However, if you are a group, family or have excess baggage and are new to the area Holiday is an excellent choice. Reservations can be made on-line and asks for specific information like your flight number and complete hotel information. At the designated location someone will be waiting with your name on a sign. All of your luggage will be immediately whisked away and as you follow the gentleman the throngs of people will step back to clear a path. It is a pretty good feeling! From the airport you are driven in a clean car or van to the ship port where the cruise ships are docked. Then it is a truly memorable experience. The driver handles all of your luggage to a small dock where a gorgeous highly-polished teak motorboat is waiting for your private transfer. The boat seats about 10 and has both a covered area as well as an open-air aft. As you motor to your hotel or inn the sightseeing has already begun! From the Bay you will enter the canals of Venice. Some are quite narrow and it is interesting to watch the maneuvers to avoid other boats while enjoying the sights. When we arrived to my location the boat captain called my hotel and awaiting at the steps to the canal was someone else to take my bags across the bridge and into my lodgings. The return was a repeat - everything done on time with no worries except to look important to the other tourists by having such classy service. This is definitely arriving in class! It was something I will not forget. But the Visa charge hot today. $300 US round-trip. It was worth it but next time I will take a public water taxi to the station.
