I called to let them know that I have a Groupon, and they were happy to make an appointment. As we came in, we were greeted by the front desk and was directed immediately to our room. The interior is clean and ambiance was very relaxing with dimmed lights. We got the couples massage and we were both happy with the service. The massage was very relaxing and hit all the right spots, and they removed all my knots, and we both felt refreshed after the massage. Overall, I will come back here again. Oh, and it's cheaper when you pay cash. They have ample parking and are located at Plaza Sobrante.

Like many others on this yelp chain, I have been coming to this place for a decade. It has recently…read morechanged to "Ripple Spa" and apparently it's under new management. The woman, her daughter, and her dog were there. The dog was very loud and barked a lot. Apparently I led the charge because when I got there, there was no one - and in the matter of the hour, I counted four people coming in, and I stopped counting at six interruptions in my massage when she had to go and answer the phone, talk to people in the lobby, get people settled in another room. And every time she answered the phone she told people to come down because it's not busy.... I could have forgiven all of that, and I might have even come back because historically the price has been right. The $50 massage, $10 tip, not bad for someone with no Massage training. But when I was leaving, she stopped me and asked me for $30 tip. She pointed to a new sign that they have that says that a good massage is $20 tip and a great massage is $30... and I'm wondering why would I pay 60% on a substandard massage that was interrupted 6+ times... I leave both excellent and not so excellent reviews here. Unfortunately, today was not so excellent. Would definitely not recommend because you'll be incredibly disappointed, if not incensed! :(

It felt like she was just going through the motions. Not really hitting the right spots. The quality of the massage did not match the price. My experience was worth $50-$60 if that. It was cold in the room but I noticed they had a small space heater in the room which helped. Until I heard someone come in. She stopped the massage to help them then proceeded to unplug and take the space heater out to put in another room I'm guessing. Which I'm sure it took up some of my massage time. As we finished she left the room and I got my things together and started to walk out. I saw her helping someone as I was leaving and she stopped me to ask for a tip. Although I feel like the massage didn't deserve one, I tipped her a little because she asked.... Almost a week has passed now and I have already had 2 strains in my back. I am 25, this does not happen. She really fucked up my back. I love to support small businesses but in my opinion, if you are going to be in the holistic healing field....make sure you know what you're doing.

So far I've had 3 massages here. 2 were from a man therapist and one from a woman therapist. The man gives medium-hard pressure which I like a lot. He hits all the pain points for me - deep into my traps and upper back. The woman massage therapist was very sweet and had these really soft, squishy elbows - which felt quite nice to be honest, but it's not the pressure that gets into my muscles that I really wanted. That time I left feeling kind of disappointed. I made sure to ask the front desk for a strong pressured massage and she recommended the male therapist. The young lady at the front desk is super sweet and I felt welcomed. Tips - it's a no frills massage place - don't expect a spa experience - expect a solid, therapeutic massage for your pains. Specify over the phone the pressure you want so that you won't be disappointed, and they will match you with an appropriate therapist. The massage is probably 4.5 out of 5 for the male therapist 2.5 out of 5 for the female therapist, the experience of easy parking, easy to make, same day appointment, good customer service to get the type of massage I wanted, price to value - 5 out of 5.

A sign (not a human) said remove all clothes but underwear and get under the sheet, face down. So I did that. Then a man walked in and indicated that I should take off my bra, and sort of helped me, not in an unprofessional way, take it off. I was covered and face down on the table, he just unclipped the back and pulled it out from under me. Then he left. A couple of minutes later my massage therapist came in. I wasn't sure if it was the same person or not since my face was in the cradle of the table. I asked for a female therapist, but really didn't care. But I couldn't tell right away because she just started working on my body thru the sheet. Great! But no introduction, how much pressure do you like? What hurts? She just started! I came because my back and shoulders HURT and I wanted someone with a solid and strong touch. She had that! She used a fast and firm motion. I mean, it was a bit jolting. But honestly, I needed the deep massage, so despite the roughness and lack of familiarity, the job was getting done. She finally spoke and asked if the pressure was ok. I said yes, and was happy to finally know she was a woman. Next she pulled the sheet back and squirted lotion or oil on my back - no warning. She tossed the bottle on the sheet by my legs. No big deal, just not relaxing like I'm used to at more spendy places. A bit later she left for a few minutes and brought out the hot rocks! I love those and didn't know it was part of my package. Again she moved them very quickly, which isn't very relaxing, but it was fine. Again, I was there to eliminate pain, not a full relaxation massage. Since this is getting long, overall, while not what I'm used too as far as a refined massage experience, it got the job done and for an hour massage with hot stones for under $100 with tip, that's a good deal. I'd come back for emergency pain relief!
