My little boy had fallen out of his bed and needed to see a doctor. Unfortunately the driver did not show the same level of professionalism. We had booked a taxi for 2315 from the Hummingbird Cafe, Shoreham Airport. He finally arrived at 2329. In the meantime we were forced to make alternative arrangements in a hurry because the road into the airport closes for the night at 2330. On arrival he tried to telephone me, understandably upset to have lost his fare due to his lateness. I returned his call explaining what had happened. He denied being late and he became abusive calling me a liar. I subsequently emailed Adur Cabs offering this same feedback and have received no response or apology.

I was extremely disappointed with the service from Western Cars. I booked and paid for my taxi days…read morein advance, yet it arrived 40 minutes late. What frustrated me most was the repeated dishonesty. At the agreed pickup time, I called to check everything was on track and was told the driver was "three minutes away." Ten minutes later, I called again and was told he was "five minutes away." After another ten minutes, the driver finally admitted he was actually travelling from Shoreham to pick me up in Brighton and was still at least 15 minutes away. I then contacted the office, who said they would speak to the driver and call me back. They never did. To make matters worse, once I was finally picked up, the driver sped dangerously along country roads, turning an already stressful experience into an unsettling one. I would not recommend Western Cars and will certainly not be using them again.
