Probably one of the worst run organizations. They have staff that are rude, difficult, unsafe and…read morehard to understand. My mother was verbally and physically assaulted by a staff member there. They add services to the invoices and provide no detail even after asking repeatedly what they are for. The building needs a major overhaul (they have had major floods due to the lack of maintenance) and the activities are extremely limited. They rarely take them out and if they do it's to the dollar store or to just drive around and not get out - less liability I guess. Very little mental simulation - less work for them. I met my Mom for a meal and by accident I hit a drink and it fell to the floor. NO ONE came over to assist me to clean it up or my Mom. One person threw a napkin at my face. Do not take your loved ones here.

It had a homey feel, the staff was kind and the residents looked well cared for and comfortable. Management communicates well and is always responsive to my inquiries. The aides that work with Mom are phenomenal - caring and respectful. The food is good and there is always an option to order off a menu if the resident doesn't care for the daily entree. Mom particularly enjoys the seafood, pizza and chicken wings! She attends daily exercise class and looks forward to the musical entertainment and bingo. Her laundry is done and her apartment is cleaned for her. I find she is more socially engaged and less lonely than she was living at home alone. I rest easy knowing Mom is safe and well cared for at Waltham Crossings. It was a hard move to make, but I know I chose the right facility for her.

The staff are unprofessional and give the impression that they could care less about the patients. They schedule appointments and then give incorrect information to other staff members that need to attend. There is not enough staff to cover patients that are there and they are very quick to remind you of that. Just one example, when someone needed to use the bathroom and the staff were told because the patient needed help, after 15 minutes the staff was reminded and still no one came. How long do they expect someone to wait? The staff tell you what they think you want to hear, but if you call them out on it, they become snippy. I would recommend that no one ever put a loved one in that type of environment. They should be shut down.
