SITTER EXPERIENCE PRIOR: Sitter 1: Generally unreliable,…read moresuspected neglect/abuse at one point. Sitter 2: Awesome, but moved away after a few months Sitter 3: Wanted to take my daughter to go pick her sister up from the airport on day one and hang out with her sister. Couldn't understand why we were uncomfortable with that. Sitter 4: NCNS first two days I was done with it. Tired always wondering if we'd have a sitter and what condition my daughter would come back in. Enter Bright Horizons. We had toured the Chandler facility when my daughter was only 4 or so months old. They didn't have openings. I called in after the whole debacle above and they luckily had an opening in the Infant room (daughter 11mo at this point). We immediately enrolled. I knew I liked the place but I didn't know how much. Here are some highlights. * They take pictures throughout the day of your little ones - super nice. * They have a running log of what your little one does all day - down to how much they eat - super nice. * They have a plan for developing your little one such as music days, art days, etc. - super nice. * They help your little one develop in areas they need development. For my daughter she needed help eating more solid foods and they've got her eating more solids than we have ever gotten her to (maybe it is peer pressure of other kids, I dunno) - super nice. * They always seem staffed and share kids that are transitioning from one room to another. * They will abide by your special requests such as dietary. They have a nice selection of foods for the little ones to meet your special requests or their special needs - super nice. In short, I feel very fortunate to have been able to enroll here. And on a side note - God Bless those gals in the Infant room. They take all the crying in stride and still smile.

This school is absolutely phenomenal…read more From the very first day, it has felt like a second home for our child! My five-year-old yells out Spanish songs at bedtime, exclaims "¡Mira esto!" while attempting parkour off the couch, and gives me a side-eye every time I mispronounce "gracias." I'm not sure if I signed him up for preschool or a top-secret Spanish immersion boot camp, but either way, I'm blown away. Director Marcela is a gem--so warm, thoughtful, kind, and clearly leads with heart and purpose. And the teachers? They are saints - crakers-covered, angelic humans. They sing, dance, teach, comfort, and somehow manage chaos with a smile. Their warmth, patience, and dedication to the Spanish immersion experience are incredible. If you're looking for a place where your child will be loved, challenged, celebrated, and will accidentally become more bilingual than you, this is it. Five stars, all the way.

Newvista is a school that you would really like after a switch from public school but as you spend…read moremore time, you will realize a lot of things that need attention. Math and ElA curriculum hasn't changed over decades which they consider a strength ( may be it is in ELA but not in math) but kids excelling in math at nvce struggle anywhere and everywhere.Text books are so old that even school has had time stocking them. One of the reasons curriculum doesn't change is because teachers esp in advanced grades know how to teach that book but not necessarily that topic so they simply stick with those old books for comfort level of teachers. Teacher's qualification is not disclosed on website .Many of them probably don't hold any degree in what they are reaching.Bejng a private school, teachers don't have to comply with ongoing education/training .School doesn't participate in AZ standardized tests Infact has its own metrics/standardized tests so you are unable to really see where it stands compared to rest of the school. School really focuses on grouping based on kids levels which creates an unhealthy competition among class and parents.A lot of teacher tutor right after school dismisses and students taught by the teachers during those sessions, are then able to advance into higher groups so basically you spend more money after paying the monthly tuition. This is a very very common trend. School participates in national history day which is good but problem is the teacher who runs that is very biased.Years ago when her own child was participated in these competitions ( from middle school to high school), he would win awards in almost all categories.People felt nepotism at its very best. You pay for almost all the clubs and extracurriculars.Schools playground is too small. My child dreaded music and foreign language.Kids only do singing on music and no instruments at taught all.kids only learn numbers in Spanish pretty much the entire time.

But, we wanted something homely, clean, well cared for and where she feels like home. That's when, one of our friends reffered Lucky Child care. It's been a blessing since, Mrs Jyothsna Bottu has selflessly dedicated herself to the day care and the kids. Her sheer love for kids and the magic In her hands have nurtured our child through and through. Now, 3.5 year old our daughter loves going to the day care, has learnt to be independent, Enjoys learning and playing with the kids around. This has been the best decision so far and we love how the whole family is involved in making this Place the best it is.

The new owner never properly introduced themselves to the parents or explained what we could expect under the new management. They raised the weekly price by $60 with no explanation on why the price was required (and that price did not include any meals). My son started coming home with horrific diaper rash. According to the child care app, his diaper wasn't getting changed until 1030-11am despite being dropped off at 7am. He would scream and cry every time we tried to change his diaper and would also cry "it hurts!" We started dropping off a water each day because we didn't know whether he was getting fresh clean water every day. When we would pick up his water bottles, they would smell funky like they hadn't been cleaned in weeks. My son developed a fear of wearing sweatshirts and jackets because no one was taking his sweatshirt off and he would overheat. After a few months we removed our toddler and it was the best decision ever.
