Most of the residents are a little younger than my parent's so my stay there was a lot like a very long cruise with parents. The residents are really interesting people and have lead quite diverse lives. It's a excellent facility with lots of activities to engage the residents. Some of the residents have cars and there are field trips with the Juniper bus for movies, shopping, church or visits to other local sites of interest. The staff is great and the food is excellent and there is an Ala Carte menu if you want something other than one of the two offerings at each meal. It's served by a wait staff in the dinning room and there are nice touches like cereal in the morning can be topped by bananas or berries depending on what is available. Now a days I'm a volunteer one day a week doing technical support to help residents with iPads, PCs, smart phones etc. Most of the staff I knew from my stay is still there. I am tremendously impressed with Juniper Village and I strongly recommend it to anyone who is considering assisted living or a respite stay.

On behalf of my family, I want to thank all staff for the care and support they have been providing for the last three months while caring for my Mom who doesn't speak English and is forgetful: Alex - for promptly addressing all our concerns related to Mom's care and comfort; and for being our dedicated volunteer interpreter :) James - for always finding time on his busy calendar to answers our questions and even to support me by sharing his personal experiences of being a caretaker of elderly parents. Janelly - the Rock! This person must be cloned. I've seen Janelly, the director of nursing, serving dinners in rooms, changing patients, helping them with toileting, consoling family members etc, etc. Janelly is a unique, genuine person, and a truly compassionate professional. Tamara - for understanding the slightest cues in my Mom's movements and what they could mean, and for attending to her with care and calling her "Babushka" (Grandma in Russian) Fumi- for always smiling to my Mom while assisting her with hygienic tasks and singing while rubbing cream on Mom's feet. I have total peace of mind when it is Fumi's shift! Mary, Christine, Mr. Sharif, Robert, Marleen, Farouk, Mike -the Chef- , Leo, Tanya and many other kind and patient staff - thank you for your care of Mom. So why only 4 stars? By all means, a few things could be improved to make the facility a high class one and a desirable destination for health improvement and long-term care. The important one is Physical Therapy. And there are times when communication could have been better and when staffing seems stretched, which affects response time and consistency. Still, when we raised concerns, most issues were addressed. And so, this Thanksgiving season, we are grateful for the people who genuinely care of our Mom at the Chatham Hills center.

My mother was matched with a wonderful care giver that meet with me to discuss what my mothers needs were. She truly made all the difference! These 4/5 star reviews I'm seeing here and on google are laughable, and must be from staff and fake…read moreaccounts because this place is an absolute embarrassment to humanity.  The way patients are treated, the patient to staff ratio, the food quality, the lack of empathy from staff (PT and Drs. excluded), and the directors who seem to disappear when you need them and refuse to return call, all add up to a total nightmare for anyone who is unfortunate enough to be sent here for some reason or another.  If you are reading this, please visit this place before sending your loved ones here, they don't even attempt to hide how little they care.  It's plain to see this oddly decorated building is just a money maker for those who own it.  Don't let a social worker talk you into sending someone you love to this horrible place.

Atlantic Visiting Nurse Hospice is a fantastic service. They cared for my 97 yo father who had end…read morestage dementia. Everyone from the office staff to the nurses to the aides were so caring, supportive and respectful. Social worker was amazing and very supportive to me. Very responsive anytime I needed something even if I needed something in the middle of the night. I can contrast this with the care I received from another hospice group for my 94 yo old mother, also with dementia. They did nothing other than provide a comfort pack. One of the nurses actually yelled at me from across the street! My point is that it really matters who you choose for care. They provide grief support groups and one-on-one counseling; the other group did nothing more than send me photocopied letters telling me how I should feel! I cannot say enough good things about this service.

Our visiting nurse, Nonna and our social worker, Terry were amazing and compassionate caregivers. They are both very professional and kind and communicated all aspects of our fathers care and condition with my sister and I. It was such a relief and comfort to know that our father was well taken care by two such competent professionals during his final years.
