My dog and I found a new vet care after moving to SFV. The place is large enough to accommodate other furry pals. Space is bright, clean, and doesn't smell like a vet clinic. This is located in a mall, and parking is shared with other businesses. I guess the price for a check-up, blood work is pretty close to what I used to pay for in South Pasadena. Getting an appointment was very easy. You have to call and speak with someone. They do have an IG account, but you do have to call when scheduling an appointment. Staff and Dr. Chang were friendly enough.

I can't say enough great things about Brighter Veterinary Center! My dog, Clifford, unfortunately tore a ligament or two while playing, and needed an extensive TPLO surgery. When I first asked my primary vet if they performed this type of surgery, they let me know they didn't--but they highly recommended Dr. Ock at Brighter Veterinary Center due to his expertise in orthopedic procedures. Initially, I went to another specialist that a relative recommended, but I was completely shocked when they quoted me $9,000-$11,000 for the procedure! I knew it would be pricey, but that was beyond what I expected, even with Pet Insurance I felt that was a bit much. That's when I did some research and reached out to Brighter Veterinary Center. From the start, they were incredibly accommodating--I was able to get an appointment quickly, and after some X-rays and diagnostic maneuvers, they confirmed that Clifford's right CCL was torn and needed surgery. I'm so glad I got a second opinion because not only was the care exceptional, but the pricing was also far more reasonable. Scheduling Clifford's surgery was smooth, and the entire staff--from the front desk team (Cassandra, Louie, and others) to the techs (Jack and more) to Dr. Ock himself--made the process as stress-free as possible. What really sets this place apart is that they also offer rehabilitation services. I've scheduled Clifford for red-light laser therapy, which helps with pain management, inflammation reduction, and wound healing--so I'm hopeful this will speed up his recovery and keep him comfortable. Clifford still has bi-weekly check-ups to ensure the TPLO plates and screws are in place, and every visit has been a positive experience. The team is always welcoming, and Dr. Ock is incredibly transparent and informative, taking the time to explain everything and walk me through Clifford's treatment options. Even though I'm a newer patient here, I can wholeheartedly recommend Brighter Veterinary Center. They are professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable, and they genuinely care about your pets. If you're looking for a vet that provides top-tier care without outrageous pricing, this is the place to go!

Scheduled a same-day appointment and were able to get our boy treated right away. Such a nice, clean vet office with truly kind and caring staff.

They recognized signs of how our dog is feeling and offered to do their services in the separate treatment room so that our dog wouldn't keep feeling like he must protect us! Afterwards, we were consulted on everything that occurred and were given valuable information on what other steps we could take. I really appreciate Dr Cohen taking her time to discuss with us everything and both sides asked and answered questions. She was very kind and as our first vet to come across, she didn't make us feel worried and eased our stresses. The standard of care here was very amazing and I have no worries coming back here in the future for invaluable pet care.

My puppy didn't need to have another booster for a year. Spent money on unnecessary procedure and I felt so guilty for putting my puppy through a shot he didn't need. On top of that, they asked me to come back in a month later for ANOTHER BOOSTER SHOT!! They are very eager to schedule your next appointments but wasn't competent to take proper care of my puppy.

This is not my first review of our beloved Dr G, and I just recommended her to 6 more people again just these past 2 weeks. I always say to people I give her card to: "you will discover she is an Earth Angel - if she moved to a different town, I'd take my pup there... When you find a great vet, they are Gold! She's not only compassionate, present and knowledgeable, but also she does not oversell." Besides all the regular check ups, Dr G. has performed 2 substantial surgeries on my pup in the last 8 years, and has been extremely kind, providing valuable reassuring step-by-step updates throughout, especially aware that I had lost my beloved first dog, (with a different vet), when he did not make it through the anesthesia... In the 8 years Dr G. has been our one and only vet; everyone I have sent to Dr G. has fallen in love with her, and has thanked me for the referral. I trusted Dr G and her small compassionate team with the euthanasia of my precious second dog, Handsome. She is truly an Angel on Earth. At her Chatsworth location, I love that she's created a lovingly cozy "home environment" for the euthanasia experience. That it so needed during that deeply emotional time, and more veterinary offices ought to follow her example. I found her many years ago when I was dissatisfied with a busy veterinary front desk in Sherman Oaks, after they had made errors in my first dog's chart. Unfortunately he passed, and I learned that finding the RIGHT professional truly makes ALL the difference. So yes, I drive from Sherman Oaks. Gratefully so :) I am thankful that my cherished pups are her patients. Her ethics, her care, her kindness, her knowledge, her integrity - she's our number 1!!!

Dr. Gonzalez was kind, patient, and thorough, taking the time to explain each step of the euthanasia process. She ensured our dog's maximum comfort throughout, even creating a makeshift pillow so he could rest peacefully. We were heartbroken, but her understanding and gentle approach gave us comfort while making the process completely painless and stress-free for our giant furbaby. She was available the same day and brought in a caring team afterward to respectfully and compassionately assist with our 132-pound dog. The thoughtfulness, professionalism, and empathy shown by Gemcore made an unbearable moment a little more bearable. We are deeply grateful and highly recommend them to anyone seeking a veterinary team that truly cares.

Dr. Valencia called me mid-procedure, saying my dog had lost four teeth during the cleaning and that another needed to be pulled due to the risk of infection, which could spread to his eyes or heart. She made it sound like if I didn't approve, my dog's life would be at risk. Panicked, I agreed. Immediately after, I called my vet friend in another state, who advised me not to approve the extraction. When I called the hospital back just five minutes later, they had already pulled the tooth and somehow, yet another one had "come out" as well. That brought the total to six teeth lost in one day. I brush my dog's teeth daily, so it's hard to believe they just "fell out." And after all that, they still expected me to pay $588. This experience was beyond disappointing it was devastating. I trusted this place for years, but now I regret ever coming here. He is only 4 years old and this has been a nightmare. i absolutely do not recommend going to this place ever again.

She was very understanding and she was able to answer every single question I had since this was my first time bringing my pet to urgent care. She was absolutely wonderful and it has amazing customer service. Thank you Esmeralda for your hard work and attentiveness. Vet. Giles, was absolutely amazing. Cons: as I was filling out paperwork at the front office I noticed that the lady in the middle, her name is Melissa, she's a taller Caucasian lady wearing a bun last night... I felt like she was a bit rude because she snickered while I was asking Esmeralda questions about the paper that I was filling out because I wasn't sure about a certain things or I didn't understand a certain things and I thought that was not OK for Melissa to snicker at one of the questions I asked. It was very rude and made me feel uncomfortable, but I forced myself to stay there because I was worried about my dog. Overall, everyone was wonderful, including the lady that was sitting on the right of Melissa, which is the far end did not get her name, but she waved goodbye to me which felt more welcoming rather than hearing Melissa Snickers. Overall, Esmeralda, Jose and Vet Giles were outstanding; they are the star of the show.

After my experience on March 14th, I will never set foot in this building again. I called to make the agonizing, gut-wrenching decision to say a final goodbye to my dog. After being put on hold and then hung up on, I finally reached a staff member who was the definition of a heartless robot. While I was in the middle of a life-shattering crisis, this man treated me with a "car dealer" coldness that was frankly disgusting. He actually had the audacity to tell me I "picked a horrible day" to come in because they were "so busy on Saturdays." Let me be very clear: Nobody "picks" the day their beloved pet dies. It is a tragedy, not an "inconvenience" for your weekend schedule. To be talked to like a nuisance during my most vulnerable moment is a shameful failure of basic human decency. The fact that he only attempted to flip a switch and be "kind" once he realized I was a regular patient is even more insulting. Compassion shouldn't be a tiered service based on your database--it should be a requirement for the job. If you work in a veterinary office and can't summon a shred of empathy for a grieving owner, you are in the wrong profession. You do not get to be a rude, inconsiderate robot when people are saying goodbye. I found an amazing, truly compassionate vet elsewhere who handled this difficult time with the grace my dog deserved. I am moving all of my other pets to that practice and will never look back. If you are looking for an ounce of empathy during a crisis, stay far away from this place.

The vet, Dr. Gouldburn, was equally as friendly & attentive, & really took his time with us to understand what was going on, examine our dog, & go over the best course of action with us. No unnecessary bloodwork or x-rays were taken or even suggested. He felt confident enough about his diagnosis & suggested we try the pain meds first. Two days later they called to follow up with me to see how our dog was doing, & see if the medication was helping. A few days later our dog developed an irregular symptom, so I called the office. After explaining the symptom to the receptionist, she had me email them a picture & the vet would follow up with me after reviewing it. They could have totally asked me bring my dog in & pay the exam fee so I really appreciate their honestly with not charging their customers unnecessarily. That evening the vet called me & let me know that after reviewing the picture, it did not look like an urgent situation, & to just monitor my dog & let them know if the issue persists or if any other new symptoms develop. He was right, the symptom was not cause for concern & went away the next day. I am so impressed with their office & protocols, & I would definitely recommend them.
