I gave Gary a call for a home inspection quote five years ago when I bought my first house. I…read moreremember saying to him "we have a quote from another guy, but he's a little more expensive than you are." Gary's response was something along the lines of "that guy is a little less expensive, and he's really good. I'm a little more expensive because I'm the best." If you're a home buyer, then you need Gary. He works for you and he takes his job very seriously. He is there to check every little thing in your house; every crack, every outlet, every window, every faucet, every corner, etc. Gary will give you a thorough run down of your investment and he will give you a fair, objective analysis. Keep in mind that it is a conflict of interest to hire your home inspector to do contracting work on your house within a certain time period. Because of this, I am not able to hire Gary to do the actual work that I need done. That is my only regret in my decision to hire Gary to do my latest home inspection. I wasn't aware of this law when I initially hired Gary so I wish I had hired him to do the larger projects instead. However, I am seriously considering delaying these projects until I'm able to call Gary to do the work. To put it simply, I have 100% total confidence and faith in Gary's work. I cannot recommend his services enough.

Had a home inspection done in 2005. I found Gary to have a very high value of himself that didn't…read morenecessarily come across in his work. Gary lied about the time he started. Stating he was there for an hour and had already completed the outside work. (He didn't realize I worked directly across the street and saw him arrive). He pointed out that the detached garage needed major work (valid) and that he could tear it down and build a new one for 30 thousand. I was a little put off that a home inspector could/should be offering services. Note/ the garage was retrofitted a year later for 6,000 with No issue. He was thorough in the review, but rather rude to the owner, myself, and the real estate agent.

Charles was referred to me by a friend. I'd never considered a Pre-Inspection, as I thought…read moreinspections happened after an offer was made on a home. Charles pointed out the value of this pre-inspection, as I am considering selling in another year or three. That said, now I can begin to prioritize the fixes and plans over a period of time. Charles was thorough and straightforward about his findings, taking photos of each focus area, directing me to the title of the expert who should be contacted to work on each remedy. For instance, he found a little moisture in the basement. Instead of just telling me to look to mold remediation, he pointed out that that expert ought to be a basement sealing specialist. This provided an opportunity to reach out over a period of time, especially considering that the challenge might be drainage above-ground, including eaves, instead of just within the confines of the basement. He knows challenges are often beyond the entry point. Charles was low-key, reports were simple and photos were going to be pertinent for a long time to come. I noticed that some inspectors claim huge reports with incredible details. Charles' hit all the critical points, yet avoided the fluff that can get in the way. I am old enough to have been around the block. Charles is committed, trustworthy and gave me what I needed to plan and budget ahead. You will appreciate his input and professional approach as I did. I'm on my way.
