The staff here is efficient and attentive. If I come here in pain, I cannot feel down long, because…read morethe energy level here is always so high. They are taking money for Cancer Research on Mondays, and will do almost anything that you ask them, for a donation. I asked my PT, Alina, to do a dance. She and another PT, Lauren, did a dance called the NeNe, very good I might add. The dance was quick, and I was glad to give my donation. So glad to have chosen this location for my care. (I do not live in California, so when I can, I will change the city and state)

I went here for the entire Thanksgiving break to visit a very close family member who recently…read moresuffered a severe brain injury. The service and care really seemed to vary from day to day. One night there would be lots of staff coming in and out to take care of my great aunt.. another night no one came for over an hour when she really needed assistance. It's unsettling to think of a loved one in a place where they might not be getting everything they need- even more unsettling when this person has lost their ability to communicate verbally or otherwise. I don't feel this is the case here, however, the some of the nurses and aides could definitely be more attentive. There seems to be some sort of power struggle going on- nurses refusing to do what they think aides should handle and that type of thing. If someone needs to be lifted into bed and you can help I don't understand why you'd stand there for five minutes explaining that you won't help. Either get someone or give a hand. Same thing for toileting, feeding, changing, etc. Of course, some staff definitely stood out. Lynn is an excellent and caring nurse. Felicia was also wonderful. The speech pathologist, Mara, and occupational therapist (I can't remember her name) both appeared to be doing their very best to help my aunt recover through therapy. Perhaps the problem with Kessler is too little staff for too many patients. I can't imagine someone being here without a family member going in daily to look in on them and to make sure that everything is being taken care of. This isn't a bad place and I really don't have much to compare it to. My rating is based on the fact that they don't seem to have all of the medical equipment they need or the staff support necessary for the patients.

They told my family member to just poop on themselves rather than take them to the bathroom. Whats worse is they are crooks and scam artists posing as therapist. Everybody gets a motorized wheelchair!! They tried to convince me to change insurance so their personal vendor was covered. They tried to get me to start a GoFundMe for equipment, that was provided for free to loan from Gleason foundation. Please, please steer clear of the inpatient side of this facility. Outpatient doctor and team seemed very competent; however, upstairs is like something out of a horror movie. And as for "state of the art" Check out the photos!

I received excellent care at this location…read more I had been living in miserable pain for months. It got to the point where I couldn't even sleep because every time I turned my head in the night, I woke up with shooting pain starting at the base of my skull and extending all the way down to my elbow on my right side. I was on pain medication. My general practitioner couldn't help me. Finally, I saw a back and spine specialist who recommended Kessler rehabilitation. Puneeth did a really great job evaluating my strength (or lack thereof) and range of motion. He was able to identify that my pain was caused by muscular imbalance that was the result of poor posture and hours of sitting at my desk. He designed a protocol of exercises for me to do at Kessler and at home. A few weeks later I feel physically better than I have in probably a year. I'm not on pain medication and I can sleep at night. This was my first experience was physical therapy and the results honestly far exceeded my expectations. FYI - The front office was very upfront about my co-pay and insurance. No issues there. It was very clear from the beginning what my out-of-pocket would be and there were no surprises.

I waited a month for an appointment because they are short of therapists. The therapist took down the information and lead me to a bench and instructed me to do some leg exercises. He walks away. Doesn't bother to stay with me while I was doing exercises to make sure they were done correctly and to keep count while I was doing them to assure I done the recommend amount of stretches. Then I waited 2 weeks for the next appointment and I asked him about a temporary locker where I can storage my clothes while doing therapy. He pointed very rudely and said Locker Room is over there. I looked and couldn't find it and He got annoyed and showed the locker room. I walked into the locker room only to find one bench and lockers the were for employee use only and a employee was having a big lunch in locker room that also has a toilet in the open by bench. Then I asked him when I should come back and for how many appointments. He harshly THE RECEPTIONIST WILL TELL YOU !!!! And he walked away. Then I waited a week and half for my appointment because they were booked. And its not that they are good the reason why they are booked, it just they have their patients schedule all their future appointments in advance and most of the the patients don't even show for some of them. This is a problem for any future or current patients to get an appointment Then I came for my next appointment and my therapist was not in and they put me with a therapist who was working with me and another patient, And I had to wait a long time for him to get to me. When he is supposed to treat one patient at a time. After three exercises he comes over to me and tells me my time is up. He spent more time with the other patient on the time that was mine and I was paying for. They were supposed to deal with my leg and back. But I had 5 appointments and he never dealt with my back once. he did not do what my Orthopedist requested And these people are of no help. I fired the SOB and now I am with another therapist. Do not use these people they will not help your pain.
