I came home for military leave and needed to see an urgent dentist. I Went there on 23 Dec because I chipped a tooth. Was seen immediately and was told I needed a filling to save my tooth. No numbing was needed and I was In and out within an hour. HOWEVER, that same filling broke and came out a week later after eating a piece of pepperoni and the nerve was exposed this time. Now im stuck paying a 300 dollar bill after having my issued fixed for 1 week. Went back to my military base and my dentist said they didn't file, clean, or treat my exsiting tooth that's why my filling broke off so soon. read more

I called for a cavity because I was in pain and they got me in less than 2 hours after I called for x rays. It was confirmed I had a cavity and they fixed it while I was there! The female dentist I saw was very kind and talked me through it all (it was my first cavity, I was terrified). I also don't have dental insurance, and I only had to pay $230 for it all which I was surprised - I thought it would cost more! So far my experience has been great. I scheduled my next appointment for a cleaning and full exam, so I hope to have the same great experience then! read more

Don't go here! They do not tell you they're out of network. When you ask if they take your insurance they say they do but DO NoT INFORM YOU THEIR OUT Of NETWORK! You will find out when you get a surprise bill in the mail. Furthermore front desk and billing people are horrible. They told me my BCBS insurance is through some Omaha mutual and tell you that Omaha sends the patient the check and that you owe them even more. ridiculous! I love my crowns! Really recommended! Dr Tanvi Patil who worked on my teeth is very knowledgable, polite, patient and meticulous. Also, other assistants are very polite, fast and professional. I feel scammed. I explained that my 6 year old was having pain and headaches from a tooth that I have been getting the run around about from other dentists, they proceeded to do the same thing. They told me to come in but if I came too late they wouldn't be able to do any treatment that day. Turns out they wouldn't do treatment if it had been 9 am. They did x rays and the dr examined her and said " ok, I'm gonna have to refer you to a pediatric dentist". So I asked why would you have me come here to tell me that? To get insurance money for the exam and xrays? I didn't need you tell me what I already knew, she has cavities. He said I can't just refer you I have to do an exam, but if you don't work on 6 year olds then don't have me come in here. Just tell me to go somewhere else because now you charged my insurance for "looking" at her teeth and now you want to go to your cousin that you referred me to. Absolutely not! read more

My first and last visit to this office. My original appointment was for 3:30 but the day of the appointment they called and asked if I could come in an hour early, sure no problem. I arrived at 2:30 and signed in and filled out the paperwork, and waited... and waited... Around 3:30 (the original time) I was called back to actual start the visit and had xrays and what not... Then I waited and waited some more. Then I was visited by Becky the hygienist. She was pleasant enough but had way too much advice to offer and lectured me on my bad habits way too much. Do I have perfect dental hygiene, No. but I don't appreciate the lectures on all the things I have been doing "wrong". Then she proceeded to "teach" me a lesson. it almost seemed like she went the extra mile to inflict the most amount of discomfort to show me how bad it was. She went so far as to hand me a mirror to show me. Yeah I get it. How about instead of showing me and inflicting pain, why not be genital and work your way up to the full "really get in there" routine. I mean geeze I felt like all my teeth had been rearranged. Then when she was done, I waited some more. By this time i had been in the office for more then 2 hours. A half hour later the Doctor came in and evaluated the situation. I think at one point I actually fell asleep waiting for someone to actually do something. 3 hours later I was finally leaving the office never to return. read more

I saw a dentist this past Sunday, at Bright Side Dental in Warren, who charged my insurance $223 to take 2 x-rays, have the dentist literally look in my mouth for 2 minutes & have someone put in a fake filling that didn't last an hour. The dentist, told me that I would need a $2,000 out of pocket root canal & crown, after insurance. This was after he looked at the tooth and said he couldn't do anything for me "because he didn't have time," after his staff had told me to "hurry up & come in" & that he "would take care of me." I had even asked him to just pull the tooth and again, was told, "he didn't have time, I would have to come back." The office seemed dirty & was undergoing renovations. The equipment seemed old. There were patients' files all over the floor behind the reception desk. I asked the lady who brought me back about the renovations & she joked about them doing construction at the same time as they were doing them on Hoover and she said that the office had started theirs first! Really??? Because they have been working on Hoover for a few months now!!! The chair I was put in seemed dirty & I had shorts on and wished I had changed before I went in. If they charge my insurance, I will be disputing it because they literally, did nothing for me.... if I could give this place negative stars, I would! On the contrary, I went and saw Dr. Dobry on Monday; his office squeezed me in as well. He, on the other hand, made time to not only fit me in, he took his time with me and did a great job! He took an X-ray and instead of charging me an astronomical amount for an unnecessary root canal & crown, was honest and said that the tooth was broken so far down that the crown would not seal properly and would be leaking within 3 years and the tooth would need to be pulled anyway. He recommended just pulling the tooth. Which, he did and it only cost me $39 out of pocket!!! His staff even called me the day after to make sure I was ok! His office was clean & state of the art! If I could give 0 stars, I would. While the hygienists and dentist were incredibly kind and helped me through my cleaning despite having a deep-rooted phobia of the dentist, the front desk staff neglected to tell me that my insurance was out of network after I called and asked many times prior to my appointment. When I received the treatment plan for my cleaning and the work I would be needing afterward, I thought it was weird that a cleaning and polish that *should* have been covered by my insurance was going to cost me over $100, but no one cared to say "oh, it's because you're out of network." When I called to have my x-rays sent to a new dentist due to Bright Side Dental's negligence regarding my insurance coverage, I was told I would AGAIN need to shell out money to these people to have the x-rays sent to the new dentist "because they gave me a new patient deal" and only charged me $1 for the x-rays. That's nice, those are still my files and the fact that I'm even spending my precious time switching to a different dentist is because the staff was unethical and decided not to make one extra call to find out if they took my insurance. I do need a wisdom tooth removed, but they've been telling me here at Bright Side Dental of Warren that I will 100% need a root canal and crown on the tooth next to it and that it will cost me $2000, which after reading the other reviews on here makes me glad that I'm going to another dentist to get another opinion. For a company who claims to take the stress out of dental care, I have never been more frustrated in my life. For a specialty that already has such high avoidance rates because of the fear, this is one hell of a way to drive even more people away. I for sure will be letting everyone and anyone I know to stay FAR FAR away from Bright Side Dental unless they want to be given half truths, lied to, and forced to pay for services that would be covered by a dentist willing to check if they were in network or not. read more

Go somewhere else! My ex had my son under his dental plan and originally was going there. When I went there with my son on Monday, they told me he had 6 cavities in between his teeth. Not only that, they said that insurance only covered 40% of the fillings and it would be $979 for the fillings. Something told me that wasn't right and I decided to go to a different dentist for a second opinion. I am so glad I did! I took him on Wednesday to the dentist I chose and they took better X-rays and actually checked his mouth out... in 2 days his cavity count went from 6 to 2, tell me how that is possible?! And to fill the two cavities after insurance was $171. The construction on the building is acceptable, however, the make shift rooms they have people in are too small and they should probably combine a few to make them a little larger so you can actually have more than a square inch to move around in. And hopefully they replace the chairs and equipment when they are finally done with construction. I would never recommend this place to anyone....ever... read more

I highly recommend this office. The front office staffs works really hard to work around your schedule and remind you of your appointments. They are very kind and polite as well. The new remodel looks great and very clean/ professional. It always smells very nice in the building as well. As for as Dr. Saluja he is the best I've had in my life. I first came to BSD as an emergency patient on a Saturday morning. I had a dry socket from one wisdom tooth removal at a previous dentist. They repaired this dry socket and took great care of me. That was one year ago and I've been a patient ever since. I most recently had the remaining wisdom teeth removed and during my visit the assistant Debbie made sure to set the mood for me with lowered shades and sounds of nature playing in the background. I was really nervous again. Dr. Saluja took out my wisdom teeth with great precision. He made sure every second that I was comfortable before preceding. He was even tuned in with my breathing and guided me through deep breaths as he did his job simultaneously. The most shocking thing is that he removed my bottom wisdom tooth without any surgery needed when other dentist would have. My recovery was speedy and my follow up went super smooth. I have one more upcoming major appointment in April for a same day crown (WOW!) and now that I know what great hands I am in, I am not longer afraid or nervous. You will not find any other dental office like BSD in Warren. read more

Nice people! But they lie about insurance coverages! My mom came in to set up an appointment to fix a chip tooth for my dad. Whichever girl she spoke said they took my moms insurance and recommended both my parents get cleanings. It's been a while since my parents had gone to the dentist, so of course my mom set up appointments. Copay for a standard cleaning is around $55. My parents went in for cleanings soon afterwards, but after the cleaning was done, they were told to pay $600. My mom was confused because BS Dental told them they took my parents insurance. The girl told her it was for the "deep cleaning." My mom wished that was disclosed before anything was done because my parents would've refused the service. They told her she had to pay $400 now and then pay $200 by her next appointment, because you know.. this place apparently schedules two appointments for one procedure. Clean one day, and then the polishing is done another day. My mom was shocked at the $600 but the girl simply just asked if that was going to be on charge or cash. I went up there a few days later with the bill to have them explain the bill to me. The girl sweetly explained it was so expensive because they had deep cleanings, but that there was nothing else they had to pay besides the $600. I even double checked with the same girl when I went back in with my parents for the "2nd part" of the cleaning. And then a couple weeks later we were slapped with a $800+ bill from BS Dental. When we called to question this, they said my moms insurance actually covered less than what these fools had guessed they would cover!!! So now, in addition to not disclosing the cost difference between a regular cleaning and a deep cleaning before performing any work, BS Dental also does not know how to bill insurance companies. But to comfort us they CLAIMED they had discount a mere $100 bucks off. My parents are now down over $1,200 when they originally went into set an appointment to fix a chipped tooth. My parents barely make enough to make ends meet, and have been struggling to pay off this stupid bill in the small 3 month time frame they were given. My advice, go somewhere else!!! And if you decide to go here, make sure they disclose to you about the cost of all your "dental work," other wise you too will end up with a $1,200 bill. read more

Great experience! Dr. Saluja and his staff are the best. There was no pain and that was my worst fear. I was also able to walk in unscheduled as an emergency when my tooth broke. Shera met with me on my first visit and was able to calm me down and explain everything to me. Her great customer service on that first visit really encouraged me to return. Let me start by saying that I am totally terrified of the dentist!!! I had to do a search to find an awesome place that could understand my plight and horrid history with dentists. This place was wonderful! From the time I called to schedule an appointment to the time I sat in the chair. Unfortunately Dr. told me... I have to get my root canals done over and I was brought to tears... I was devastated. But, he made me feel like I could do it... gave me options for as less pain as possible. He even stayed in with me as I cried. Lol. When I look up its like 4 people in my doorway showing support. Sorry for the long spill but this was important to me. Needless to say I have an appointment soon for a retreat of my root canal. Smh. I'm trusting Bright Side to take care of me. I'll be back to let you know... My fellow review guroos. read more
