If they are really struggling instuctors will help your child. Some staff members are better at explaining than others. Otherwise your child is left alone to do worksheets. If I could do it over I would print a pile of worksheets off of a math website and save$1600 over 6 months. In the beginning they acted like they would work with my child's teacher when necessary but their worksheets didn't remotely go along with the local school curriculum and we were only allowed to use part of the tutoring time to go over areas of strugle with current schoolwork. no more than half the session could be used to help with understanding homework or reviewing Problem areas before a test. In short, if you have money to burn mathnasium is ok but for most of us this is a lot of money. I have found by asking around We could dig up a tutor for a lot less money and without getting stuck into a contract. The best tutor Mathnaium had was a high school student. I should have asked myself before we signed up, If it was so good why would they need a contract that locked us up so long.
