Quite honestly I don't typically take time to write yelp reviews, however I have such admiration and respect for this high school I feel compelled to publicly share our experience. Words I use to describe St. Johns "they know boys" and work on the entire being to create respectful, confident young men. They promote an inclusive environment and from what I have witnessed, everyone can find their niche at this high school. Whether your son is an athlete, a musician, comedian, artist or is a wiz at a rubrics cube there is a place for him at this school. My son has friends on the baseball team, the math team and in his Chinese ambassadors club. Every one of them different in their own way, yet equally good of a friend. The head master, Ed Hardiman is a well spoken, caring and dedicated educator and St Johns is extremely fortunate to have such a talented man leading their school. The professors are typically men and woman who have both teaching degrees and real life corporate knowledge. They also have Xavarian brothers who have dedicated their lives to missionary work and share amazing life experiences with our children. They teach the boys to be humble, appreciate their good fortune and to give back and serve others less fortunate. My sons closest friends will be attending fabulous colleges that include Holy Cross, Tuffs, Carnegie Melon, Amherst and he will be attending MIT. They are all leaving St. Johns confident young men prepared to take on the academic vigor of these colleges. I hope you have found this review helpful. In an education system where standards often feel diluted, RSM at Winchester location stands out as a brand that consistently delivers excellence. Their approach is structured and yet incredibly engaging--making math not only challenging but fun. One of the things I admire most is how thoughtfully teachers are vetter at RSM Winchester and how teachers are aligned with age groups their skills and personality would best be suitable. I also saw the quality in the whole setup. Each topic is offered at three levels of difficulty, allowing students to start where they feel comfortable and progress at their own pace without feeling discouraged. This flexibility ensures that every child can build confidence while being challenged appropriately. My son benefited immensely from this system--he advanced two years beyond his school math level and is now taking AP Calculus in 11th grade. The teachers--Barry, Maximo, Liliya, Olga, and many others--were exceptional. There was a sense of deep expertise combined with nurturing approach. These classes are generally three hour hands on workshops held in the college's downtown Haverhill culinary school kitchens. Faculty have been friendly, knowledgable and helpful, and the food always delicious. Each instructor has the flexibility to teach their own way so it's always a new experience. Most recently I did a Thai Street food class in which our instructor, Ploy, walked us through making a rainbow salad (with carrots, apples and a variety seasonings), Thai corn fritters, red curry with chicken (served with white rice), and a fun color changing butterfly pea limeade. Our instructor was super professional and balanced learning and the practicalities or working with non-professionals just right. Other classes I've enjoyed include Empanadas, Vietnamese street food, Indian appetizers, and chinese buns. The variety offered is amazing, and you can pick either weeknights or Saturday 10am-1pm.

I felt like I got no real support from them they they didn't give me a chance to learn a lot of the basics that an RN should know by graduation. There was one Carol Nash, person, one of the instructors who was extremely unfair to me. She even admitted that she just didn't like me as a person so she decided not to give me a chance when there was an opportunity to learn; she would never let me partake in the interesting observations or learning experiences and that went on throughout the entire time. The instructors were poor quality not very fair markers, they would have their favorites. If I wasn't highly motivated to get my RN I would have never made it. And to top it off at the very end of the last semester when I was just about to graduate one of the instructors decided me and this one other student did not have good isolation technique The entire time we were in school they never said anything about that but then the last week of school they threatened not graduate me and this one other student because the instructor didn't like my technique. So in order for us to pass we both had to pay a special tutor $100 and at the time that was a lot of money in '86 $100 a piece .Yet the tutor said that both of our sterile technique was good. They tried everything just to trip me up and few other people. I wasn't the only one who was treated poorly in that school.

Both of my kids were good students upon entering Tower School, but because Tower has small class sizes they were able to receive lots of extra attention in English, Math, and the Arts. They blossomed as readers, writers, artists, and each discovered a love of technology. Both also played sports and participated in the middle school drama program. It was wonderful to see them develop as young people, and discover what excited them at school. Our whole family made lifelong friends a Tower too. I was pleasantly surprised that the image vocational schools are given is way off the mark Not only was he allowed hands on exploratory work in about 9 fields, he was evaluated according to his interests and learning style. The teachers are strict and the administration tolerates little They expect the kids to show up and show up on time. They let the parents know everything that is going on with the student ...if they're late, absent . If your child is out of school, they follow up and expect a reason. The kids are expected to behave, keep their noses clean and respect each other What I like about the school is that they prepare them for real world. They don't baby them My son was OSHA and "WORK READY" certified and will be going on COOP in a job in his field The only down side is the lack of resources for the kids in the form of guidance. I know the guidance counselors are trying but there are no programs in the Freshman year that guide, inspire and assist the students to think of college as a possibility -not on a grand scale anyway I was in constant contact regarding the COOP programs and they seem to be in a rut, relying on a few employers for the jobs instead of trying to get as many employers on board as possible to expose the kids to all kinds of work in their field My son has had to get me involved in order to get something done or nothing gets done at all. The guidance counselors know whose parents are involved and whose aren't. So if a kid has the misfortune of having parents who don't get involved or give a crap, they have little voice If you have your child attend here, you won't be sorry. The first time I went to a Mom's Village when they were renting out a studio, I didn't know what to expect but I had felt so isolated as a new mother and wanted to work on getting a piece of myself back. I was also nervous about leaving my daughter, who was only 1 at the time, with anyone but family. I gave it a chance anyway and I am so happy I did. Never once did I worry about my daughter being safe and cared for by the childcare at the Village. The fitness classes have always pushed me and given me the variety I like- offering barre, kickboxing, HIIT, yoga, among others. The instructors are always helpful with modifications, while making sure you are getting the challenge you want/need. To have the amenities to go take a shower in peace or sit in the mommy lounge to have a hot cup of coffee while socializing without any interruptions is priceless. The community that has been built by Steph, Cindy and Lindsey can not be beat- it's mom supporting moms and enjoying this time of our lives together. I am forever grateful to have found this place.
