This is a hard thing for me to review…read more Initially, I felt like this was a great place. I had a great counselor and then she left and got replaced with someone who I also liked but reflecting back I see where things went wrong. I think Dustin did the best he could with what he knew but was maybe doing to others what he felt worked best for him. And that's great, but not everyone is just like him. There are a variety of different ways to help people and if something isn't working, maybe try something else? As far as what they provide, they have AM and PM IOP and SOP which makes it work for people who have jobs during the day or night. They also have 1x a week individual therapy with your counselor. This is one of the better IOPs I have been to (and I've been to a lot ) They don't take me back as they want me to go to trauma treatment inpatient first. Unfortunately, inpatient and I don't work well together. However, I did follow up with my first trauma therapist and have been seeing the same therapist since (for 3 years now) and I think that makes up for the 30 day inpatient criteria that they only allow. With my therapist, I have wayyy more coping skills under my belt. It really made sense when my therapist told me that he doesn't start treating trauma from the earliest childhood trauma. First you develop the coping skills to deal, and then kinda start from the most recent trauma and work backwards to your more severe trauma. That was one of the things said that gave me this "aha moment". With that said, I felt like Dustin's approach at the time (over 3 years ago) was to get things out as soon as possible and talk about it which clearly didn't work well for me. I guess that would be my 2 suggestions is to consider the amount of trauma therapy I have taken in the past 3 years, going regularly (sometimes 2-3 times a week) and substituting that for the required inpatient that they require. My other suggestion would be to not force someone to spill their beans on trauma just because it worked for Dustin. It caused me to spiral, BADLY. I didn't ever talk about certain things or ever deal with things so it wasn't good for me. It's been over 3 years and I know Dustin was new at the time and maybe things have changed and I knew his intentions were good. It sucks bc sometimes my substance abuse goes up and trauma is not the focus or vice versa and I need to go somewhere that will accept certain medications I'm on, and unfortunately a lot of IOPs in the area won't take me bc of certain meds I am on. But they won't take me which sucks because my substance abuse needs focus at the moment. I guess it's just not the place for me

I'm betting they pay a service for fake bot reviews. My son got enrolled into their services and there was NO ONE there when he arrived for his first appointment at 1:30 pm on a Thursday. He was locked out. Yes, he has been addicted to drugs and so has no phone and really nothing at this point- he just got out of rehab. When the "clinician" "Cherrelle" arrived after 2pm she snapped at him "the appointment was at 2!". With that attitude and what I've seen this far, there is zero chance for a productive relationship there now. She obviously hates her job and it shows. Zero stars, not recommended.

Then my confidentiality got broken somehow when one of her BFFs who was a CPS worker happened to get in my life and they talked about me without any form of consent. In fact, half of the shit were lies or exaggerated info and Sophie took it upon herself to not believe me. That was when I exited that practice. I also remember when I was pregnant, I wanted to get off Valium due to the effects to pregnancy. I had been on Valium for over 20 years at that time. They dropped me SO fast and unsafely. I was prescribed 10mg 3x a day which is quite high. Then they detoxed me in about 4 days. It was ROUGH. I had major panic attacks to the point of driving to them begging them to do a slower taper or give me a one time dose. They wouldn't do so. They also won't see you without a card on file or paying first and they charge you for every little damn thing. I don't know why after pregnancy and birth I came back to her. But I'm glad with a psychiatrist that is wonderful.

These MD doctors dont care about the whole person and they're not educated in anything but pushing their scripts. They just want to stay on their "medicines" with no end result or goal.
