Why do I get the impression that any business to do with driving has a owner with a miserable attitude? Mrs. Sandra has a great deal of knowledge, but if she doesn't learn how to present it in a more professional way, without being rude and impatient, she will not succeed. There's nothing professional about her approach. If you're fifteen-eighteen put up a review, you don't need to deal with pathetic businesses. If you complain she'll just put up excuses and won't admit her lack of a decent attitude. You pay these business hard earned money, get the respect you deserve. read more

I would not allow my child to ever take lessons from this driving instructor. This person was rude and instructed the child he was educating to honk at a vehicle because he felt he was cut off(on his way to Dunkin Donuts). I feel that this is teaching the student aggressive driving patterns and encouraging possible road rage incidents. Also, the fact was that he was not cut off. read more

I can't say enough about how great my experience has been at Brights Driving School. The fact you can book ahead your driving lessons on line makes it so easy to plan. My son had to transfer to Brights from another school because trying to get driving lessons scheduled was a nightmare at the other school. My son has had driving lessons with Sandra and Peggy and has found them to be incredibly kind making the lessons to be low stress. Brights Driving School is a great business to deal with and will provide your child a great learning experience getting ready to get their license. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I cannot believe I sent my child here. They have been very unprofessional during this pandemic. My child has told me that up until recently they we're having two kids in a car to save time. Sandra has a lot of knowledge about driving but her communication and people skills are executed poorly. She is so rude not to only the kids but the parents as well. Not to mention the fact that she brings her dog with her in the car. There was many times when my child would come back from her lesson to tell me that Sandra would leave her in the car while she was doing her errands. Sandra is a very rude. I asked for a copy of the Certificate of Parental Curriculum Completion and she refused to give me a copy! When I emailed her a second time after two weeks, she sent me a nasty email saying I shouldn't expect her to just DROP EVERYTHING for me. Okay, so after reviewing my review of the company Brights sent me a letter to ask me to remove it!! They claimed I never tried to call, I did at 3:40 am when I got home, and that I wasn't apologetic, I was very. Excuse me if my mother was dying and was up till 5am. A one day driving lesson was the least of my concern. Also in the letter she claimed she was her waiting and after 10 mins went to get gas. On the phone she said she was running late and was stopping to get gas. I'm not the only one I know that has had A LOT of trouble with this school. Sorry I'm not going to remove the review because what I said was the truth and they were very rude. I have now had my license for three years and I have decided to write about my experience after a colleague at work and I were talking about how we both went though Brights and had the most unpleasant experiences. To start, I took my road test three times, twice through Brights. The road lessons were awful as Sandra would constantly swear and demean me for how awful of a driver I was and would constantly say I would never get my license if I continued to "act this way". She repeatedly would put tape over the windshield so I would have to adjust my position to see over the tape and told me I wasn't "doing it right". This is hazardous and obstructing my view and when I asked her to remove it she told me I would never learn how to "look out my windshield properly" whatever that means. Throughout my lessons Sandra would have me stop at her house so she could go in and I would wait in the car upwards of a half an hour. My coworker said the same and that one time she had to go pick up her dog from the groomers and another time they went through the Dunkin Donuts drivethrough. I find this wildly unprofessional. Upon taking my first driving test she told me it started at 5. I get to Brights, and every single person is there and I am the last one to sign in and this girl asks me why I'm late, and I ask what do you mean? She responds that everyone else had been told it started at 4. I then waited for the next 3 hours to take my test filled with anger over how Sandra had PURPOSELY told me the wrong time. My time is finally up and I get in the car and we go to pull out of the lot, as soon as we get to the place where the test is, the instructor told me I had failed. I asked why and she told me it was due to "anxiety" and how someone like me shouldn't be allowed on the road. Sandra tells me I am not allowed to take the road test again until I pay for three more driving lessons. I take these lessons, get another road test, and it is the same instructor with Sandra. The entire test was completed this time and I still failed because "I managed to hit everything in sight" which is untrue. I had hit nothing at all on that test and it was ridiculous that this was made up. Sandra tried to get me to take another three lessons, which is nonsense because at this point I had taken more lessons than is required. I took one more and all I got in that hour was insults hurled at me and how terrible of a driver I was and how I'll never amount to anything. I start crying and Sandra says "oh toughen up, if you can't take a few insults then you're weaker than I had previously thought and I already thought very little." I never spoke to Sandra again after that and took my third test directly through the registry. The instructor was cautious because I had already had two failures on my permit and afterwards she asked how I had failed twice because I managed to do everything perfectly and better than a lot of people she had seen that day. I know Sandra will probably read this and think I'm in the wrong and she's the "victim" of a bad review but I just want to say that sometimes when I'm in the car I still think about her yelling in the back of my mind and she has genuinely emotionally scarred me. I truly do not hate anyone, I work in retail and would never write a bad review on purpose because I know how they can affect businesses, but I personally would like to say f*** Brights and thank you to the Olbash driving school in Georgetown for letting me take a few lessons there and telling me they actually have quite a few people transfer from Brights to there because of how repugnant Sandra is. 0 stars. Called on 4/17 to alert Sandra that we would be completing classes elsewhere. She said she would fax the documentation of what was completed to the new school. Then 2 days later she responded to an email saying it was still in process since "NOW everything had to be entered into the RMV computer before anything else can take place." Did she not know that when we spoke 2 days earlier? Fast forward 2 more days and the 2 emails that I sent on the 19th have been ignored! Guess I'll just have to sit outside the office when they're open and wait until the info is available. Aside from shaming her behavior while instructing, I'm finding that her behavior as manager of the business is unresponsive and unprofessional. Sandbagging us to delay our efforts to change schools. Yesterday afternoon, my son passed his driving test. He is our third child to complete driver Ed classes in the area. Our older two kids attended two area schools which have since closed. Brights is still here and open for good reason. Sandra runs an excellent service. She leaves no stone unturned in her lessons. Kids and adults alike know exactly what to expect out of the driving experience. She makes certain everyone is well informed , including the parents. every step of the way. She and her staff are well qualified and provided excellent training. Scheduling driving classes is easy with the online service. Classroom times are convenient. Sandra sets up group road test days and last night even provided pizza for the kids and parents while we waited our turn. I highly recommend using this driving school. You will not be disappointed. read more

Very disorganized and unprofessional. The business doesn't even have their own phone, the phone is the owners cell phone. Now the owner, Sandra, is a complete witch. Every single driving lesson I had with her she was incredibly rude to me and whoever was in the car with me. It shows that her students despise her and are scared of her. I have heard from others that multiple people have cried during the driving lessons with her. She was constantly rude to me during lessons and was even 15 minutes late because she wanted to get breakfast. She's even made me drive to her house so she could pick things up while I was paying to get a driving lesson.The only good employees there are Peggy, who is another driving instructor, and the Secretary. They lost my information the day before I was going to take my drivers license test. She called my parents after calling me and was extremely rude and unprofessional with my father. Even when I was at the building waiting to take my license test, she wasn't confident in me passing and was discourteous. This is the cheapest driving place in my area but I would save the stress for you and your kid(s) by not choosing this place. Overall I am glad I'm done with this place (I passed my license test) and that because of my bad experience my younger sisters won't have to go through the stress of this place like I did. read more
