With small class sizes and true 1:2 adult to child ratios, they are able to take such good care of every child and we are so grateful to them for helping our child become the sweet, funny, chatty, charming, outgoing, kind and thoughtful little toddler / little boy he is becoming. Their structure (meals, snacks, walks, naps, playtime), programs (art work, language, sign language, music, incoming specialty teachers) and superior level of care and concern are unmatched. Our son has learned so much from Mirna, Yurkenia, Rebecca, Lily and the outside teachers that come in on a regular basis. He often surprises us with a song, sign or knowledge of a color or animal. We highly recommend Little Daydreamers to any parents. Your child will be safe, loved and will learn a great deal!

This has been the perfect place for him. They make sure everything is safe and secure and follow protocol securely during these unusual times. Overall this has been the perfect place for him to go before attending k3.

But because of my experience it only took me minutes to see if the place was worth it. I am so happy to say this place exceeded my expectations. Things I loved : -very professional and loving teachers - my son LOVED this place ( he would beg me to take him on the weekends) - my son learned so much mainly social emotionally , I was really impressed ! - clean and safe - my son constantly brought home work he did - child centered creative play Things I did not like - they only take kids 2yrs and above :( I can not express how thankful I am I found this place. My son is entering Prek this year and he is ready to start thanks to these ladies. I, on the other hand , am very anxious because I know it will be hard finding a place as good as Rainbowroom.

This is a warm, safe, child-centric place. It is amazing after lunch to see the children settle down for quiet time and then later see them go out to Bennett Park as a group. When a child has a problem they help the child solve it. They are especially good at defusing conflicts between children. The rules for the children are reasonable and clear and consistent. Rainbow Room does not always take the best behaved and easiest kids. They knowingly take on some true challenges. The staff are communicators. When there is a problem they talk about it with the children (especially) and with the parents. I think this is the key to their success. They perform beautifully in emergencies! Our level of trust in Rainbow Room is off the charts. There is an emphasis on crafts projects and providing an enriched environment. Rainbow Room doesn't promise to make kids smart and competition is deemphasized. Nonetheless in our small group 2 kids tested into city wide talented and gifted programs. Not too shabby!

Both of my daughters were at Little Jewel, one from 1.5-3 years old and the other from 4 months-3 years old. To reiterate what some of the other reviewers said, Little Jewel helped us through several milestones in our kids' development including potty training, which was huge. My kids learned Spanish, their letters and numbers, and how to play/socialize with others. They also formed strong emotional ties with the caretakers, so we were sad when we had to leave for 3K. I highly recommend Little Jewel!!!

We considered a few daycare centers during our recent move to Inwood, and chose Little Jewel…read morebecause its proprietor, Cindy, was so warm and friendly and just gave me a really good feeling. She started the place after being dissatisfied with options for her own child, who is now an amazing and adorable precocious and sweet 3yo who helps her mom acclimate new babies - and their parents. Clearly Cindy's doing something right as a mom, and that spills over into her business as well. Her staff also seemed really vibrant and caring during that first visit, as they engaged the kids in yoga poses, dances, and magic tricks. They have proven to be phenomenal - totally loving and attentive, with an inexhaustible energy and patience. The infants and toddlers spend most of the time in separate areas, but there is still a lot of interaction, including outdoors, and all of the staff seem to know my son really well. If he's upset when I start to leave him at morning drop-off, they know exactly which toy to pull out to make him smile. Like most daycares in the area, Little Jewel is located in a converted one-bedroom apartment. But it doesn't feel as claustrophobic as some of the other ones I visited. It feels spacious and airy, with lots of nice, sturdy, wooden furniture; natural toys; and cute decor. They provide a small breakfast, lunch and snacks, and I suspect the hot lunch is probably the best meal our little one eats each day. And they have been willing to accommodate our little vegetarian. Our previous daycare was large and structured, almost like a school, with set schedules and weekly lesson plans, so I was a little apprehensive about the more laid-back routine at Little Jewel. They do have plenty of activities, they're just not documented to every detail, and they may change them up depending on the weather that day, or the children's individual interests. I do get the feeling my 2yo is learning a lot and his language skills (including Spanish - hooray!) and imaginative play have skyrocketed. He's also gaining lots of independence, as he helps in the kitchen and with clean-up, etc. I appreciate the individual attention he gets, and the love that is clearly lavished upon him - including a line-up for kisses as he leaves almost every day. I've recommended it to several other parents, and they all seem equally satisfied.

It is evident that she really cares about the happiness and development of the babies and their parents. The staff at PSD are also a delight to see daily: they open the front door and welcome our baby every morning with huge warm smiles and hugs. Our baby LOVES seeing the caretakers, and she basically shoos me away with a "bye-bye" so she can begin her day at school. The environment is always wonderful. It is located in an apartment space so it feels like a home, informal, welcoming, and calm, yet also very professional. There are two music classes a week, art work (today we were sent home with an adorable handprint snowflake), sensory activities, neighborhood walks, grocery shopping trips, and ample free play where the babies learn to socialize. All in all, I highly recommend this daycare. It's a hidden gem that all the moms in the neighborhood know, but sadly doesn't have as much social media presence that it deserves. Great job Rosalind, Alta, Rhaysa, Jaimilie, Alexandra, and Elsa!
