Negatives: Coffee bar is Uber unwelcoming and the coffee was old and burnt. 100's of old magazines Oil change and wash took 2 hours and I was the only one there. Lady sitting at counter unwelcoming and on cell phone. TV not on No decorations for holidays, or music or festive So, without sounding spoiled, you don't have to have a bougie coffee bar or a big screen television. You don't have to have fall decorations. But you should be welcoming and maybe have a welcoming atmosphere. Car sales here may not be a problem, but knowing a dealership will try to make you comfortable while you have no choice but to wait on service, means the world. Maybe what I am sensing is a lack of pride in this workplace.

Derek was honest and very knowledgeable of the repairs needed to be done on my vehicle. My warranty Company wanted to put a bandaid on the repair or just simply total the vehicle and be done with it. I was extremely frustrated because I have only had the vehicle for 6 months and could not get rid of it! Derek advised me that he would have to turn down the job because he just did not work this way! He strongly felt his reputation as a mechanic was much more valued than to take on a job knowing I would have future problems with my vehicle. He stated he could not stand behind the suggested repairs of this Warranty Co and will not put himself out there as a crook to make a dollar. I respected his honesty and decided to have Peeps Garage fix my vehicle. Even though I am still having problems with my Warranty Co, my vehicle is repaired correctly and I no longer have to worry about breaking down. Thank You Derek

5 Stars!! John Chak Automotive did amazing work on my older SUV (having lived on the West Coast…read morefor several decades, my '04 had no rust, so it was worth putting in the required repairs & maintenance). Initially, I had two other mechanics look at my car and one wanted $2,700 just for the AC/heat repair! Mine needed that and balljoints & arms replaced + few more issues so the total spent was $5K but was very fair and included a 24 month or 24K miles warranty on the work completed. JCA are the first mechanics I've ever dealt with that included in the diagnosis, mphotos of every issue + returned the old parts to me. As it turns out, the previous mechanic in another state didn't perform most of the work of which I paid over $2500; he hasn't returned my four phone calls and three email inquiries for copies of my invoices, most of which were paid by cash. . .things that make ya go "hmmmm".... Everybody at John Chak Automotive is professional, efficient and friendly. I dealt with Tyler the most - 5 Stars, too! - and they performed the needed repairs in a timely manner. I am somewhat reluctant to refer businesses to others, unless I am very confident those seeking referrals will have a similar good experience, and I am truly happy to refer JCA to anyone seeking a reliable, fair and professional service establishment that operates with integrity and courtesy - that is John Chak Automotive! Thank you all for getting me on the road again.

Good, courteous and quick service but very high parts prices…read more I recently hepled out a friend by paying an invoice for car repair at John Chaks auto but was suprised at the amount considering the work that was done. On reviewing the bill I found that the reason for the high bill was the extremely high cost of parts even though all the parts used were after-market, not oem. They charged $984 for two control arms which can be purchased retail for as low as $60 and up to $140 retail, and $178 for 4 NGK spark plugs which retail between $7 and $10 each. (Prices from Rock Auto) Recognizing that they need a mark-up on parts prices to cover overhead and profit, this level of mark-up seems excessive, On questioning no real explanation was given for the high prices charged except some language about the waranty. When I asked for the manufacturer and quality of the after market parts and for the terms of the warranty I received no reply. My friend did get her car diagnosed and repaired correctly and promptlyy and the service was courteous however the veryhigh cost of parts lowers the rating to 3 stars.

It is not often you meet people this nice. We were on our way to a friend's place near Bonham when a tire on our trailer blew out. The guys at Bells Quality AutoCare came across US 69 to check on us and had us pull over into their parking area. They quickly changed our flat for us and even aired up the trailer tires to boot! They would not accept anything for their trouble... they just said that they hoped that someone would help them out if they were in need of help. How often in today's world do you find someone that generous? So, guys thank you very much and we wish you only the best!!!
