Cup of Clam Chowder
Cindy O.

Stopped in for a light lunch. On nice afternoon, sitting on the patio waa so nice. Great view of the water across street! Service was great from the start, friendly young lady working the front. Our server, Steven F, very friendly and helpful. Our food came out pretty quick as well! We all ordered cups of Clam Chowder, split a Brigitine Salad, and Soft Pretzels. Chowder was very good along with the salad. Pretzels were a bit too doughy and soft (reminded us of mall pretzels) and dipping sauces just okay, mustard(s) would be a better choice. Overall a good experience and woukd recommend.

Brunch Date at @brigantineseafood - Imperial Beach We parked right across the street for just $2 (win!) and walked in around noon on Sunday. You guys, the weather was chef's kiss: sunny with a light breeze. We grabbed a table at the bar and in the sun and honestly... perfection. The macadamia nut + coconut-crusted French toast immediately caught my eye so I paired it with scrambled eggs. Hubby went for the skirt steak chilaquiles and said it was fire. This spot is our go-to when we want beach vibes without fighting the crowds. They also accept OpenTable reservations, so if you're coming during peak brunch hours, book ahead. And for my drinkers... when I was still drinking, I always loved their Brig Margarita, and the Brig Mule was another fave. Imperial Beach + brunch + breeze = always a good idea.

This is a biased review as not only was I relatively intoxicated here and potentially made some friends, but this is also waaayy too close to my new apartment, and I will certainly end up here again. And I didn't even drink that much.....in my opinion. The drinks here are REALLY strong. Like, I get an old fashioned fairly often, and I've almost never gotten one this strong. I was practically in Narnia prancing with fauns after the first glass. One of these cocktails is like........five cocktails on Coronado. Lol. I also got a chowder and fish tacos with coleslaw and chips. But since I was already on drugs, I don't want to review them in detail except to say that they were all good.

This place is right down the street, had to try it. Everything was good, i got the Crab & Shrimp Fondue, Lobster Tempura Tacos, Blackened Shrimp Flatbread and the Best Creme Brulee I've had. Definitely coming back again soon. Oh and I enjoyed the service and the vibes of the place. Can't go wrong with beach front restaurants.

Grilled shrimp tacos

Our server was fantastic. The atmosphere was welcoming. Started off with the grilled octopus. Have never tried that before, and it was tasty. The sauce, kale, chick peas, golden raisins, and sausage made it delicious! 4/5 stars I got the lobster tacos. Would definitely order them again! 5/5 stars Here is the notes on the rest of our party's choices: Surf and turf tacos-- good, but too many conflicting flavors going on. 2/5. Fish tacos--yum! 4/5 Grilled shrimp tacos--excellent! 5/5 Swordfish tacos--very good! 5/5 Other notes: Coleslaw is delicious. Chips are really good. Pepesi products (bummer).

I was pleasantly surprised by this beautiful restaurant. The service was great waitress was outgoing and friendly. Our food was amazing with good portions I would highly recommend the Mahi and swordfish tacos!! They also have a full bar with a selection of draft beer. What more can you ask for.

Salmon on the regular menu with the mustard, cream sauce and lightly blackened.

We went out to the local Brigantine for dinner last night. I ordered the salmon that's on the regular menu with the mustard cream sauce on the side and lightly blackened. It was fantastic and looking forward to ordering it again. The service is always special with KAT... everything she does is personalized. So if you're in Imperial Beach belly up at the bar and have a bite to eat... highly recommend. For a drink, you could try her Mai Thai or on tap the June Summer desert cooler kombucha... it has been nice for the summer. Course anything that KAT makes is so delicious.

The food is delicious here. The fish tacos are very good. The drinks are well made too. The service is excellent. Very satisfied with dining at this restaurant. We go almost every week. The ambiance is pleasant and not noisy at all.

Whenever we visit Imperial Beach we always have lunch at Brigantine. We always find parking in the free public lot a block and a half down the street. We come for an early lunch and haven't ever had to wait for a table. We always sit outside and enjoy the view. The service is always excellent and I've never been disappointed with my meal. I recommend the fish tacos! I've also enjoyed the shrimp and crab Louie salad for a lighter option. My only complaint is the cocktails, they can be pricey and in my experience have been hit and miss. I stick to my favorite glass of wine now. I recommend giving this Brigantine location a try.

First off, I lived say our waitress was absolutely fantastic! She was very upfront about all the service and the food options. Very attentive check on this multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed as well. Kat has been here 8yrs

This was supposed to be an update. I went out of my way to come to this restaurant. I had been here previously and had a wonderful experience. The food is delicious and the service was excellent. There's an area for people with dogs. It is a welcome place with comfortable seating.

Been here a couple of times when visiting SD and always an excellent time. Service is great, food is wonderful, happy hour specials lovely, and location across the street to walk off at the pier, perfection. Parking is a little crazy but you do what you gotta do.

The vibe was cute and laid back and the service incredible. Despite the fact that it was very busy, the food came out really quickly. They also have a young man who plays jazz piano there every Sunday, so the ambiance is pretty awesome along with the nice weather. I also had a matcha ginger thyme latte with oat milk which was just tasty since ginger is a rare flavor in coffee drinks. I loved it, and it was so good that I took an extra one home. The service is amazing, and on busy days you may have to wait a bit, but it's worth it. If you have any questions about a dish, don't hesitate to ask!

But Balsamico deserves its review, especially when the food is this incredibly delightful. We stopped by for Restaurant Week and although the service was a bit slow (which is to be expected when everyone has the same idea), our server was friendly, knowledgeable and offered great suggestions. We opted for the Montepulciano wine, the Truffle Arancini to start, the Pappardelle al Brasato (with slow-braised beef...holy moly, SOOOO flavorful !), and the pumpkin tiramisu for dessert. Oh and we also ordered the Gnocchi Pesto Shrimp because...why not? I have to say, every single dish was a 10/10! And can we talk about the Truffle Arancini for a second? It came with three little risotto balls, and I genuinely did not want to share the third one with my husband. They were easily some of the most creamiest risotto I've tasted to date. Everything we had that day was bursting in flavor. Honestly, you can't go wrong with Balsamico. Can't wait to go back.

Modena is a city in Italy's Emilia-Romagna region, famous for its UNESCO World Heritage historic center, luxury car industry (Ferrari & Maserati), and world-renowned gastronomy, particularly traditional balsamic vinegar, Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, and Lambrusco wine. The restaurant provided complimentary bread with their homemade balsamic vinaigrette, which was excellent!!
