Very popular for jogging and hot girl/guy walking on the flat sidewalk/trail (most people here have spatial etiquette but there are a few who hog the whole pathway and expect everyone else to walk/run around them lol). Street parking on the perimeter of the park as well as in the surrounding neighborhood (all free but there is a 2-3 hr time restriction). I've never had trouble finding parking within a few blocks, and don't think you can outsmart parking attendants and make your own parking spot in a clearly designated no-parking zone because I saw a vehicle getting ticketed for that lol.

The space was beautiful and easy to decorate, and was perfect for our crowd, and would be perfect for any gathering. There were several metal picnic benches large enough for 9 people per bench and the space had a nice roof/canopy to keep us out of the sun. There were bathrooms close by, so that was very helpful. There was plenty of toilet paper on hand, and a blower to dry your hands but no running water. I would recommend bring a large container of water, and wipes and set up away from the crowd for emergency hand washing. There were also two drinking fountains, but no running water there either. The perimeter of the park features a gravel jogging trail that's nice terrain for a walk or a jog. If you choose to visit this park I wouldn't advise you do it alone. The park is in a secluded area so for your own personal safety, really, don't go at it alone. In fact, I don't recommend this park as a destination for a family day out with the children, either. Lock your car door, and don't leave any valuables in plain sight. The entrance to the park is a tad bit tricky since it does require a vehicle to cross over solid yellow lines, so look in all directions and be mindful of other vehicles (especially if they are painted black/white ... if you get my message).

The water levels were definitely high, with concrete pathways leading directly  into the water at some parts. But there is a public dock designed to rise with the water, so we were able to walk along the pier to enjoy some of the views while standing over the water (Old Sac waterfront, Delta King, Tower Bridge). We even saw (and heard) sea lions jumping onto the end of the dock, stretching out, playing, and relaxing, it was adorable! Back on land we walked along the trail on higher ground, watched the geese feasting on the plentiful grass, and admired the trees and nature all around. We even passed by the Subtile artwork by Federico Diaz and loved how it fit into the surroundings. The park and trail provided a calm and simple environment, and was clean for the most part (though underneath the bridge seemed a bit uninviting), and we appreciated every moment of our Sunday afternoon here. Parking was free and easy on Waterfront Place, near the Ziggurat (pyramid looking building).
