It was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, easily better than the seafood chowder in my opinion. If you're deciding between the two, go with the clam chowder. The calamari was another highlight! Perfectly crispy on the outside while still tender inside, and not overly greasy like some places tend to do. Overall, great experience with some standout dishes that I'd come back for. First of all, the renovation at Suncoast is stunning. We actually frequent this casino more, now that it's bougie. Lol Now for this restaurant feedback. It's good food and good prices but be prepared to wait during the weekend lunch hours. There's only 1 Chef and 1 server until after 12:30pm or 1pm when the hostess and another sous chef starts their shift.. by then there are at least 12 orders waiting so chef is trying his best to accommodate all orders but he's just 1 person, prep, cook and serve. So he's pretty overwhelmed and looks stressed. If you are not in a rush and can wait, it's a pretty good spot for lunch. Don't fault the service. The staffs are all lovely and doing their best. The problem is the staffing so it's management mismanagement, not the employees. They work really really hard trying to serve all the hungry people. read more

We came here on a Sunday evening and were seated right away. Our order was taken quickly and the food came out fast as well. I ordered the seafood bouillabaisse and my husband got the gumbo. Stopped in as we were deciding on this place or the one next door. Saw the Lemon lobster linguine and Mom was sold that this is what she wanted. She was worried about smelling bad, but it did not the whole restaurant. We work quickly sat and got some bread for the table. Mom already knew what she wanted and I quickly figured out. I wanted to try the Sushi I thought about the ceviche, but it had scallops in it, and I'm not a huge fan of scallops. Our waiter was new but he was efficient. I am really in between a three and a four but they don't allow us to add a half Mark. So far everything that I've tried at this location has been pretty good the Cobb salad is great and so is the clam chowder. Had a better pan roast at other locations so won't order this here. Was seated quickly as I sat at the bar. The stools were high and kind of hard to climb on. The location was not so busy. Our server was nice. I ordered clam chowder and salmon. The clam chowder was creamy but not very hearty. It was served with crackers. The salmon was served with carrots and green beans. The was not very tasty at all. It was also extremely greasy. Omgosh how much I love it here! $1.50 oysters on Wednesdays is a steal and their seafood Cobb salad has been an obsession since I first had it a handful of months ago. This is at minimum a monthly venture! If not biweekly. Quality was so fresh, they use blue lump delicious crab in the seafood Cobb, and they let me exchange the blue cheese with just ranch and it's divine. I'm pretty snooty about my ranch. We have been going to Briggs for years and this weekend we went to see our usual Glenn and Luis. We were looking forward to eating great food and some sushi. Well guess what? They renovated this place a little bit and once they did that, it seems they also got rid of their best employees who has been there for years if not over a decade or two. Glenn and Luis were no longer there, no sushi station, and the menu was cut down to more than half. Unbelievable!! Las Vegas just keeps removing the few best places to eat and also getting rid of their best employees just to save a buck or two. We got up and left very disappointed. Never going to Briggs again. I am sure a lot of the local customers who comes here a lot will feel the same. This was the best Oyster bar in town for us as we knew it, now it is probably going to lose it's customer base and close down. Oh well if they go out of business it is their own doing. read more

Located conveniently in the Suncoast Casino, Briggs' Oyster is very easy to access.There are traditional bar seats and sit down tables, and booths. Vanessa our server was very attentive. The menu is what you would find at a traditional oyster bar. There is also a selection of sushi, rolls, and sashimi. We started with an order of a dozen oysters on the half shell. Tip: $1.50 oysters on Wednesdays. My wife got the Shrimp & Crab Pasta and I ordered the Pan Roast. The seafood in Shrimp & Crab Pasta was very fresh and well seasoned. The sauce is more of a thicker creamy white sauce like an Alfredo sauce. The portion size is on par with other oyster bars. The Pan Roast was a bit more sour than what I am accustomed to. There was a mini lobster tail that was a bit overcooked and rubbery. The portion size was just okay. I was so excited to go here, and it was pretty dead for lunch on a Saturday. My friend and I both ordered oysters and they just didnt taste very good :/ however, he did rave about the soup (they have a great lunch special for soup and salad). I recently visited the Briggs Oyster Bar at the SunCoast casino for lunch with a friend, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. We stood in line for about 16minutes before being seated. While waiting, we noticed only two staff members handling everything- one serving and the other splitting time between serving and bussing tables. There were at least 4 other customers behind us, also waiting. To be considerate and efficient, we decided on our order ahead of time so we could place it immediately once seated. We ordered salads, soup and half dozen oysters to share. The oysters arrived first, followed by the salads- but the soup never came. After waiting about 12 minutes, I asked a gentleman in a suit about it. He apologized and asked if we still wanted the soup of which we both said yes. By then, the timing of the meal was already off. Another issue was cleanliness. My lap napkin had visibly black blotches and looked dirty. I pointed it out, and again received an apology and an offer to replace it. While I declined, it was concerning enough that I mentioned I would be leaving a negative review. While we couldn't finish our soup and asked for a to go container, we were given a flat plastic container typically used for dry items. When we asked if they had proper containers for soup, we were told the only options were that or a flat styrofoam container- neither appropriate. The ambiance was ok, nothing special. The food itself was good, but the service was extremely poor and overshadowed everything else. Overall this was a frustrating experience. We were looking for something lighter to eat and saw the menu. It was a great decision. Luis was our server. We shared a bowl clam chowder, what was nice is they put it into 2 bowls. Service was good. However the oysters were very small. My seafood salad was very bland. Definitely missed some flavor. And $50 for 2 oyster shooters is a joke! They also didn't taste good. Don't like it when you order a cocktail and they take it upon themselves to pour you a more expensive brand to upsell and hopefully get a higher tip. We decided to have sushi tonight our server was Vanessa. She was very friendly and patience with the elderly person in our group. We pretty much had all the sushi offerings that was on the menu. Minus the two that had cream cheese in it. The exception being the seafood chowder which was delicious. I liked how they added the shrimp, scallops and fish in the soup raw. Letting the piping hot chowder cook them just right. The list of sushi we had is as follows. 1) Dragon roll 2) Rainbow roll 3) Shrimp Tempura roll 4) Spicy Tuna roll 5) Spider roll 6) Suncoast roll 7) Tiger roll 8) Rainbow Crunch roll. Only two sushi rolls we didn't order because again they had cream cheese in them. Needless to say our eyes were bigger than our stomach. So we took the rest to go along with the deserts.
