trucks with homemade salsa and chips, and many seating options. Since the swings were already taken, the wine barrel bar stools made a great perch. If we had arrived later, the tables in the yard would've been a clean backup. The Friday night we arrived, classic cars were pouring in, a local DJ was playing doo-wop, and it was a positive, even family-friendly setting, while still a great spot to let your hair down. The winery doesn't have tastings or flights. BOOO!!! But all wasn't lost since the hostess let me have a couple samples. Heather and our other host (sorry I missed her name) were positive all night, and Counting Time and Brimfield Rush both lived up to their tasty descriptions. I brought home a bottle of each. Of the three slushees, the rosé was perfect for a summer night, but the red and white would have probably been lovely. Antique fairs are on these grounds once or twice a year, but any other weekend it's a great escape. The wines go dry to sweet, the folks are friendly on both sides of the bar, and I can't wait to return.

Very friendly staff and it's a really nice place to visit, just wish the flight glasses were slightly bigger like some other vineyards

We made our way through classic New England small towns with a lovely fall view at every turn. For our first stop, we sampled wine and cheese at Hardwick winery while also being welcomed and lead through the historic main house by the owner himself. After a quaint lunch in Hardwick center (a cafe in the post office!), the farmer of Round Table Farm's creamery gave us an educational walkthrough of the facility and "caves". We sample their cheese products and met the cute goats. The trip was well arranged, nicely paced, and filled with knowledge along the way. Scarlett has a passion for her region that she was eager to share with pep and appreciation. Bernie was a pure gentleman and a smooth driver when the roads occasionally became windy or bumpy. Both were sincere and charming in their roles on the tour. Not only would I recommend taking a trip, I'm 1000% going on more. What a great day they made for us!!

Lorraine's knowledge of the area was extensive and she got us INCREDIBLE deals on flights and hotels. She was even able to accommodate special requests such as needing exit rows (my husband is very tall and needs the legroom for a long flight). As someone who had never used a travel agent before and always thought it may be cost prohibitive, I was wrong! Lorraine was able to keep us under budget so that we had extra money to do little excursion tours to the Roman Forum, the Vatican, and Pompeii (all bucket list places for me!). She also was able to advise when tours weren't really necessary - our trip to Capri was a good example - we were able to easily tour the island ourselves and take a ferry. Above all, she made it so easy - presenting options clearly and booking everything quickly. The itinerary she gave us to follow was top-notch and had all necessary contact info on it. I really can't say enough good things about Lorraine - she made my dream trip a reality!

From the moment we started, she brought an incredible energy--warm, engaging, and genuinely fun. You can tell she loves what she does, and it makes all the difference. Her storytelling was top-notch, blending fascinating historical insights about Newport with insider knowledge of the local food scene. The tour included six stops, each offering a great variety of delicious food. What really stood out was how Angel wove in the stories behind each restaurant--she knew the owners, their backgrounds, and what makes each place special. It made every stop feel personal and meaningful, not just another tasting. Angel has that rare ability to make everyone feel included and connected. She kept the group engaged the entire time, answered every question with enthusiasm, and added so many thoughtful touches along the way. It felt less like a tour and more like being shown around by a knowledgeable (and very entertaining) friend who knows all the best spots in town. If you're visiting Newport and want a fun, delicious, and insightful way to get to know the city, this is the way to do it. We honestly can't imagine a better introduction to Newport--or a better guide than Angel. Highly, highly recommend!
