Mail Boxes Etc

Most Mailboxes Etc are pretty accommodating. I walked in this morning to an empty store and two…read moreworking attendants. Needed a last minute print job done (11x17 paper poster ) - nothing fancy - just 6-10 A3 posters. There was no one in there. No customers in line. No printers running. 2 working attendants. Completely silent. The attendant who attempted to help me looked visibly annoyed "because someone didn't show up for their shift" and immediately told me in a smug voice - "you can leave your usb drive here and we ll print it. But I don't know when it will be done. We re completely backed up. We ll call you." Me: how long do you think it will take? Attendant: *rolls eyes* - I don't know. The job is very simple and only took Brighton Print Centre 2 minutes to complete. Because MBE was "too busy". There WAS no one in there! Wtf. Lol. I could literally do the job myself. Open file. Select format. Print. Brighton Print Centre took they're time, with phones ringing, and two people in queue to quickly print it out for me. I'll give MBE two stars cause I genuinely use the service worldwide and maybe the attendant was having a bad morning. But still.. a £6 job now cost me £20 cause I had to take an Uber to a more accommodating shop.

Staying on a vinyl tip, I don't think there's anything better than recieving a new album or two…read morethrough the mail. I regularly buy old or re-issued albums labels like Light In The Attic and always feel over the moon when they arrive in brown hardback envelopes marked Don't Bend. The problem is, it's tricky sending albums to other people when it's so damn hard buying 12" mailers. There used to be lots of stationary shops selling stuff like this but it's now a case of either buying a case of 50 online or going to Mailboxes Etc and shelling out a couple of pounds for a solitary one. As you might have guessed, Mailboxes Etc is not the cheapest place to buy padded envelopes and mailers. They do however, have a big stock of different sizes ones alongside bubblewrap, sharpies, poster rolls, stationary, sellotape and big packs of paper. I go there every now and then and am grateful they're still going but god damn, their prices are high! For those with deep pockets, they also do digital printing, faxing, packaging and courier services.

AVOID OR RISK HAVING THEM LOSING/STEALING YOUR GOODS. ZERO LIABILITY…read more Used DPD local UK to ship goods from UK to Portugal (Parcel 15976810122024). Goods were last seen in their warehouse, only reachable by their staff, yet went missing. After a 2-month dispute with their staff, they offered around 20 GBP compensation and later around 50 GBP, out of the approx 2000 GBP original value of the goods. Calling costumer support over and over, with photos of the package being delivered to their driver, I kept being forwarded to useless staff asking me to call/contact someone else. Package was finally tagged as "delivered" on their website (yet was never delivered), and everytime I'd call I'd hear "Sorry it's been delivered". After posting this review, DPD contacted TripAdvisor who contacted me several times to show proof of what I had written. And so I did. Review stayed published, yet it's now gone, so I'm reposting it. Long story short: dont use DPD since they don't keep an eye on your goods while in transit, and if they are lost or stolen by their staff in their warehouse, you get NOTHING! Zero liability. Costumer service will exhaust you with politically-correct useless business chit chat. PS: there are a bunch of TrustPilot pages for DPD and DPD local with way more negative reviews (90% 1-star reviews), get the real picture by searching for the "DPD local" profiles on TrustPilot.

This wasn't good enough for DPD LOCAL as they spent the next 4 months asking for the same evidence I had given on numerous occasions. Because I didn't reply to their request for proof of purchase, which I had already sent (original invoice from Wicks) on numerous occasions they have closed my case. There's no contact phone no or email address and the only way forward is this useless online portal. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! DO NOT USE DPD LOCAL.
