Tables, BBQ grill and canopy to cover tables. Playground includes bark, monkey bars swing sets for both old and young. My son loves coming here to blow off steam after a hard day at Kindergarten class. The swings are perfect. A lot of people come to run or walk the track too which is great exercise and there's nothing else like it in the neighborhood. Parking is also available as it shares the same lot as the school next to it. Lots of trees, they did a really good job cleaning this up and doing this for the community.

The grass field is big, which was good for some soccer practice; it's also good for a run around the block. There's a set of three picnic tables and 2 grills. This was such a nice stop during our visit to Sacramento this past weekend. We're usually on the…read moreother side of the water in Old Sac, but wanted to check out the park and get closer to the river. The water levels were definitely high, with concrete pathways leading directly  into the water at some parts. But there is a public dock designed to rise with the water, so we were able to walk along the pier to enjoy some of the views while standing over the water (Old Sac waterfront, Delta King, Tower Bridge). We even saw (and heard) sea lions jumping onto the end of the dock, stretching out, playing, and relaxing, it was adorable! Back on land we walked along the trail on higher ground, watched the geese feasting on the plentiful grass, and admired the trees and nature all around. We even passed by the Subtile artwork by Federico Diaz and loved how it fit into the surroundings. The park and trail provided a calm and simple environment, and was clean for the most part (though underneath the bridge seemed a bit uninviting), and we appreciated every moment of our Sunday afternoon here. Parking was free and easy on Waterfront Place, near the Ziggurat (pyramid looking building).

We enjoy walking around the park, watching the animals in the pond, and exploring the rose garden. There's a lot of green space which allows my dog the perfect opportunity to sniff around when he's tired of walking on the paths. I like that there's easy parking here, plenty of shade, and a large space to explore so we can enjoy a quick walk or a longer adventure.

Right next to the playground is a great duck pond. It was a huge hit with the kids and provided a nice, scenic break from the climbing and sliding. Even late in the day, the park felt welcoming and well-maintained. It's a perfect destination for a family outing where the kids can safely burn off some energy.

The perimeter of the park features a gravel jogging trail that's nice terrain for a walk or a jog. If you choose to visit this park I wouldn't advise you do it alone. The park is in a secluded area so for your own personal safety, really, don't go at it alone. In fact, I don't recommend this park as a destination for a family day out with the children, either. Lock your car door, and don't leave any valuables in plain sight. The entrance to the park is a tad bit tricky since it does require a vehicle to cross over solid yellow lines, so look in all directions and be mindful of other vehicles (especially if they are painted black/white ... if you get my message).
